Very happy with results. The workers are a three man team including the owner, so get your estimates done a few months ahead of time. Office manager is very responsive. Listened to what we wanted, results were exactly what we wanted.

It was amazing! John and Jaclyn were very professional and wonderful to work with. They stayed in our budget and gave us an amazing and beautiful new composite deck. We can't believe the difference. They went out of their way to make sure everything was perfect. We highly recommend them for all deck projects.

We needed to have an existing wooden deck replaced. The old one was starting to collapse. We replaced the deck with a PVC deck. The supports and footings also needed to be replaced. John was very responsive. He came out and looked at the deck, and came back and braced the old deck until the job could be done. It only took about a month to get started. They were done in 3 days, despite rainy weather. The new deck looks very nice, much better than the old one. It seems much sturdier, and of course, will need less maintenance than the old one.

I was so delighted with the work done by Kirch Improvements! After looking at all the truly gorgeous projects they've completed, at first I feared that my request for a simple grade level pressure treated deck -- basically a 'floor' for my yard -- would be too small for them to consider. Everything about the work, from Jaci's prompt and professional communication to John's beautiful work, was top-notch! They wrapped my new 'floor' around my hot tub, and extended my small 10x12 existing platform, adding another 380 square feet. I am extremely pleased with the results. My neighbors, who observed more of the work being done than I did, were equally impressed, and asked for contact information. No fuss, no muss -- everything went off smoothly and on schedule.

John and his crew arrived on time and worked diligently and meticulously. The crew cleaned up and left the yard spotless. Many of my neighbors have stopped and commented on how beautiful the porch looks. I would definitely recommend Kirch Improvements. Honest, reliable and quality workmanship.

From start to finish Kirch Improvements exceeded our expectations on this project. We always knew the schedule of when material was coming, work getting completed and even pick of project scraps after the project was completed. Communication was outstanding! The fact that they run a small crew and only work one project start to finish allows them to have the highest quality labor and deliver the project in a short amount of time. They did run into some weather delays but made up for it with a 12 hour day and working on Saturday (after our approval). John knows the ever changing deck codes and exceeds the code expectations in his deck projects. We already have referred them out to friends and will plan on using them for other projects in the future. Top notch contractor!

Requested proposal for deck railing replacement and DrySpace under deck to catch rain. Site visit began with contractor trying to upsell a new deck, and push another product for DrySpace indicating no experience with the latter, but then indicating it will leak. Terms and conditions were unclear, contradictory, and one-sided. Examples; required 100% of a change order to be paid prior to starting work. Provided no warranty for decking if placed over existing substructure. Unwilling to consider changes to the terms indicating that their lawyer prepared the terms and changing them would change the validity. I chose to discontinue any further dialogue. I am an experienced construction contract manager, and have negotiated numerous contracts. To me Kirch did not have a basic understanding of construction terms, and set up the terms to be one-sided, unfair and onerous. I caution anyone who considers contracting with Kirch to be mindful of the terms.

John and his crew did an excellent job replacing our aging deck and adding a beautiful screen porch adjoining our new Azek deck. Extremely easy to work with, very knowledgable, reasonable pricing, and excellent quality. It took then no time to demolish our old deck, add new framing for the deck and screen porch, and finish the new Azek deck and screen porch. We were very pleased with the results. I would highly recommend Kirch Improvements, LLC!

Excellent. I read the reviews that there were high quality and priced higher than others. I got another quote and they were within a few hundred dollars on a 16K project. If they are higher than others I would say you get what you pay for. Two years later we still love the deck. They got the project done 3 weeks earlier than planned (an opening popped up in their schedule), and construction only took 3 days. They took great care and follow up. I called to ask about cleaning because some stickers weren't completely removed. I was calling so I could just do the job quickly myself but they insisted on coming out to clean it up. Two years later I had a light go out and they drove over to drop off a light, no questions asked. Overall - excellent service, easy to work with, love the product, and most of all love that you can call them back years later and they still respond like they did the job yesterday.

Great. I now have a long lasting table with benches for my patio.

Very well. We expected to have to replace the whole deck but John explained that the structure and the railings were still in good shape and all we needed to replace at this point where the deck boards. They kept us up to date on schedule and arrived on time. They completed work on schedule and cleaned up well. We are very happy with the results.

We are writing to say how pleased we are with the new decks that were Installed by Kirch Improvements LLC recently. We’ve have received a lot of compliments from family and friends besides other homeowners in the area about the job that John just did for us. They needed to remove the old wood decks and replace them with Azek composite material. There was a slight bit of delay due to inclement weather but John’s team came through with flying colors. John helped us design the decks and was very honest & accurate about costs and also on how long the job would take. When he told us 2 days to complete the job, we were sure he was giving us an unachievable time line, however as it turned out, they completed the decks in 2 ½ days, in spite of the weather and boy were we pleased. The team worked like clockwork and they all seemed to be skilled at multiple jobs, be it measuring, cutting, or installing. They were neat and took care to not damage any plants or grass in the area. We recommend Kirch very highly

John is very professional and helpful. The deck was built in less then a week which was very quick for a big project. There were no issues while the deck was being built. Once the deck was built there were issues every month. I had 10 lights installed on the deck by Kirch and one by one they burnt out within the first few months. Next, the tops of the lights kept flying off. John was very responsive to fixing the lights that kept burning out. Recently he changed all the lights to a new model so that the tops of the lights won't fly off the deck. We had a couple windy days and since the change there have been no issues.

Fantastic. John and his crew did a great job. Do not hesitate to use Kirch for a deck. John was prompt and thorough. He answered all of our questions promptly and completely. The job was done on time and for the amount quoted even though he had to do a few extra things to the deck because of hidden damage. I will use John again any time I need anything related to decks.

Too much money for the deck because got other estimate from 2900 to 4200 and his offer was 9000.

Estimate was obtained in May 2016, install was in August 2016 (that is how fast they book out - very busy - good sign). Throughout the entire process John and Jacyln kept us informed. The customer service was above and beyond. The installation took one day and the end result was fantastic!! We are very pleased with Kirch Improvements. We would use them again and again. Thank you!

Great! The quality of work is excellent. John made no shortcuts and the small details make my project perfect. Punctuality was not John's fault. Between an inspector's delay and the heat wave I fully understand his delays. Do not hold these issues against him. John and Jaclyn are really good with communication. I always knew where I stood and never waited for responses. Start to finish this was a great project. I am very satisfied and recommend Kirsch highly.

Our deck was not flashy but being 12-feet off of the ground certainly made it a challenge. John and his crew showed up on the day they said they would and had our 500 sq ft deck up in a week. They dealt directly with the city inspection department and got the required permits. We used Azek decking and the final product turned out great. Every day the crew cleaned up the job site and we are very happy with the final product. John and Jaclyn were very responsive to our questions and needs. Every time we made a phone call or sent an email it was responded to easily within 1-2 hours. John and his crew told me they had gone to school to install our product and based on the final product, it seems they did their homework. The local inspection department was difficult to a certain degree (they changed their minds on an engineering issue after approving the plans a month earlier) but John handled it all very well. He explained the situation gave me recommendations which i OK'd and he made it happen with the city; I did not have to get involved once. The crew was professional and answered questions knowledgeably. I would hire John again for another project.

John and Jaclyn are outstanding. From the initial stages of designing the deck and making (lots of) modifications to the install and returning for some minor fixes - excellent! Great service is rare, Kirch does an amazing job of being responsive and making sure that everything is done to the customer's full satisfaction. Composite decks are expensive, it doesn't matter who you get a quote from. BUT it does matter who is installing the deck, whether or not they are pro, timely and responsive should you need follow up. Kirch checks all of these boxes. Our deck is beautiful, we get a lot of compliments and I have full confidence that we'll enjoy it for years and years to come. Examples - when first reaching out to Kirch, the owners were on vacation. They STILL responded to me via email and then did a short call to get an idea of the project we were considering. We've had two minor follow-ups on the deck - Jaclyn (has always) responded immediately to emails I sent her and John was back at the house ASAP. We went through multiple iterations of deck design and colors. Jaclyn was more than patient with us and provided 3D renderings of all the designs helping us make decisions. John and his crew were on schedule, clean and respectful. The price is what it is. If you are considering an Azek deck, you already know they are pricey vs. alternatives. Just be sure to protect that investment and have it installed by a PRO - Kirch is it!

John was one of the few deck remodelers that returned my call for a proposal/quote in mid-February, as we wanted the new deck to be completed by early summer. He & his wife (Jaclyn) were very helpful in helping us pick out decking & railing colors at their office as Azek had a brand new color catalog for 2016. The darker slate gray decking with redwood picture frame boarder looks really great against our brick house, and the black railing with custom baluster insert looks quite distinctive. (Previous deck was painted a monotone light gray that readily showed the slightest amount of dirt.) Entire project was done in 3 days, from demolition to reconstruction to installation of new materials. Although John's quote included an "additional charge to repair/replace unknown substructure damage" clause, it was not used - substructure was in fairly good shape. Project came in on-time and on-budget.

Job went well. I had had a list of about 5 relatively minor things I wanted taken care of before full payment. John addressed all of the issues. John is very professional and cares about doing a good job. He is a hard worker. John was expensive; highest bid I received, but you get what you pay for.

John was a professional, he worked well with our city building inspectors, updated us daily, built us a quality solid deck, & cleaned up our site when done. The office staff was so friendly and was in frequent contact with us by email. All our questions & concerns were answered immediately. We are so pleased with the quality of our new deck and the entire process! It looks great! John even rehung 3 fence gates around our pool during his downtime. Thanks John & Jaclyn for a job well done! Can't wait for next summer :)!
