I have a three year affiliation with Big Fish Contracting for all snow removal requirements at my home after plowing my driveway myself for years. In the three winters Big Fish has been monitored my home continuously and kept my driveway snow and ice-free. Everything went as planned in the contract. They were very efficient, cleared away all trash and it only took a little over two days to complete. Workers were polite. I was very happy with everything. They did my neighbor's roof and it too looks great. Was really impressed with Eric because he knew his colors and helped me choose what looked best on my house.

The work was precise and accurate. The men were able to match the new work to the details of a well-built 75 year old house. They asked my opinion when there were choices and carefully fulfilled my wishes. The workers were polite and pleasant to have in my house for several days. The installation required them to enlarge the openings for the windows. When the windows were in, they clad the trim in aluminum and made it match the rest of the house exactly. They took the time to make the upgrades disappear into the look of the whole house. Friends and neighbors have praised the work inside and out.

It did not go well. 18 yards of dirt were brought to do the job and the two people sent to do it were not aware of what was supposed to all happen. They plowed away our existing topsoil, but not deep enough to remove the weeds. The machines used made ruts in the lawn from the driveway to the work area. The existing weeds were still evident when the soil was dumped on top of it and the grass seed and hay over that. We faithfully watered the newly seeded area. The weeds and plants grew through the little bit of soil that was put down. We now had the same weeds and mess that we had started with. After a few weeks the yard still did not have much grass growing and the ruts made by the machines had apparently not been seeded. I called Erik, the owner of the company, and he came to check out the work that was not done. He admitted it was a mess, had fired the landscape supervisor, and promised to send out a worker to make it right. I had a lot of faith in him from the beginning of the job because he seemed to be all about honesty and customer service. I was wrong! He sent out more soil and a man who did not speak English well, was incompetent and lazy. He was at our home for 1 1/2 days and mostly stood around daydreaming. We went out to remind him of what he was supposed to be doing. He agreed with all of it and did none of it. I had been in touch with the owner all summer through email. He stated that he wasn't surprised that his worker did not get the job done and would send him back. I requested he send someone competent and not the same guy again. Nobody showed up and emails have ceased. I requested a portion of our money be refunded so we could hire another landscaper to do the job right but that idea was refused. We took pictures all through this process. Right now if you look at the yard, the same footprint of what was there before the "work" was done is about the same. We now have a weed bed, not much grass and ruts in the yard. I trusted that the owner was sincere about his work ethic. My mistake was trusting him in the first place and we wasted a lot of money to get a very shabby result. We will never use his services again and cannot recommend him to anyone.

Their pricing was very reasonable. They were efficient, timely, polite and did the work.

They came out and worked on my roof. But it was still leaking a few months later. I had to have someone else fix the leak.

(They were installed within 6 years from Window Worlds) He explained in detail how his company would like to proceed. Starting at the fascia, he observed the gutters although also approx. 9 years they were coming away from their attachments. Of course , I did not see the problem. After leaving me with samples of building materials and colors and a great amount of possibilities. He had invested his time and talent in this first exchange. Maybe an hour later, his designer came to observe the house. He too spent a great amount of time with me offering more suggestions. He took pictures and told me to access HOUZZ website to explore options for a specific home style (in my case bi-level) . If I were to decide to go with their company, they would be able to access my account at HOUZZ and together we could create a freshly updated 1970's house. For a $500.00 commitment when I would decide to go with them He would do scale drawings on the computer and we could make a combined decision what to do. I was totally impressed with their first interaction. They then came the next week and with both men, they had gotten together a rough estimate for me. These guys were taking my home down to the studs and upgrading everything. It would improve air by my windows, tyfax my entire house ..everything that was not available in the 70's. With this information I am better prepared to ask the right questions of any contractor I may ask for an estimate.I am very impressed with their casual yet professional demeanor. I did not feel pressured at any time. This company seems want to do the best job for the customer.

They were very nice, but we did not use them. The quoted price was about $32,000. I did not use them because their price was a little high. I can't say anything bad about them. They were thorough and came when they were supposed to. There was nothing negative; it is just that we went with a middle-of-the-road-priced contractor.

, The work and cleanup went great. While he was prompt quoting us the price, it did take awhile to get the job on his schedule. I think because he does exceptional work at a reasonable price explains why it took awhile to get on his schedule.

He did end up coming out instead of his foreman. He looked at the situation and told me what needs to get done again. When he was done with it last year, he said that what he did would fix the problem. It took a little while for the problem to begin again, but it did. So when he came out, he said he would put me on the list to get the work done but would not charge us. I understand that there has been a lot of rain this year and I know that some of his business would be put back beacuse of the rain. Well we were customers from last year and you want to make some money, but he should be taking care of his customers that he had already done work for with problems.

After several estimates and reading through the reviews on Angie's List we went with Big Fish Contracting. A little miscommuncation on the start date as I would have liked to have been home while work was done, but kept in touch via telephone when a small issue with the "pitch" on the gutters in the back came up. All work out well. Things were finished and nicely cleaned up by the time I got home. Gutters/downspouts looked super, in fact they were actually tested out very soon with a huge downpour and they passed with flying colors! One issue as of this review - I didn't notice until the next day that they had somehow missed installing the leaf guards. I called Chad right away and he assured me they would be out here this week ASAP! Leafguards were installed yesterday 7/10/13. Again, wasn't quite sure when they were coming to finish so I was at work, but installers kept area clean and the leaf guards look great. Yes, I would recommend this company, however communicating and working a schedule out for work to be done does need to be improved upon.

Erik was very prompt and a pleasure to work with. He is very knowledgeable and easy to talk to. Although we have not made a decision yet on what we want to do, we were very impressed with his service.

They were fine. They were pretty prompt in getting us a quote and scheduling it. They were also very good about getting it done on time.

Called for an inspection. Came home at time given and he was very punctual. Told me the service included in the "big deal" and proceeded to inspect the roof. Then showed me the area in the gutter that was a flow problem. Showed me that the wear on the roof requires replacement. I knew the latter part but I just needed to get through another winter. Price for the new roof was on par with others although I can trust them due to the quality repair work I had seen.

They were very fast but my roof still leaks; they did not fix it. I feel like they overcharged for this service. They sent a few workmen up on my roof with some tar to fix what they thought was the leak; but it was not. When I called them originally I was told that I had another 4 or 5 years left on my roof; but when I called to tell them my roof still leaked after they were here to fix it they told me I might need a new roof; I was confused by that answer.
