Description of Work: My oven went on the fritz, and Jim of JD Appliance went over and above to get it working again. While there were a couple of things that delayed resolution of the problem - the part had to be ordered, when it arrived from the factory the part was damaged, it turned out a different part was also needed (something a technician can not tell unless the first part is already in good working order), and a family funeral - Jim made sure to keep me informed, took a quick look at a non-functioning ice machine part and did not charge me for straightening out a piece that had caused that problem, and then didn't charge me for the first part for the oven because the repair had taken so long. Jim is a friendly, decent guy, and takes pride in his work. I definitely recommend him.

Description of Work: Refrigerator repair

Description of Work: He promptly returned our original phone call. He turned out to be correct in his over the phone analysis. He made 2 visits to our house. He didn't charge a "trip charge" for either visit. The first visit diagnosed the refrigerator problem. He had to order a specific part from the manufacturer. The second visit he installed the part. He only charged a minimum charge for one visit plus a fair cost for the part. My wife commented that he was very pleasant, likable and even cleaned up very well before leaving...including restocking the freezer!

Description of Work: I had a leak coming from the bottom of my refrigerator. The problem was corrected with two service visits and is completely solved. The service was excellent and done at a reasonable price.

Description of Work: They replaced the refrigeration unit on our Sub-Zero refrigerator and replaced the ignitors on our broiler and oven of our Viking range. Everything works fine.

Description of Work: LG washer making noise with rinse cycle. Called JD Appliance/Service took a while for them to get back to me. Person came and didn't spend much time investigating noise. I described the noise and he said "it's probably the pump" then replaced pump and left without making sure the pump was actually the problem. I started a load of laundry after he left, and the washer was making same noise so I called immediately, no answer, and I left message, no return call, it took many calls from me over a three week period to finally get a return call and another week after that before a return visit. Return visit, repairman didn't do anything except state maybe our washer has two pumps and will be talking to the LG people and will get back to us, it took again weeks for any Info and my calling....repairman came back only to replace the pump again, and noise still there. He stated it could be our (forgot name) which drains water into the chamber of the bleach area that isn't working and he promised he'd get back to me with info and a quote, it's now the end of July and i still haven't heard back. This leads me to believe, my washer didn't need the two new pumps, because it's still making the noise, and that this repairman really didn't know what to do with an LG washer. I would LOVE to know who I could trust to fix it right and for once and for all. Unfortunately, because of where we live, we are very limited to places who service LG.
