o2Pure Air Duct Cleaning

I was very pleased with the job. Kirk was on time, thoroughly explained what he was going to do and showed me the dust collected in his vacuum filter after he had completed the work. I thought the price was very reasonable and competitive. He offered a discount because I was an Angie's List customer. Before he left, he mentioned that he had added a drop of organic lavender oil to the filter (?) and the scent should be almost imperceptible. I know this was meant to be a nice touch but I am very allergic to scents. My only suggestion would be for him to ask about doing it beforehand or clients should mention if they are also highly sensitive. Addendum: I had my furnace replaced in the fall and the company was required to do a pressure test on the ducting. The vents are sealed while they do the test. When they removed the seal, the floor vents had big clumps of dust stuck in them. This meant that dust, etc. in the ducting was dislodged at the time of cleaning and had not been vacuumed/extracted sufficiently to capture the loose material.

Kirk arrived promptly at the agreed upon time and was a pleasure to work with from the start. I have 2 children at home and our 2 year old was immediately interested in what he was doing. Kirk did not flinch a bit at my son's inquisitive nature and interacted with him with kindness, patience, and humor. The whole job went smoothly and Kirk was very professional - considerate of our belongings, informative about the issues he encountered, and friendly as well. I would highly recommend Kirk because of these factors and because of how quickly he responded to my inquiries in the first place. Very pleased!

Kirk and his likable supporting cast were the only contractor who arrived on time (if not five minutes early). I had four separate services scheduled for this day (new home we purchased) all top rated from Angies list, yet O2Pure was the only crew that kept their scheduled appointment and was spot on. In my opinion (which comes from someone who was raised in a family business in the service industry) Kirk sets the bar for a high quality service provide. He knows it's important to set expectations with his customers and follow through. He didn't just do the bare minimum, he was a wealth of knowledge (which he shared) and tips. He also went beyond the stated service at no additional charge, making several minor repairs to the furnace when he discovered things like insulation that had broken free and was partially blocking the fan (something the home inspector didn't catch....). I asked lots of questions, as I like to understand what service providers are doing - Kirk humored me with explanations, all the while moving forward on the job. He had one assistant with him and the two of them progressed with military precision through the job. When it was all done, everything was put back as it was before - neat and tidy as you please. I'm keeping O2Pure's info handy and plan to use and refer them in the future. Excellent service, great price - awesome staff.

It went very smoothly -- we didn't even need to be there!

The service and cost was for two houses in Pierce Co. Both were built in 1890 with air ducts installed in the late 1940s. I am sure they had never been cleaned before. Thick blankets of blackish filth were removed. My expensive air filters used to be clogged within a week or two. Now after 5 weeks filters in both houses still look clean!!! The air actually smells better and breathing is easier. Kirk and Darian were very professional and neat. They worked carefully around an invalid with COPD and crowded health equipment in one of the homes. The access holes were very neatly made and securely covered/sealed for future access. I will definitey have O2Pure clean the ducts regularly in the future. Their process was far more extensive and professional than that described by other providers with similar prices. Great bargain & worthy investment in health and quality of life! Liked the fact that they are NADCA -ACIS certified and no travel charge in spite of the distance. Thank you so much!!!

It was a very pleasant experience. The owner was very courteous and professional, and left my house in great shape.

Our house is approximately 3500 square feet. We picked this o2pure based on their solid Angie's list reputation and their certifications. They arrived on time, performed the work (heater cleaned; in-house vents vacuumed twice, including with a long high-pressure hose snaked down each vent; and outside dryer vent was cleaned using said high-pressure hose), kept the house clean, and showed us the results of the dust and gunk collected in their central vac (which was reassuring to know the furnace and ducts were actually cleaned). They had the equipment and know-how to do the job right with no worries. Their website says they provide other vent services, but there was no mention or pressure to purchase these.

Another glowing report for Kirk and o2Pure Air Duct Cleaning! I couldn't be happier with both Kirk as a person, and the cleaning of the furnace, vents, and dryer. Kirk was easy to schedule with, prompt, professional, quick working, and was super nice and friendly and interactive with my very curious 2 year old daughter who followed him around asking what he was doing. He even drew a smily face on a piece of paper she found on the floor and gave it back to her to hold. Seriously, he could be my nanny any day! Kirk was very knowledgable about our air system, informing me that our house had an oil furnace at one time and when it was converted to gas forced air, some ducts were blocked off, so that's why some vents didn't work and have been closed the whole time we've lived in our house. He worked quickly and got lots of dust, and one pencil, out of the system. So happy to have this done before baby #2 arrives. Will definitely hire Kirk again when needed. And he gave me the Angie's List discount without my even asking!

Everything about this job went as well as it could be. Called Kirk on a Thursday evening and he told me he could stop by the house that Saturday afternoon. He called me a couple of hours before the agreed time to confirm the appointment an arrived at the house a few minutes earlier. He promptly went about his business and was out of there in no time. Real professional, clean, fast and courteous. I'd highly recommend you to hire his services.

Appreciated the professional attitude and care used when accessing each room in my home. Friendly attitude and more than willing to answer any questions I had. Showed up on time, performed the service requested in approximately 2 hours and charged what was quoted over the phone when the appointment was set up. No hidden surprises or pressure to perform additional services. Our house is not only cleaner and more dust free, but it smells much fresher as well. I highly recommend. A++

Easy to schedule, arrived right on-time, work was quick and efficient, very friendly, did a good job, offered valuable advise, left everything clean. All in all a great job at a very fair price. Also accepted Angie's List coupon. Couldn't be more satisfied. Will recommend him to others.

Kirk Nygaard was recommended by the installer of our new furnace. We called on Monday 11th and he finished the work about an hour ago on Tues. the 12th. He cleaned all accessible vents with a hose and vac and used a high power van from the furnace to complete the job. I had also called a pest control inspector for the same morning and because that inspector was later we had both trucks in the driveway at the same time. Kirk worked smoothly around the confusion and began immediately. He worked steadily without seeming to rush. One of the biggest pleasures in the entire process were the small conversations. Kirk is professional, knowledgeable, personable and completely thorough. I asked how often we should have this service (knowing full well that every 38 years is too long to wait). KIrk said that three years is appropriate and so in three years I will have no hesitation in calling Kirk back to do it again. As he finished he asked if we wanted to see the dirt removed. Though revolting to see what we had ignored, we were impressed with seeing how much dirt his filters had collected. Wow! Good man, good job--deserves a good recommendation.

Kirk was so professional and saved us between $640 to a low of $350. just by helping us over the phone. After calling COIT and Aurora Edmonds Power Vac to ask about their service for cat urine in a floor vent which lead to furnace odor, we weren't sure which company to go with. We checked Angie's List and found Kirk at o2Pure. He explained to me that none of those services would eliminate the problem. Saying that the urine had soaked into the insulation around the air duct tubing and vents, and it would have to be removed and replaced. That it was a quick inexpensive fix. He explained exactly how to clean the area after removing the air duct tubing and how to replace them. We had spoken to numerous companies and none of them admitted they could not remove the odor completely. Now our home is free of that odor and we will have o2Pure come out and clean our air duct system for standard reasons. Thank you Kirk, we appreciate you more than we can say. David and Terri

Kurt was extremely flexible in scheduling and I'm impressed that he was willing to travel the distance he did. Arrived in a timely manner, was very friendly, considerate of our nervous indoor cat, and very professional in the performance of the job. His assistant was efficient and polite.

Kirk explained the whole duct cleaning procedure over the phone when I called to make an appointment. He arrived on time and was very professional, personable and friendly (including to my pets!). He wore booties on his shoes so as not to track in dirt onto my carpets. I got his name from Angie's List but also from a furnace maintenance guy that I was getting a bid from who recommended Kirk (said he has worked with a lot of air duct cleaning services but that Kirk was the best). When I did have my furnace maintenance work done several days after Kirk cleaned the air ducts, the furnace maintenance guy said that whoever cleaned the air ducts did a good job. So two different furnace maintenance guys said Kirk does good work and they should know.
