WOW!!! What a positive experience with a trying situation. Having a washer go down with a family of four can cause anyone to pull their hair out. Great communication on when the part was coming in and showed up right on time. Did a great job and was quick. When he gave me the invoice, I was even more surprised with how reason able it was. This will be the first call I make if and when we have another appliance decide to take a break. Thank you

Excellent repair service. Jim was very professional and gathered all of the necessary information to diagnose the likely problem over the phone so he could come with the necessary replacement parts. He called when he was on his way here (like he promised) and he arrived in the window promised. He was in and out in 20 minutes and was a very personable guy. His rates are very reasonable and I strongly recommend hiring him.

Jim was very courteous and professional. He went above and beyond to fix the dryer and made it as good as new. Even went back to his shop to get a better repair kit. Very reasonable service. Will definitely call him again for any appliance repairs!

I suspected that the dryer vent was clogged before calling JD Appliance. My call to Jim was answered promptly and we arranged for him to look at the dryer three days later; he told me that he did not do vent cleaning, but that lint build up in the machine could still be the problem. Unfortunately, Jim's residence caught on fire the morning of our initial appointment (it was in fact covered on the local TV news) and he called to reschedule.. The only reason that he got a B for punctuality is that he was running behind schedule and did not call to tell me that he was going to be about an hour late. When he checked the dryer, he found that air flow was blocked by a blob of lint at the exit from the dryer. This was removed and the vent was also cleared as far as he could reach. He recommended that the dryer not be positioned so close to the wall to allow the vent tube to be straighter. He also recommended the service of the dryer vent cleaning company if his work did not fix the problem and provided me the name of another Angie's list company (A rating). His work is under warranty for 90 days. He did not charge for labor, only the service call. He is friendly, courteous, honest, and professional. Would definitely use again and highly recommend JD Appliance.

The service was decent. Micro was repairable, but price of parts made it prohibitive. New micro cheaper to buy. Recommended place to take old unit for recycling.

They called back right away after contacting them and came to our home exactly when they said they would. He fixed it in less then 15 minutes and at a very reasonable price ! we would definitely recommend him to anyone who needs appliance repair

J D was very responsive and worked me in the same day I called. He was very professional and courteous and completed the work in a timely manner. I would certainly hire him again and plan to do so soon to do some work on a different appliance.

Everything went well. Very professional. Traveled outside of usual area to help. Price reasonable. Would hire again.

Diagnosed power failure. Three visits and replacing 3 circuit boards replaced. Unfortunately did not fix the problem. We decided it was a wiring failure in the cabinet. More cost effective to buy a new fridge. Even though he had made 3 trips and spent his time working with GE. He only charged me the original travel charge.

Jim had to remove and repair an older model built in microwave/oven combo. It was a monster to remove and access the parts. He was a trooper and got it done for us.

It went very well, J&D kept me up to date on when the parts were arriving. When the part arrived we set up the appointment and He was prompt on arrival, installed the part, and was very professional.

Absolutely wonderful, professional and very honest. Explained in detail what was wrong, and why he felt a repair would be too costly and not worth my spending the money. He didn't even charge for his time.

He came down from Appleton to Oshkosh, figured out what part, ordered it, and as soon as it came in he called and came out the next morning and had it up and running within 10 minutes. Great service and price. Will definitely use him again and recommend him to others.

The ice maker was not working properly. Quickly fixed it... and noted the leak from the bottom of the refrigerator, a problem we had been having for a while, was quickly repairable. Fixed quickly. Very pleasant, courteous, and neat. Highly recommend.

We cannot thanks J D Appliance enough for coming to our rescue! Our dryer died on us and we had a heck of a time finding someone who would come to our area. When we first called J D Appliance, he stated that they did not come to our area, but after hearing our plight, said he would. The first time he came out, he replaced the thermistor and thermal fuse. About a week later, we had to call him again for an unrelated problem. Again, he came to our rescue and was able to diagnose the problem. We have been happily drying clothes ever since!! I would highly recommend him for all your appliance needs. Not only was he professional, knowledgeable and understanding, but his prices were better than most.

I wrote a note to the provider on Angie's List, and received a reply within a half hour. James, the owner, came out the next day and determined a part was faulty. He changed out the part, and told me that if the problem recurred to call him and he would come back at no charge if the problem persisted. James is very professional and friendly. He knew just what to do and did it quickly and efficiently. Most of the charge was for the part so I feel the price was quite reasonable. A couple days after he originally came out, the refrigerator wasn't making as much ice as I thought it should so I called him again; he came back out the next day. When he arrived, the refrigerator no longer had the problem so he couldn't determine what was going on, but he didn't charge me and also indicated if it happened again that I should call him and he would come out the same day as a call to "catch" the problem, and told me there would be no charge for his coming back out again. Within another 24 hours I determined the refrigerator was working properly so didn't contact him again. Nevertheless, he called me a few days later just to check to make sure all was well. I feel he goes above and beyond in service. Highly recommend.

I have a Maytag intelligent dryer that would not heat. I call JD's number and spoke directly to him. After I describe the problem he told me it would be 1 of 3 things and gave me a cost estimate over the phone. He came the next morning and looked, it was one of the things he though and although he didn't have the correct part ordered it and returned the next day and fixed it. I wasn't home at the times he came but my wife was. She normally hates repairmen but really found him to be honest, to the point and fast. He did a great job!! I'm telling all my friends if they need an appliance repairman, I'v got the guy.

My 11 year old front loading LG washer started making a huge racket during a spin cycle. I called J D Appliance and another repair person. J D returned my call with in a couple of hours and told me what he suspected was wrong based on my description. He estimated it would cost approximately $375 - 450; but would not know for sure until he got the actual model and looked up the actual part. He made an appointment for that afternoon to come and diagnose the problem for certain. The cost for diagnosis was $20.00 which would come off the total bill if I did the repair with him. He arrived in a timely manner and quickly looked at my washer and knew what part he needed. He told me he would call that evening after looking up the part cost. As promised,

JD was a little late on his first appointment for his estimate visit, but he came to my home and inspected my fridge. Several days later he contacted me with the estimate and I scheduled the repairs. He called shortly before the repair appointment and canceled. I had to follow up and schedule a new appointment. This time he showed up about on time, but soon as he started working he realized he didn't have his tools with him, but he was able to complete the job it only took him twice as long as it should have. Overall he did a decent job, he was a polite guy, but he seems to be some what unorganized and in a constant hurry. Parts were $27 and labor was $56.
