From quote to completed project, everything went very smoothly and it was a pleasure doing business with them. In fact this project went so well that we ended up having our entire first floor refinished. Austin and team were professional, courteous and an absolute pleasure to work with. Their craftsmanship is top notch and the floors look amazing. I would without question hire Durable again and recommend them to anyone looking for a quality flooring contractor.

Austin and his crew did a wonderful job refinishing our existing oak floors. He was quick with returning my initial call and was able to come the same day to give us a quote. The guys were 10 minutes early every day and were very professional and detail oriented. Overall experience - excellent!

Austin and his team did an amazing job refinishing our stained and old wood floors. The team showed up on time or early, was very organized and cleaned up after themselves. There was very little if any dust left behind and with a new baby that was very important to us. The job sanding all of the floors right up to all of the base mounding was meticulous and the epoxy finish was totally worth it. Austin's communication throughout the process made us feel at ease and he always thoroughly explained everything so that we would understand. We would highly recommend Austin and his team for any floor refinishing project!

We had recently purchased a house that had floors that were extremely worn in the kitchen. We wanted the floors refinished quickly before we moved in. Although they had a packed schedule they were able to fit us in early. Austin was very knowledgeable and answered all our questions. Most importantly the floors looked great once they were finished.

Very pleasant experience. Bought my house almost 10 years ago and was told by multiple people my 100+ year old wood floors were too far gone to be redone. Ended up getting Pergo installed. Didn't like it. Then had carpet installed. Hated it. Had done a lot of googling over the years and found out most if not all wood floors are saveable.Heard about Durable Wood Flooring on Facebook. Inquired about prices and they were very responsive in answering all my questions.Seen before and after pics and even better, watched a live feed of them doing some work. Looked great so we set up a date to have my floors done. The guys were well mannered and thoroughly explained what was being done. The work is now complete and it looks awesome. Will definitely recommend.

Austin and his team turned an eyesore into a talking point. In addition to refinishing the flooring that was originally covered, they buffed and re-sealed the remaining flooring to make it look like it had been completely refinished as well. Austin was in constant communication and left the place looking great. And it was more affordable then several other competitors.

Durable Wood Floors was great. The finished product is simply beautiful. For starters, I found the Company to be very professional and responsive. When I called the first time, I did not even leave a message, yet I received a prompt return call and a professional voicemail message that they saw they had missed a call and wanted to see if there was anything they could help with! And that level of communication remained during the entire project. The only temporary setback we had was the timing to start. I originally called Durable in somewhat of a panic - we had ripped up our daughter's carpeting with the intention of laying a laminate floor atop....but when we saw the original hardwood floors were in much better condition than we anticipated, we decided to sand and refinish instead. But this left us in a difficult position since our daughter was coming home and her bedroom was currently empty with a dirty old floor! Austin attempted to come to our rescue and thought he could squeeze us in the following week before she came home.... unfortunately, a couple of days before we were supposed to start, he called apologetically that his schedule was simply not going to allow that after all. Ultimately, I'm glad we decided to still wait for Durable (a few weeks later than we were hoping) and did not call anyone else. Floors are beautiful. Gentlemen were courteous, professional, and skilled. Left the area clean with minimal, if any, dust. We also opted for their custom epoxy finish to increase life and minimize maintenance. I even had them quote the rest of our floors before finishing up. Will definitely call them again.

Durable Wood Floors did an amazing job on our flooring project; we couldn't be happier! The floors make the upstairs of our our 1930's home feel like new and are absolutely gorgeous. Before the project, our floors were stained, scratched, and one room had completely unfinished hardwood. We decided to stain and finish them with a deep but warm Antique Brown color which blends nicely with the flooring in the lower level of our home. We have gotten compliments from all of our friends and family who have seen the finished product. Throughout the process, Austin was incredibly responsive, professional, and on time. We would definitely use Durable Wood Floors in the future, and our families are considering it, too. I am so glad we used Austin and his team!

I couldn't be more happy with their work. It did take longer than we expected because a small area in the hallway that had to be redone. It was minor, but Austin came back and redid it and then re-coated the entire floors in all rooms. It looks beautiful and there was no extra charge. Austin and his workers were very accommodating and even helped move the lager pieces of furniture for us.

Product was phenomenal and beyond what I thought was achievable. They took a floor that was in very poor shape and made it beautiful. This is now the focal point of the house!

The entire team from Durable Wood Floors was professional and courteous from beginning to end. We had a speedy response after our first call for a quote and Austin was there within a day or two to provide it. We decided to move forward and don't regret it for a second! They were clean, fast, friendly did an amazing job. Now we have to paint because everything looks soo good! We highly recommend.

TL;DR: Austin and his crew did an amazing job on our floors. Hire him! A month ago, my wife and I decided it was time to take the plunge and tear up the carpet in our 95-year-old house. We knew there was oak floors underneath, but feared they were probably damaged beyond repair. To our surprise, they were in decent shape considering their age and no major damage. Thought it would be an easy task finding a flooring contractor through a combo of Angie's and word of mouth. This was not the case. We ran the gamut from unreturned calls to sketchy estimates. Had one contractor tell us he was going on vacation and to give him a call in a week. Um…sorry, no. Had another that tried to tell us we'd be most happy leaving them unstained/natural even though the rest our house has stained red oak (trim, baseboards and crown molding). I interpreted that as he didn't want to go through the hassle of staining. Cut to Austin from Durable. We set up an appointment with Austin to give us an estimate. He was very friendly and courteous. He explained the whole process and showed us a stain swatch book and pointing out two possibilities he recommended with our existing woodwork. He also told us he might be able to wiggle us in the following week. We slept on it and booked it the next day. Over course of three days, he and his crew worked the butts off. I believe he had a couple of guys that were newer to craft and it put him a little behind schedule. I was mentally preparing to have the job extend another day or two, but was ok with it since the work was looking fantastic. Low and behold, Austin comes in Friday evening to start applying the first epoxy layer and then tells me he would be back in couple of hours to apply the second layer. I was shocked to see somebody busting their butt on a Friday night to get the job done correctly and stay on time. The next morning (Saturday) he was right back at it with another crew member to buff and apply the final top coat. Austin had told us 3 days and possibly a few hours on a 4th day. He nailed it. We now have gorgeous refinished floors! The stain choice was spot on and the surface was smooth enough to do a Tom Cruise slide. I've seen several refinish jobs that looked good, but you could see where the refinisher cut corners (literally) or skipped hard-to-reach places. I came in expecting a look along those lines. What we got were touches like hand-sanding in every difficult section including around the feet of three radiators. Amazing! I'm certain most people will think we had new floors installed. And I'm starting to hate the notion of covering the floors with area rugs, but we have a rambunctious Labrador in the house. I would definitely hire Durable for future projects. And knowing how hard it was to find the "right guy", I won't hesitate to tell family and friends.

Fabulous company. Needed floor refinishers kind of last minute for a house I'd purchased. The original hardwood floors had been covered by carpet and desperately needed to be refinished. I needed the job done in a very short time frame, before I moved in in just a few days. Austin came out that very evening to give an estimate. He was extremely knowledgeable and patient, detailing all my options, associated costs, etc. He even was able to recommend a stain shade that turned out perfectly for what I wanted. The communication was excellent, there were a few hiccups (related to the house itself, not Durable) but I was kept informed and they finished within the deadline I needed. The floors turned out exceptional - just stunning - it's like a whole new house. Very pleased with the company, it's workers, price, and outcome. Would absolutely recommend and hire again.

They gave us a quote quickly and fit us in to their schedule within a week. They showed up when they said they would and performed all the work just as they described. We had one bad spot on a stair and they fixed it immediately. Would hire them again without question.

The floors were well worn, in addition to having an area of severe water damage. Their work was completed in a timely manner with little to no dust or mess. They did an excellent job at a reasonable price and the floor looks like new. Great Job.

I had spent weeks looking for a reputable company that I could trust with doing the work on our floors. We had bought our house a year ago knowing that the floors were in ROUGH shape and needed to be refinished. I had 3 "Big Name" companies come out and quote the floors. I was foolish thinking that because of the big name, it would be better. Talk about a not great experience. With the other companies I worked with, there was no education and I felt like my wife and I were being taken advantaged of. I have been doing woodworking for the past 15 years and have knowledge, but with the other companies, I was constantly being talked down to as if I didn't know anything (despite telling them I have knowledge). On top of that, they were quoting 9 days total and nickel and diming me for everything little thing. After an uneasy (3 actually) experiences, I wanted to check and see what a smaller company could offer me. I filled out a questionnaire online and within 15 minutes, I received a call from Austin! Talk about being prompted and responsive. It was great AND that is how he has been the entire time working with him and his crew. After talking with Austin, I had a good feeling about working with him. His demeanor and professionalism radiated through our call. He was extremely considersate of my crazy work schedule and came in the evening to look at my floors. When he came over and looked over the floors, he delved into his work experience before starting out on his own. He educated me through and through on my floors and gave amazing recommendations and ideas of what can be done with my floor. The entire experience was amazing! I knew after he met that we had found the right company for the job. The crew was always prompt and on time, even 10 minutes early (talk about punctuality)! The crew was amazing to speak with (and they had no issues with my dog). After every day, Austin would call me with updates and let me know the progress. The communication throughout it all was spectacular! He let my wife and I pick out stain options, answered all our questions (at all times of the day/evening), and educated us all though the process. The sanding work he did was top notch along with staining and sealing! Everything was done on time, and has far exceeded our expectations. My wife is ecstatic! We love our newly refinished floors! Excellent experience working with Austin and his crew at DWF. This company was one of three that bid on my project. Austin was very thorough in his estimate and explanation of the requirements of the job. His quote was competitive. He also offered various options to complete the project with varying cost quotes. The crew was timely and cleaned up every day after they ended. DWF went out of their way to complete the project on time. I would recommend them to all. In fact, I gave Austin's contact information to two different associates at work because I was impressed with the company and their work!
