It was a good experience.

The day the carpet was installed, the small specs that were part of the pattern began to come off. Although I am aware that there will be small amounts of material that is "supposed" to come off as part of the manufacturing process, it was clear that the spects were not colored into the yarn but INSERTED into the yarn. What this means is that eventually all the various colors in the carpet would eventually come off, specially in high traffic areas which would show wear in a rather quick period of time. As I went back to the showroom, I noticed that all the other carpets they sold had the coloring fixed into the yarn either by some glue or as part of the yarn as it was weaved. In the one year process that it took me to deal with the company and the manufacturer Mohawk Industries two independent inspectors came into my house, one paid by them, one by me ($250.00 for mine). After many telephone calls and various attempts by them to try to convince me that there was no manufacturing mistakes on their part, the company decided to replace my carpet. What a nightmare!!! As a side note, the inspector that the company sent fell on his knee coming down a single step at the stair landing and tried to sue me. I don't know how it could have happened as he had taken the step going up the stairs and he saw me take it on the way down as I walking in front of him. After my insurance company came to take pictures and arrange an appointment with his lawyer they cancelled the meeting and I have not heard anything since. The sad part was that I asked Mohawk Industries (the largest carpet manufacturer in the US I think) how they can send an uninsured inspector to my house, and they refused to take any responsibility or any part in the resolving of this conflict. They washed their hands as did Drexel. Drexel has now changed ownership after the incident. I don't know how they are doing now.

I had gone into the showroom several times looking at upstairs carpeting and downstairs hardwood flooring and felt relatively ingnored by the sales people, which was annoying. The trade off was the wide variety of products and price ranges. When my husband and I went in to make some final decisions we did get more attention. They did a good job showing us various products and shared some pros and cons. We selected carpeting, Installation was scheduled, occured as scheduled and was comleted timely. We were not totally happy with the installers. Clean up was shabby, some minor nicks and gouges in a wall and we just didn't get a sense the guys cared. We love the carpeting and it was nicer than any we had seen elsewhere so for that we are happy. Service was dissappointing.

We set up an appointment to decide on cabinets and counter tops, and met with a sales person who reviewed different options with us. The product was very attractive and we received a very detailed estimate and a lot of key information about the village in which we live and what was and was not feasible - the price was too high for our needs, but the product was very beautiful.

It took them almost a year to complete our project. It was almost like they did not care about our project. We were shown very few options of tiles. They came out twice with broken tiles and had to reorder.

The installation went excellent. They are courteous and professional. The person that helped me pick out carpet was very helpful and professional.

The experience with Drexel Interiors was very positive. Everyone was very professional. The installer took off his shoes when he entered our house and cleaned up when he was done installing. He allowed us to inspect the window treatments before he left our home. Both Fred (installer) and Lynn (interior decorator) were very responsive when we informed them that one window treatment did not hang properly. The promptly had the problem resolved.

I was impressed with the man that came out and did the measuring. When they came out to do it, they were so cautious with the edges and didn't make any assumptions. They cleaned up completely afterword.

This has been an absolute nightmare. Kohler and Drexel together are just awful in the customer service support arena. Kohler is extremely arrogant and Drexel, well. They're a bunch of liars and incompetent. They just are. As they have repeatedly told me I'd get my refund I had to pay for the new toilet. Sure. The short version is, I bought a Kohler Wellworth model toilet maybe 3 years ago. It had never flushed like it should and had clogged nearly constantly. A contractor had recommended it and he should be ashamed as well. Getting tired of this, I sent Kohler an e-mail explaining the issue of a poorly designed and malfunctioning toilet. They gave me an authorization letter to replace the toilet with the hopefully better Cimarron model. I still had to paid $407.00, and then Drexel had said they'd reimburse me $287.00 I had a credit on for the "old" toilet turned in. It's been three months. No credit refund in sight as Drexel had promised. I still have to pay.

They did a fine job. I was pleased with the way the floor looked. The guy took his time and was very contentious. They scheduled really promptly.

Very smoothly. I had an area that is a bit non-standard and they had good ideas for framing it.

Their measurements were very accurate and neat. They were conscientious because we were having new fixtures and sinks, the holes were drilled where needed. The kept checking with me to make sure they met my needs and arrived promptly as promised.

They did a pretty good job, except coordinating the separate department. The work was good though.

SALESPERSON AND INSTALLERS WERE BOTH ATTENTIVE, COURTEOUS AND PROFESSIONAL. SALESPERSONS FOR BOTH CARPETING AND WINDOW TREATMENTS WERE EXCEPTIONALLY FRIENDLY AND HELPFUL. THE CARPET AND WINDOW TREATMENTS RECOMMENDED WERE ALL HIGH QUALITY.

Very professional, creative and reasonably priced. I liked their work, they were helpful, and came up with very good ideas. They were willing to work within my budget.

While we are satisfied with our carpet, we were dissatisfied with the installation service. They had additional charges to install carpeting up the stairs, which they claimed was not included in the original estimate. We had to pay this additional charge at the time of installation, however, did retrieve the extra cost at a later date. In addition, they left a mess after the installation of the carpet.

DEPENDING WHETHER THE PLUMBER COULD BE THERE ON THE SAME DAY. SHE ESTIMATED ADDITIONAL $600 FOR PLUMBER ON THE SAME DAY. IT TURNED OUT TO BE $1,260 MORE! SIGNED CONTRACT, AND GAVE THEM $5,080 AUG. 23, & ASKED HOW LONG TO GET JOB DONE. SAID 5-6 WEEKS. GAVE THEM 10 WEEKS TO FINISH JOB. I WAS HAVING A WOOD FLOOR INSTALLED OCT. 31, AND WANTED JOB DONE FIRST. SALESPERSON FORGOT TO ORDER THE BATH COUNTERTOP UNTIL SEPT. 26 WHEN I REMINDED THEM ABOUT FLOOR INSTALLATION, AND IT WAS NOT RECEIVED UNTIL OCT. 17. THE KITCHEN COUNTER WAS ALREADY FINISHED. I COULDN'T SET UP AN INSTALLATION DATE UNTIL DREXEL RECEIVED BOTH COUNTERTOPS, BY THEN NO INSTALL DATES UNTIL OCT. 26,27. LEAVING ONLY 3 DAYS TO PREPARE FOR KITCHEN FLOOR. COUNTERTOPS LOOK NICE. HAD TO COMPLAIN TO MANAGER IN HOPES THAT JOB WOULD GET DONE ON OCT. 26,27. SALESPERSON ORDERED A BATH FAUCET INSTEAD OF A SINK FAUCET. EXPRESS MAILED THE RIGHT ONE THE DAY OF THE JOB, THE WRONG ONE HAD BEEN SITTING AT DREXEL FOR WEEKS.

WHEN FIRST GOING IN TO DREXEL TO PICK OUT OUR NEW SINK, FAUCET AND COUNTER TOP THEY WERE EXTREMELY HELPFUL AND ACCOMMODATING IN MAKING OUR CHOICES. WHEN IT CAME TO THE DATE OF OUR WORK TO BEGIN. ALL THE WORKERS WERE ON TIME, FRIENDLY AND DID A GREAT JOB. THEY ALL CLEANED UP BEHIND THEMSELVES ALSO. WE ARE EXTREMELY HAPPY WITH THEIR SERVICES AND OUR NEW BEAUTIFUL QUARTZ COUNTERTOP.

THE SERVICEMAN PROMPTLY CAME OUT AND GAVE ME AN ESTIMATE. WITHIN THE NEXT FEW DAYS THEY WERE ABLE TO COME OUT AND REPAIR OUR CARPET IN A FEW HOURS TIME. THEY DID A REALLY GREAT JOB. CAN'T EVEN SEE WHERE THE DAMAGE WAS.

THE ONLY REASON WE HIRED THEM WAS BECAUSE THE SALESPERSON ASSURED US THEY'D BE DONE IN TIME FOR THE BIRTH OF OUR BABY. IT TOOK SEVERAL MONTHS TO DO SEVERAL WEEKS OF WORK. CONTRACTORS RARELY SHOWED UP WHEN PROMISED, THE CARPENTER ACTUALLY MEASURED OUR REFRIGERATOR WRONG, AND DIDN'T LEAVE ENOUGH SPACE TO PUT IT BACK INTO THE FINISHED CUBBY HOLE. CONTRACTOR BLAMED DREXEL, DREXEL BLAMED THE CONTRACTOR, AND THEN BLAMED US, SAYING WE SHOULD HAVE RECHECKED MEASUREMENTS. DREXEL WAS VERY UNHELPFUL IN GETTING CONTRACTORS TO SHOW UP. THEY ALSO SHIFTED BLAME FOR THE SCHEDULING SCREW UPS TO US, TELLING US: "WELL, WE *TOLD* YOU NOT TO REMODEL YOUR KITCHEN UNTIL AFTER THE BABY." WE HAD TO WITHHOLD PAYMENT UNTIL THEY CAME BACK OUT TO FIX A CABINET HANGING BY ONLY ONE NAIL.

THE FIRST ATTEMPT THE TECHNICIAN DID NOT CALL BACK. THE SECOND ATTEMPT THE SALES PERSON TOLD ME IT WOULD BE CHEAPER TO TAKE IT MYSELF TO AN INDEPENDENT CONTRACTOR AND THAT IT WOULD TAKE A LONG TIME IF DREXEL DID THE WORK. THE THIRD TIME I WAS GIVEN AN ESTIMATE OF $195 AND TOLD THAT A TECHNICIAN WOULD CALL TO MAKE AN APPOINTMENT. I DID NOT RECEIVE A CALL. I FINALLY HAD THE WORK DONE BY ANOTHER COMPANY WHO CAME IN FOUR DAYS (COULD HAVE COME SOONER IF I HAD BEEN HOME), DELIVERED FOUR DAYS LATER, AND CHARGED ME $33.00 FOR EXCELLENT WORK. THE PRODUCTS ARE GOOD, THE SERVICE NON-EXISTENT.
