have used Mike for a variety of outdoor projects from lawn mowing to designing & building a patio. No real problems- bit of misunderstanding when we started but really value his work.

He was very timely coming out to give a quote, did not leave me in the lurch the way the prior landscaper did (as I had a back yard graduation party planned for that month), kept the budget as low as possible selling me at cut rate pavers he had taken out of his own yard when he redesigned, got it done on time despite weather issues, and was just all around terrific to deal with! I would not hesitate to use him again. He was professional, fast, cleaned up the mess, suggested what was the best value and least upkeep for me (seeding over sodding), and I would recommend him highly! He called me the end of the summer to suggest an inexpensive treatment to prepare the lawn for winter. The area that we had the work done had not previously been graded or landscaped so it was very overgrown with vegetation and even contained old concrete debris which must have been somebodies idea of "fill". Additionally they upgraded some other areas of the property that we weren't happy with, including re-planting an existing tree that they noticed wasn't planted properly to prevent it from eventually dying. Overall we were happy with the quality of their work as we could tell that they wanted to do it correctly. Marked down a little for punctuality because it took awhile to get the work started from when we thought it would, but I'm sure they'd point to the weather as a factor which they obviously couldn't control. This wasn't a big issue with us or cause any disagreement because we didn't push too hard for a completion date as we felt planting later in the year would work better due to less heat and subsequent watering required. Once the work was started it went pretty smoothly and schedule wasn't an issue.

It was pretty late in the season but I was still accomodated before winter set in.I needed this done before the snow started to fly as my yard became an ice rink last year.(it was all clay with nowhere to drain) Mike has the whole project done for me in one day.

I have had these folks doing my yard for a couple years now. They are awesome. They arrive as needed always at the perfect time to cut the grass. They take their time and go the extra mile to make it look great.They always blow off the driveway and edge around the trees etc. The lawn looks great and I never have to worry about it. I am completely satisfied with their services. I feel that their prices are very competitive and fair. Some of the other companies that I called for a quote were about double what they are charging!

He responded before the other two people I requested quotes from and had a business card. I explained what I wanted and he gave me the quote on the spot. That was two months ago and he has been doing our lawn since. It always looks nice and I never have to call to make sure it is going to get done.

We contacted Mike back in mid April and asked for a quote on some spring clean-up work and regular yard maintenance: clean up fallen leaves from beds and lawn, re-mulch beds around the house, remove dead branches and firewood, trim back perennial shrubs, re-grade on one side of the house, fertilize the lawn, and cut the lawn weekly. Mike came out a couple days later, and we walked around the property and discussed what we wanted to accomplish. Due to a mailing address mix-up, it took about two weeks to get the price quote - no big deal. The quote was about what we expected. We spoke via phone to confirm the work, and I sent a deposit in early May to get on his schedule. I followed up with Mike via phone about a date to perform the work; he was going to get some of the cleanup done right away, but the rest would have to wait until he had a larger crew in June (once school finished). - Mike did put down the first fertilizer and start mowing the yard by May 15th, and his crew showed up regularly to mow throughout the summer. By and large, they did a good job with mowing and clipping cleanup. The leaf removal was also completed in May without issue. Unfortunately, the rest of the spring clean-up work was a huge headache. About 2/3 of the mulch was laid around June 7th - 10th. The crew told me they'd need to get more mulch and would be back within a week. After two weeks passed, I contacted Mike and asked about the status; he said he'd get it done but that other people's graduation parties were taking priority at the time. The rest of the mulch was delivered and spread sometime in late June. I contacted Mike again in early July asking about when the rest of the work would be completed. About a week later, his crew showed up and removed the branches/firewood and trimmed some of the bushes and applied lawn fertilizer a second time. After they left, I found that they missed trimming about 1/3 of the front bushes - they were much taller and still had a lot of dead brush on them. I was growing frustrated and finished this myself, rather than trusting Mike's crew to come back any time soon. I reached out to Mike yet again in late July and early August regarding re-grading, the last item he'd quoted me for but not performed. I also asked him to get me a count for how many times they'd mowed so far, as I'd not received invoices for any of the work done over the previous three months. Mike promised to come out and finish the work up a week later - around August 9th - and also to get me this information about mowing. That day came and went without any appearance or call. I left Mike a message the following week wishing to discuss the situation, cancel the remaining work, and square up. I never got a call back; instead Mike showed up at our house unannounced on Saturday August 17th and started the re-grading. Once I saw him outside, I asked him to stop and to leave, which he did. I left Mike a message later that day indicating we were done with all services. I received a final invoice a week later with an apology and an offer of some free work to compensate for the delays. I've declined this offer. While most of the work was eventually completed, it took months to finish what should have been at most 3-5 days of effort in May or June. I'm not sure if it was entirely due to Mike getting more important jobs or not, but once things started slipping, it felt like Mike had forgotten about us, and our yard looked half-wild for the majority of the summer as a result. In the future, I'll either be doing the spring cleanup myself (in the spring...) or hiring a more reliable landscaping company.

They showed up the day after I got the quote. The did a perfect job. This lawn has never looked so good!

He was very hard to get a hold of - he didn't return my calls in a timely fashion. He wanted a down payment - I told him I would send him a payment just before he started - he never returned my call about that. I did not trust him.

Mike did a great job. He was responsive, helpful with suggestions and competitively priced. He also helped with suggestions about several issues for which we were on the fence (no pun intended). We have another project this year and will be giving him a call.

Mike's price was by far the best price out of a half dozen quotes we got for the initial work. Mike and his crew tore out the railroad ties and methodically added compacted sand below the pavers to prevent sinking. Pavers were added and terraced as needed and glued together and then capped. We are very happy with it and it looks fantastic. Work was actually done in two phases since we initally just had rotting railroad ties that we wanted replaced around our raised landscape bedding but after seeing the completed work were so happy with the look of the pavers that we hired Mike again to add pavers around the rest of the house. In this phase field stone rocks were removed and the same pavers were added, glued, and capped. Between the first and second phase we were told that the work would be finished by Thanksgiving but actually did not start until after. We were not in a hurry and this isn't a major issue but nonetheless it wasn't started when we thought. Also one of our sprinkler lines was damaged during the work but Mike agreed to have it repaired next spring when the weather is warmer. We were very happy with Mike's work and have whole heartedly recommended him to several of our neighbors.

Mike worked with us to select the right color and type of stone. He also worked with us with and a planting designer he used to make the retaining wall to work with the type of trees and bushes we wanted. He and his crew started promptly on the agreed start date. The weather was very hot but they stuck with doing the job over a few rough weeks. He did not use any powered moving equipment so the grass did not get ruined during the project. They methodically removed the existing lannon stone and bushes while working around the existing flower garden. They also had to work around underground power lines without any power equipment. The final wall looked good and worked out the way we had expected. We enjoyed working with Mike's work ethic and personality. After the weather cooled, he brought in top soil, planted new bushes and flowers, and added mulch. He also came back on his own in the winter to put burlap on the evergreen bushes to prevent them from drying out from the sun.

Before he starts the work, Mike comes out to the house, walks through the proposed project with me and provides suggestions along the way. He provides a written proposal for the project for review. He starts the work pretty close to the projected start date (weather permitting). The work is done very well and they clean up well too. Mike is genuinely interested in providing good services and good results.

I had requested estimates for a fall cleanup at my new home just before the winter as well as mowing and aeration. Mike was very courteous on the phone and one of the promptest with the estimate. Once we agreed and I had engaged him, his crew came out on the appointed date, and did an awesome job. They were very professional, thorough and very polite and answered questions my wife had while they were working. A few days later, I got my invoice in the mail and it was exactly as per the estimate, very reasonable and awesome all round, This is what such an experience should be. I would gladly hire again and actally will come spring since I need some advice and help with landscaping plans for next year. Thanks!

As always work went well. Customer service is very important to Mike. He and his staff are always friendly, helpful & professional.

Mike and his crew are very professional. Only mow when needed. Do an outstanding job and blow all clippings when done. We definitely want them back next year!

On time, reasonably priced, sometimes had helper sometimes worked alone, reliable, pleasant to work with, had to urge him to get started, but finished promptly after he started.

Waited for initial visit and contract proposal. Mike was low bidder of 3 contractors. Waited to get start date. Once work started, it was completed on schedule. Work area was alwasy cleaned at the end of the day. We are very satisfied with the outcome.

Mike was awesome! Fantastic! We did 2 walkthroughs and he was wonderful and had it all down/. He's a real gentleman as well and truly knows plants. He is wonderful on price and he truly is someone that you can really depend on. He is really a terrific guy no doubt about that.

He did what he said he would do. He was very polite, cleaned up after himself and he was very good. I would recommend them to anyone.

They did a nice job so far. I would have to wait and see over the winter how things go with the drain tile replacement because they had to cold patch with asphalt. They have been really busy this fall but they managed to fit us in so that was really good. I would use Mike Meyer Landscape Construction LLC Company in the future.

Mike's estimate was significantly lower than others. He kept me advised of any changes in his work schedule, and was always professional and a pleasure to work with.
