Description of Work: I expected more of an inspection of the operation of the unit.Service man was courteous and did a very good job. Again, I was expecting more but I guess that was my fault for not asking.

Description of Work: They installed a stainless liner in our flue, and cleaned the stove and pipes. The stove works perfectly now and I am very happy with the service they performed. The crew was very careful with protecting our home from dirt and damage, and were thorough in cleanup and respectful of our family space. We will be using them again in the future.

Description of Work: Knowing nothing about chimney services, I called Pratt's because of their rating in Angie's List. I expected to have my chimney cleaned. After initial inspection, I learned my clay flue tiles had shifted, leaving me at risk for chimney fire. Also learned the chimney would not pass inspection if I sell the house down the road. A neighbor who used to be in the business, looked at the estimate and advised the cost was excellent for the work involved. On the day of service, the owner was not happy with the fit of the liner he'd brought -- he drove about 120 miles round trip to get what he felt was necessary to do the job right. Job was still finished the same day. Kudos to Pratt's for truly caring about the service they provide!

Description of Work: The technician, Kyle, arrived promptly. He was friendly, but professional. He cleaned our chimney, inside & outside. He was very careful and kept everything clean. He also inspected our fireplace and found numerous cracks in the panels that line the fireplce. Kyle explained the dangers of having cracks in the panels due to their purpose being to contain the heat within the fireplace. Otherwise the heat can get into the walls of the house and start a fire. Kyle provided me with an estimate for replacing the panels. I scheduled an appointment for them to return in a couple weeks to replace the panels that are cracked. |When I called to make the appointment, it was a few weeks until they had an opening. I received a call a week later to inform me that they had an earlier appointment available, which we took. The woman on the phone was very nice and helpful.
