Dixon Drywall & Texture Inc

Run from these guys. They sub out their hanging, and it's not good. The walls are level nor straight. You can see their seams and the nail holes pop. I would highly recommend finding another drywaller.

Gentleman on the phone took dimensions I provided and told me he would get a quote to me in the next couple days. A month later, have not heard from them at all. Guess they weren't interested in my project?

Daryl and his team are very professional and strive for perfection. I consider myself a perfectionist and couldn't find 1 flaw with the work they did. Our job was started a few days later than originally scheduled because of issues out of their control, but he expedited the process to complete our project on time. Daryl always returned phone calls promptly. He cleaned up everything meticulously. He also gave us many tips on painting and trimming. We knew from the day he came and gave us the estimate that we wanted Daryl to do our basement. We would definitely hire him again.

I hired Daryl to drywall basement after I had framed it out. He was prompt with all his communication, was there when he said he'd be, and did a downright incredible job. We had a fairly tight schedule and were going to be out of town on vacation when we wanted the basement to be done. Daryl was almost booked solid with other jobs, and he went out of his way to fit us in and get 95% of it done when we were gone. The work done was exactly what we hoped for, and the quality of his work shows itself. The room looks like a solid piece of drywall, the priming/texturing is perfectly uniform, and Daryl's crew did a fantastic job cleaning up. Our kitchen had a very fine layer of dust in it, but with how much of a mess drywalling and painting is, this was an incredible feat in and of itself. 10 minutes of moping and wiping a few things down and the house was back to normal. It was also lovely to come home and not have to deal with piles of debris and junk from the drywall/painting process. I couldn't recommend Dixon Drywall & Construction enough and will absolutely hire them in a second should I need additional work done.

The crew arrived as planned on time and completed the first days work efficiently. I had a deadline to meet and even though they were shorthanded, they completed the entire job within a week as promised. The work was superior and we were very pleased. They did everything to keep the dust out of the rest of the house. They did a wonderful job of removing their materials and cleaning the room prior to their departure.

Daryl, the owner, was excellent in communicating the schedule and process. It's obvious he takes his business seriously. Even though the work that was done in the bedrooms was extensive, the workers were very clean and thoughtful! I was worried that once they started sanding, scraping, and spraying, the mess would be terrible in the rest of the house. It was impressive how they kept the mess contained and covered up! The end result looks amazing! We plan on using them to finish our garage in the future. Could not be happier with their work and professionalism.

It was a pleasure working with Dixon Drywall & Texture Inc. Daryl Dixon came out and provided an estimate on the cost for the drywall work that was better than the other competitors I contacted. He was helpful in scoping out the nature of the work to be done, and described in detail the process for the drywall install, as well as the amount of time it would take. Daryl was flexible in scheduling the work to meet my time frame. On the appointed day, his team arrived on time. The entire Dixon Drywall crew were courteous and professional. They took care to mask the area where the work was to be done, as well as the hallway from the front door to the basement. The Dixon Drywall & Texture Inc. team kept me apprised each day of what work was going to be done that day, and walked me through a visual inspection of what had been completed. The quality of the drywall work and mudding of drywall seams is excellent. Over 20 holes were cut in the drywall ceiling to accommodate recessed lighting. The cuts are all tight and look great. The drywall work around the basement duct work and support beam also looks great. The texture paint applied to the ceiling matches the existing texture on the walls beautifully.The drywall ceiling installed by Dixon Drywall has transformed the dated drop ceiling look of the basement room into a contemporary recreational space.

We had four estimates for the work to be done, and Darryl's estimate was the lowest and was the company that recommended the most conservative repairs. Other companies wanted to take out much larger areas of drywall adjacent to where the water damage was because they told us that the damage was likely very extensive, and to repair smaller areas in the center of a large expanse of drywall would show an obvious line of demarcation between the repair and the old drywall and popcorn ceiling. When Darryl came to do an estimate, he told us he would remove the obviously damaged areas and then at that point, he would determine where the water a caused damage to the ceiling and insulation. Then, after evaluating the extent of the damage, he would finalize a decision about how much drywall and insulation actually needed to be removed. He seemed very knowledgeable and cost conscious. The work actually ended up costing a little less than our insurance company allotted for the project. We were very impressed with how professional the crew was. They were exactly on time every time, and were meticulous in taping and blocking off the work area from the rest of the house. They cleaned up each evening when work was finished. We have heard that having dry wall work in the house would be a dusty mess everywhere, but we had very little dust since they made little "plastic rooms" for themselves to work. We have a popcorn texture on all of the ceiling areas that they repaired. We were told by Darryl that it was very difficult to match it exactly and that they would do the best they could. Well, they did an amazing job! The match of drywall and texture was much better than we expected. It's really difficult to tell where they repaired the drywall and the popcorn finish matches very well, almost exactly. We had a neighbor in to look at the repairs and she could not tell where any of the repairs began or ended. These guys are artists! We hope we never have another water leak, but if we do, Darryl and his crew will be the first ones we call.

They were quite prompt in giving the bid. They did it very nicely and broke it down well. The owner who did the estimate was very professional and very personable. The work that they did was flawless. They cleaned up and again I never knew they were there. They did a really nice job. They were really expensive.

It went well. The price was good. There are areas that we noticed afterwards that aren't perfect, but they can be overlooked (small blemishes here and there). Daryl was very accommodating and professional.

I was disappointed with my experience with this provider. I felt the communication was poor. Emails were not returned promptly and there was much phone tag. I felt unclear as to the timeline of the project, when I needed to be home for the contractors to arrive, and the actual scope of work that was being done. Even when getting my initial quote, when I emailed questions back regarding the work, there was never any response. If I were to do it again, I would not use this contractor. Although I do value quality work, I also value (just as much) clear communication.

After a couple of tries getting a contract in hand (they are busy), the job went quickly and smoothly. The crew was pleasant and professional on all 3 visits. They took plenty of precautions to minimize the mess and cleaned up nicely. The quality of the work was excellent. The space blends in perfectly, which was our goal. Would definitely hire them again!

The entire job was completed on time. The quote was very fair and described in detail all work that was to be done and each charge for each item of work they completed. Daryl promised that the work area would be cleaned, but it was left spotless. They cleaned every day before they left and made sure that we were completely satisfied with the days work before they left. Daryl and his crew are excellent to work with, very courteous, very mindful of our living space. Daryls quote generously included a military discount and he never asked for a payment until all of the work was done to our complete satisfaction, which of coarse it was done perfectly. I highly recommend them and I will be hiring them again for on going projects.

We hired Daryl and his crew to paint the entire interior of our house (walls and ceilings). It was a big job (2700 square feet) and they did a fantastic job. We first met with Daryl for our estimate. He was prompt, friendly and knowledgeable. He answered my many questions. We decided to hire him because of his knowledge, services, and his price (by far the lower of the 2 estimates we received). I had some additional questions when we booked their services, and Daryl replied back via email with exceptional detail and a lot of information ? exactly what I was looking for. He worked with me to get a zero-VOC paint, which was important to me. The crew arrived on time each day. They were very careful with our furniture and very precise with the paint job. I have looked hard for any mistakes or imperfect areas and have not been able to find anything. The whole house looks terrific. They finished the job within the agreed-upon time window, and even worked a half day on the weekend to get the main painting done a bit earlier when I requested it. Daryl was very appreciative of our business. He was great to work with and I'd recommend him to anyone looking for a painter.

Dixon Drywall & Texture Inc were the best in my area. They're expensive but they did a great job. After the first mudding, I was impressed that they didn't even sand, they kind of have the texture right away, that's how good it was. They customer service is excellent, they're really good guys. One thing I asked for them when they were done is to get a bid in my garage and I never got the bid.

Excellent from the beginning to the end. The initial visit and estimate were done within one week. The bid was considerably lower than two others. The project was completed within two weeks after signing the proposal. The area was carefully masked and taped off with complete cleaning and vacuuming when they were done. The blending in was invisible with the existing drywall. They even did a a subtle swirl texture to match the existing wall

The crew was amazing.They made all of the necessary repairs to the walls and ceiling. They taped and mudded the drywall and applied a coat of texture/primer and a coat of finish paint. They kept everything in the room clean and dust free. They also laid down tarps throughout their path in and out of the house. After the general cleanup was done, they vacuumed the carpets both in the work area and adjacent to the work area.

He was great! He was really prompt in getting back to me with an estimate and the work looks great. My daughter came over and we were playing pool so I asked her about the wall and she couldn't even tell work had been done.

The Dixon guys are really wonderful people and do excellent work. The original drywallers did a terrible job, and Dixon dealt respectfully with all of our questions and extra carefulness before hiring them, in our effort not to hire another bad drywaller to do the repair work. We interviewed 6 different local drywallers, and were convinced after meeting with Daryl Dixon that this was the company to go with. They did not disappoint! I have rarely seen such careful, courteous and considerate folks! I will be sending my friends and family to them in the future. Highly recommended!

Everything went well; they are professional and take great care with covering surfaces, moving appliances, doors, and prepping everything to do their job. I have only praise for their work!

I first contacted Daryl prior to the holidays. At that time, part of the bathroom was gutted, and I had noticed some minor water damage and mold due to a leaky pipe leading to my tub valve. This was my first bathroom re-model job and so I had a lot of questions regarding steps to take prior to his portion of the work being completed. Daryl was very informative regarding helpful steps to take, and I felt confident I knew the steps needed to successfully take care of the problems prior to Daryl coming in to install the drywall. The project posed several difficulties for a drywaller (walls not square, stack extending past studs) and Daryl's crew handled those challenges and the drywall looks great. Daryl contacted me during and after the work was completed to see if I had any questions or concerns with the work, and made sure I knew exactly how to proceed next. Daryl even took measurements for me of plumbing lines behind the drywall (knowing I'd need these measurements for installing TP dispensers, etc) which was something I didn't anticipate being my first time. He left the house in better, cleaner condition then when his work began. I'd recommend Daryl to anyone, you'll have an excellent experience.

The very personable and efficient manager came and gave a very fair estimate. It was for a large and long crack in the bedroom ceiling where water long ago had been leaking through the roof and into the bedroom. Crumbs had been falling down onto the bed. Soon after, two workers and the managers arrived. I needed to be leave, so all I know is that when I returned, the furniture had been moved back into place, everything was very clean and the crack was fixed and painted. This company is prompt, polite and skilled.
