Pratt's Professional Chimney Service

Both office staff and installers were prompt and professional. I was lucky enough to get the site manager at my house call, and he took the time to explain a problem I was having with my water heater venting and to suggest a fix (a chimney liner). We also talked about replacing the heater with an on-demand system (note that this goes well beyond what he was there for!) and how that would be vented differently. Initially I signed up to go ahead with the liner, but the water heater failed the next week and I decided to switch to the tankless. Pratt was understanding and allowed me to cancel the liner, which I no longer needed. I am very grateful for their advice, professionalism, and flexibility: they are truly a customer-first organization.

It was fine, I would use them again. It was about a month ago. You can give them an “A” on everything. I was asking some additional questions about the chimney and he was helping me out on that. He was very helpful. Just trying to remember here. He just seemed to know what he was doing, he was very knowledgeable, he’s a younger technician. They’re also extremely prompt, they were here right when they said. No surprises. I would say probably their punctual and their knowledge was their best.

I used them about a year ago when we were purchasing the home. I can’t remember what the cost was, but it was not that much money. You can give them all “A’s” again. It was a very, very quick visit though, just did it in 5 or 10 minutes.

Very well. They were prompt, professional, went up on the roof and inspected the chimney. They gave us detailed recommendations on repair. No matter what they assured us if ithere was a safety concern they would do the repair ASAP. In the end we had the chimney liner and cap installed now. The masonry replacement for the chimney has to be done in spring.

I am grateful to have had this work done. When I had Focus on Energy out to check the house the man questioned a possible carbon monoxide leak from the hot water heater. He wasn't sure but he wanted me to know about it. Thank goodness Pratt's took more than a passing interest. They did a beautiful job of venting the hot water heater correctly.

Arrived timely, professional (even though it was a cold wintry day). Inspection recommended much work to be done so they did not do the cleaning as they said fireplace was unsafe to use as is. Asked them to send estimates for work needed to repair damage and a second estimate for replacing w/new firebox. I received estimate for repair w/i a day; the one for new firebox referred me to websites so I was unable to compare costs. I ended up going to a local "showroom" to visualize options and their costs seemed to be lower than those verbally quoted through this company. Time will tell, haven't made any decisions yet.

We appreciated the way the company handled our chimney cleaning. There was an issue which needed to be discussed and they handled it well so we all could avoid misunderstandings, unnecessary expenses, and future problems. Very professional approach focused on retaining customers. Highly recommend them.

I set up an appointment, they were there approx 5 minutes early (didn't have to wait). It was the son of the owner who evaluated our chimney (had not been cleaned in the 6 years we lived in this house). He said that our chimney didn't need cleaning after evaluating the inside and outside of the chimney and then stayed another 20 minutes to explain a couple of issues that we had been having over the past 1-2 years. Because of these problems we had not been using the fireplace as much. He felt with his recommendations that we should be able to use it regularly and then recommended calling back to have it cleaned in the Spring after using it all winter. He did all of this without charging us for the trip or his time. Not often that you get someone to spend that kind of time and then, recommend not doing a service and then not charging a trip/service fee. Was very impressed. Would definitely use again and have already recommended them to others to use.

It was very good. They contacted me very soon after I got the deal on the site and we have the date and they came and did their thing and did the job really good. They also provided me when they were there a quote for other services which I thought was nice if we get some problem. I thought that was very responsible of them.

Upon arrival, the stove and chimney were inspected and some questions were provided to fully assess the work needed. Then the cleaning and inspection began immediately. The technician was very professional and completed the work very efficiently. Once completed, he shared with me things that will need to be cared for in the future along with the things to watch for.

It went fine. I really haven't tried out my chimney yet so I dont know how to grade the quality. Responsiveness: They were good. Professionalism: They were very nice. They were respectful and cleaned up the messes they made.

A two man team showed up on time and It was clear that the supervising technician knew his business. They were fast but took enough time to be thorough and clean, no mess.
