JJ's Plumbing Repair

I had utilized their services before I became a part of Angie's List. I had done some background research. And after becoming part of Angie's List I did some additional research, of course on Angie's List and found that in general the feedback had mirrored the research I had done myself before I hired them. I have hired them 3 or 4 times to do work on the house. The interaction with them is very positive. They had been described to me as a company that is very conversant with old buildings. And I live in a small city where most of the houses here were built over a hundred years ago. The types of these buildings are brittle and almost a little goofy with today's plumbing standards. Many plumbers don't even want to deal with them. JJ's plumbing knows how to deal with them and fix them while including modern updates and safety advances, they manage to make the final product fit in the old traditional building so nothing looks out of place. They seem to understand what the old painted ladies are supposed to look like and they just update them and they come a little safer and a little closer to the best technology available without making them look inappropriate.

They are very responsive and do a great job. When I called they said they only had a 1 - 3 pm slot, and I said I would then need to take the entire day off of work, they managed to squeeze me in in the morning. Arrived when they said, worked efficiently and adjusted my pressure valve which was not part of the original service call. I have used them before with the same experience. I have had a lower price for similar work which is why I rated them a 'B' on cost, but highly recommend them.

I was very pleased with the work provided. they were professional, efficient and arrived at the scheduled time. I would definitely use them again.

Great service - arrived on time, gave me several options for the repair and did the work quickly. solved the problem and gave me estimates for 3 or 4 more projects that need doing. I will use this plumber again.

I needed a gas dryer hooked up but due to work I needed the appointment to be as late in the day as possible. Melissa in the office was extremely helpful in trying to accommodate this. The day of the appointment there was a mix up regarding my address because I had recently moved, with the plumber going to my former address. Even though it was late in the day at this point, he came and completed the installation. The gas pipe had been previously split and was not to code, so Mike had to do a little more work than anticipated. Very happy with JJs.

Our experience with them was very good. They were very prompt and they clean up well. They are very professional and nice men. They are local. I thought their prices were reasonable.

Arrived on time and replaced the gas hot water heater with an A. O. Smith gas hot water heater. Main shut off water valve for the house and the shut off water valve at the gas hot water heater were also replaced.

Plumber arrived on time and quickly completed all the work.

I have used several plumbers in the past, but was not overly thrilled with any of them. Then, a friend at work recommended JJ's. So, I gave them a try. Since this time, I only used JJ's as my family's plumber. With the latest case in using JJ's, our garbage disposal stopped working. And, would you know it - the darn thing stopped working just hours before the start of our kid's birthday party! - an incredibly inopportune time as you could imagine. With no other options, I called JJ's. Surprisingly enough, they were able to get a plumber out to our house within the hour. He diagnosed the problem, and got the disposal working again in less than 10 minutes! Found that the disposal was jammed, and that the unit needed to be reset. Additionally, the plumber showed us how to remedy the problem next time we have a jam issue. JJ's saved the day! And, our kid's birthday party was a big hit!

We have limited space to work in when putting in a hot water heater and water softner. They did a very thorough and good job and didn't make an issue of space, etc. Didn't mind me looking over his shoulder and asking questions, and I always ask a lot. We have in the past and continue to receive good service and rates are competitive.

I continually use their services. They respond quickly and are very prompt. I trust them completely. Their repairs have been excellent. I highy recommend them. Their prices are reasonable! Donna and Melissa really work with you when you call in. They do their best to accommodate your needs, even in emergency situations.

They do excellent work. I like to use family businesses; these guys are reasonable and will bend over backwards for you. I will use them again in the future.

Pretty good. The mechanic was on time and quickly diagnosed the problem. He was there less than an hour but still had to charge me for one full hour (pretty standard). Toilet hasn't leaked since.

I like the professionalism, you can get an appointment right away and their prices are competitive.

All went well. The service man was knowledgeable and respectful. He did the job well and solved the problem. Couldn't ask for more.

Great! I've had them since 1975. Very timely, and also very accomodating.

I had obvious problems in a bathroom where flushing the toilet caused gurgling in the adjacent sink and bathtub. JJ's was very diligent in searching for and resolving the issue which actually took longer than they had anticipated. However, I was not charged for the entire period of service as they felt they should have resolved it quicker.

They were very responsive and did an excellent job.

Called in the morning and was able to schedule appointment for between 12 - 2 on the same day. Arrived at noon. Worked very fast and efficiently. Cleaned up everything. Excellent work.

JJ's plumbers arrived within the time frame given from the office. They were professional, friendly and courteous. A great experience. I trust their workmanship.

Called JJ's Plumbing to investigate water dripping from PVC pipe in basement. Plumber arrived on time, even though weather was snowy and unpredictable. Diagnosed problem quickly and did a very thorough job fixing. Refused to bill us at the time of visit since he wanted to wait a week and make sure the problem was solved! Very impressive. Invoice was not mailed until after we called to let them know that the problem was indeed fixed. Highly recommend for honesty and quality of work.

They supplied the water heater and replaced my old one. They came over very quickly and right on schedule. They did the job very promptly, I paid the bill and they left. They carried the old heater away and didn't leave any mess. I didn't check around, but I thought the price was a little on the high side. I would hire them again if needed.

I called them based on a recommendation from a family member. I was able to schedule the work for the next day and Brian came out promptly. He checked to see if the old water heater could be repaired, and when he determined that it couldn't be, he installed the new one. He finished in a reasonable amount of time, cleaned up, and overall did a great job. I have subsequently had him back to install a new water softener and fixtures in my newly renovated bathroom. Each time has been a very good experience. The work is done well and promptly, and he leaves the area cleaned up and neat. Charges are reasonable.

Did an excellent job in all respects. All communications were great. Came out promptly to provide an estimate, work was scheduled promptly, servicemen arrived on time and most importantly work was done very well. Very pleased with service and would recommend them highly. Pricing seemed fair for the work performed.
