The initial appointment went very well and the representative was very courteous and professional. He gave good advice on the work to be done. I felt a great deal of trust right away and thats what decided me to use Prograss services. We setup an appointment for the work to be done and the workers arrived on time and started working immediately after receiving their instructions. I was a bit scared that they weren't taking any notes when receiving all the instructions, and it turns out I was right to be because they missed a lot of instructions when they were supposed to be done 2 days later. I thought the job was rough on the edges and was missing attention to details. I immediately let know my advisor when I noticed all the mistakes and missed work, and thats where the trust I placed in him paid me back. He sent people back to fix all possible issues untilthe job was as well made as I wanted it in the first place. I have to say I have very high standards in general so I'm hard to please, but in the end Prograss team made a very good job after fixing the initial mistakes and misses. For that reason, I'm giving a good rating, but I hope the next jobs I give are flawless on the first try instead of needing the back and forth. That is what I expect for paying a higher price compared to going with the cheaper companies.

Prograss was awesome! What else can I say? Adam Dean, the operations manager was a consummate professional. He came to our home, provided an estimate which was well within our budget, and worked with us to find the perfect landscape solution. I'm so glad we decided to work with Prograss and Adam Dean. When the work started, the professionals were very courteous and worked with my wife on exactly what she wanted. They worked tirelessly to complete the job as required and exceeded our expectations. Overall, Prograss was honest, trustworthy and a company I would hire again without a doubt. Well done Prograss!

They did good work and on schedule.

It was good. I don't believe they charged me for the head that they replaced. They were fast and pleasant. I hired them to do service. The cost of the service met my expectations. The quality was just fine. They were on time.

We called Adam because we had a problem with poor drainage around our patio causing wet muddy conditions. Adam came out right away and besides going with my play chip idea, pointed out that two more drains would really help with the drainage problem. We couldn't be happier with the work Adam's crew performed. They were able to schedule us in right away and were here and done in 6 hours. This was hard labor, with carting out the heavy clay by the bucket load, down 12 steps followed by carting all the play chips, by the bucket load, up those same steps. Besides working very hard, they were courteous and professional. And they did a great job cleaning up after themselsves, a step that's often forgotten. We plan to use Prograss for all of our larger projects in the future.

They did pretty good. I wanted them to come back and remove the tree trunk and they didn’t want to. They do a really good job but my only complaint was that they didn’t come back to make sure that the whole job is done. I didn’t pay for somebody to take out a tree and miss the stump and it is still in my yard. I didn’t get a call back to check up on it either. They were pretty responsive. They came out when they said they would.

Went just fine. He was unabe to blow out one section because the ground was aready frozen.

Frank was prompt, courteous, answered all questions I had about the system, and helped tinker with problems that were beyond the scope of his "Angie's Deal" obligation. I'm signing up to have him come back in the spring and be our regular sprinkler-system maintenance guy. Thank you, Frank!

I used Prograss for several years and was happy with their work. The gardeners were courteous and Prograss made sure the work was properly done. I liked reading their newsletters giving advice on lawn care and other gardening tips. Adam is very professional and courteous.

parts of lawn didn't respond. I was out of town. upon return,when asked why lawn didn't grow, was told "needed more mowing." obviously, we couldn't mow what wasn't there. they didn't call or come by to help.

They did some other work for me removing a tree stump and reinstalling my lawn which went well. The subsequent lawn service that I signed up for was where I had issues. I consistently asked them to cut the lawn higher as they were cutting it too short and it was burning the lawn as in keeping it brown. They were also supposed to trip my bushes and shrubs and over 3 months they never did even though I asked repeatedly. The manager was very responsive in email and professional its just that they did not listen to what I wanted or execute and thus my review. I feel like I paid about 300 dollars more than I needed to because I got half the service I signed up for in the first place.

Over time, the vigorous raking will strip soil unless you apply mulch regularly. On two occasions it looked like their mower was tilted too far and cut into the turf. A supervisor looked at it and claimed "no we didn't do that". To me the cut in the lawn looked for all the world like a circular blade had cut too deep into the turf and killed a patch of grass. They totally ducked responsibility for it; I was not pleased.

They were early, diligent and extremely knowledgeable. Patrick (the estimator landscaper?) called us back the day we inquired and got folks here to work the next week. Very happy.

We were told that the clean-up would take two days. The Prograss crew arrived on the first day without the manager/owner (I think) and got to work right away. We were told Adam would be stopping by mid day to check on the progress. They did work for 2 days but one day they were down a 3rd man so we still have some unfinished work to be done by them. At this point we are just trying to squeeze in the time for Prograss to come back out and complete the job. They are very busy and it can be challenging to reach the owner at times.However, they were meticulous in their work and the guys were professional and very friendly. They will be our go to guys for lawn maintenance and landscape projects from here on forward. Yes. They are a little more than services we've had before- but they really know what they are doing and the care they take in their service really shows!

We set up an appointment to talk about the job and get an estimate. I waited an hour and a half. No calll, no show. Someone came later in the day when I was out and left a calling card. No apology. He later said he'd been "running late" but seemed to think it was no big deal. If you're looking for reliable service, look elsewhere. I am.

No work was performed as Adam could not fit me into the schedule until after the time I wanted to list my home. However, they were very responsive to my request for a bid -- they came out quickly and provided me with a quote in a very quick timeframe. I would definitely call them again in the future!!

We moved into a new house recently, and our backyard was a messy, unusable pile of gravel, so we decided to bite the bullet and do a complete remodel. Having interviewed a few landscaping companies and studied their bids/design ideas, we decided to go with Adam Dean and ProGrass. Their bid was very competitive, but most importantly, Adam was the only contractor who took the time to understand our (admittedly naïve) ideas, and worked with us to turn them into a reality. All the other providers told us our ideas wouldn't work because of one reason or another (the backyward was heavily sloped, there was a sewer line in the way, etc...), and tried to convert us into their own ideas instead. I must admit that I was initially concerned by a couple of tepid reviews of ProGrass on Angies List, but I am very glad that I made this choice. Having now completed what has been a 2-week project, ProGrass and Adam have my unequivocal endorsement. Each day, Jose and his hard-working teammates arrived early in the morning, and got right to work. I am amazed at the before and after state of the yard. Along the way, there were a lot of things that needed to be done: a major cleaning had to happen first to haul away some of the dead plants and debris, the yard needed to be patched to allow the patio and turf to be installed on a level plane, new plants and decorative rocks were brought in, steppers were added to allow access from the side of the yard, etc... Adam always kept us informed of how the work was going, and never made money a concern when we kept asking him for additional services (spray washing, cleanup of the front yard, etc...). All in all, we're very satisfied with the end result, and we would not hesitate to recommend Adam and ProGrass to anyone needing landscaping services.

We found the initial price a little high but negotiated and we got a reasonable estimate. We were so satisfied with the service, we ended up hring them for our weekly maintenance. Another great find from Angie;s.

The work progress extremely well. Since they were removing trees and shrubbery, they were cleaning up at the end of every work day insuring the work site was "accident" free. We did hit a cold snap which understandably halted some of the work. Once the weather improved, they resumed work immediately. This is a work in progress. We are excited to see the yard begin blooming in the late winter months and spring.
