Pratt's Professional Chimney Service came out to inspect and clean our chimney. I purchased a deal for this and was very pleased with the service. They performed a thorough cleaning and made recommendations for future maintenance work, providing estimates. We were very happy with the technician who arrived - he was very friendly and knowledgeable. We plan to follow up with some maintenance work with Pratt's.

Update: The owner came out and inspected the chimney to ensure my quality concerns were addressed. He found some major issues that were overlooked by the technician previously. The owner was very apologetic and has gone out of his way to try and make it right. Showed up on time. I had a contractor let the service technician in to start working. Bye the time I got home (20 minutes later) he was gone. Handwritten note was hard to read. Said I should spend $450 on a top close damper (very true). Installed the damper myself and noticed the chimney didn't look cleaned at all. Because of this experience I'm canceling Angie's list. I can find better service companies on my own.

Our technician came out and took a measurement and gave us a reasonable quote. After we called them to give them our business the company was quick to respond and came out to install the chase top in a reasonable amount of time. They provided excellent customer service and we would recommend them as well as use them again.

I had about a dozen contractors come out and look at my chimney. The solutions they offered were all over the board. Steve Pratt was the most practical and honest guy I talked to. His follow through was excellent. He showed up when he said he would show up, he called when he said he would call and he took the time to explain what he was going to do and why he was going to do it so that it would be a long term solution. I felt like some of the other contractors I talked to tried to pressure me into repairs by trying to scare me with worse case scenario assessments. Pratt Chimney was really easy to work with and they were flexible with me in terms of setting up the job and working with my schedule. Pratt Chimney did an excellent job on my chimney. They came out with an entire crew and solved my problem. They were professional and courteous. I was impressed with the set up and also how they cleaned up and took care of everything. The warranties and workmanship reinforced to me that I made the right decision to go with Pratt.

This was a great company to work with and they did a very thorough job. They gave me suggestions on what to do in future years in my new home and some fixes we could make. The owner was an honest and very nice man. I will definitely use them again.

Pratt's was amazing every step of this process. From Dave doing the initial estimate and talking through the options and being very frank about the best option for us to Dave and his other crew member doing the demolition and new construction. It was a day long process and they cleaned up the area very well from their work. We couldn't be happier - we even referred them to a coworker for their chimney!

This is a follow up to a review I did for Pratt's on 7/22. Angie of Pratt's called me July 27th to discuss my critical review. After talking with her, I changed my mind on what I wrote earlier. I felt that they had fabricated a story about my having a chimney fire in order to get more work from me. I now do not believe that was the case. They did a good job of cleaning my chimney & the estimate for work needed was very competitive.

I bought the inspection and sweep as one of the "Deals" on Angie's List. Within 24 hours of buying the deal Pratt's contacted me, via email, to setup a date/time to perform the work. A gentleman arrived during the 2 hour appointment window and was courteous and professional. He quickly went to work cleaning the chimney. After about 30 minutes he said the work had been done, that the chimney was pretty dirty (hadn't had it cleaned in the almost 4 years we have owned the house) and that he recommended a cleaning every 2 years. If you are thinking of having your chimney cleaned, I highly recommend Pratt's and the Angie's list deal. Very happy.

Dave arrived within the scheduled time block. He introduced himself in an open, friendly and outgoing way as we shook hands. He explained what the process would be and immediately set to work. The chimney was cleaned from the top of the roof down. Drop cloths were placed inside to prevent any soiling. The chimney box inside was also vacuumed and cleaned. The chimney was found to be in good condition with no problems. Cleanup was done well. The service was friendly, professional and efficient. I will definitely use Pratt's again for my chimney service needs.
