Eastside Exterminators

I bought their service under an Anglie's List coupon/special. The text on the special read that they would come in, do a thorough inspection of the house inside and out and provide a complete report of activity and possible entry points. They would also lay the traps. Then once the repairs were completed, they could come back and inspect and empty and remove the traps. They guy was late. He did seem to do a thorough inspection. He took about a 1/2 hour in his car when he came in with a bunch of paperwork indicating what he found and the repairs he'd recommend as well as several other papers offering regular pest inspection/removal services, insulation estimates, etc. He showed some pictures of activity. I don't blame them for trying to sell services as I know the inspection was just a way to start a customer relationship. He said the repairs would cost $800. I already had a handyman who could make the repairs. Then I would call them and they could come back and remove the traps. He said, "No, that's now how it works. THEY have to do the repairs, and THEN they'd come back to remove traps, etc." I showed him the text of the coupon and it did not say that the company had to do the repairs anywhere. We spent over 10 very uncomfortable combative unprofessional minutes arguing about it, him threatening to just remove the traps now. He told me that NO ONE ever read the coupon that way, that's not what it meant, etc. I backed down and tried to take the "I'm sure you and your manager would prefer to maintain your customer service reputation." The discussion settled down. He left the traps and said that he'd have his manager call me. NO ONE ever contacted me again. I had my handyman come in. He did the repairs for $400. He said the activity was old and minimal. He sealed all of the possible entry points. I would not recommend Eastside primarily because of the inspector's attitude and unprofessional behavior, in addition to price.

It went great. The guys that did the work were very professional and worked with me on some specific details on how I wanted the work done, As well as worked with me to stage the work out over a few visits to work around other projects going on at my house. My floors are nice and warm in the winter now, and as a bonus, the spray foam helped firm up the feel of the floor and remove a few squeaks. Closed cell spray foam is _really_ sturdy stuff - it's almost structural in how it tied the entire floor system together. It also removed any drafts from the floors and from around electrical/plumbing penetrations into the crawlspace - the foam seals up _everything_. The ducts maintain temperature much better now and don't leak air into the crawlspace/attic at every joint - the spray foam does a combination of sealing and insulation, which is great, as well as fast and easy to install. Now my ducts blow hotter air in the winter with the heater on and colder air in the summer with the AC on, and we get a stronger airflow out to the rooms because of the tightly sealed ductwork. Perfect! The skylight "light well" is also very well insulated and doesn't get hot from the attic in the winter, and now provides lots of light without impacting my heat and AC bill. As a result of the positive experience with the work done so far, I am planning to use them again for a bit more insulation work in the house and highly recommend them to others. I also highly recommend the closed cell spray foam insulation for walls and floors. Pricey, but wow, it _really_ works well.

All went quite well, the inspector when around and through the house. They were courteous and professional. After the inspection we sat down and all the information was explained to us. We would use their services again if required.

The service was good, they cleaned up well, and I found no signs that they were even here doing the work. It was easy to schedule and they were on time.

It was an Angie's List Big Deal that I purchased. They were very good. There was no extra cost. They did their job and they were very good. I have nothing bad. I would certainly recommend them.

They sealed the openings where rodents would be able to enter and removed the existing rodents. They also installed a vapor barrier in part of the basement. The follow up inspector did not really check the work thoroughly but the work performed has held up.

As we had two problems - rodents and very old and insufficient insulation - we were fortunate to find this company who could deal with all our problems without calling in another contractor. Everyone with whom we dealt was professional and helpful - from the company representative who assessed the problems and wrote up the contract to office staff to the workmen.

Michell did inspection well. She noticed traces of rat dropouts and let me know how harmful rat could be. She put some rat traps in my garage, crawl space and attic. It was overall good inspection and information. I later found rat in a trap which was great!

Wendy did a thorough job explaining the condition and showing pictures of our crawlspace and provided options for what we could do to improve the rodent problem and cleanup. She also checked the attic by my request and it had no problems. There was a team of people that worked on the project. They did a great job and it looks amazing!

We had purchased a big deal for the service, and it was fine. It worked. They came in and they did quite a bit more. They came in and blocked off some openings, and cleaned out, and so I paid an additional 800 Dollars. The service was fine. They came when they said they were going to come, and they did the work that they said they were going to do. We didn't find any rodents or anything. The service was good, and they did a good job, but the price was expensive.

Leo, our sprayer is very intent about getting to the areas identified as pest hiding places. Leo is a cheerful and personable fellow to have on this team.

Kevin came out to do a rodent inspection. Prior to doing that he explained exactly what he would be doing and what my $99.00 covered. He was very thorough. There was no hard sell here, just questions answered. He also let me know that we were not up to code on our roof insulation which I did not know about. While he was there he gave me a quote for that. I was very pleased with the service

Service went well. They did have to come back and redo some work, but came back same day. In the end, the service was well done

That particular service was okay but their follow up service and price I think is above average. And so I won't follow up with them after I finish this contract with them.

The exterminator was on time, explained what he would do, when he would return. When he came back and had trapped the roof rats he found the entry point and sealed it. We were very pleased with the service.

Called to schedule the service, but was told that it was only good for rodents, and possums are not rodents (didn't know there was a distinction). The company's website shows info on removing possums, raccoons, etc, so I assumed that this inspection deal would apply for these as well.In fact, the deal came up when I typed in possum removal (animal removal), otherwise I would have just called the company to try and set up an appointment. They were very polite, but I don't have a mouse or rat problem. I found another company on Angie's list that will remove possums.

The people who came out were extremely responsive and professional. The person at their office had some trouble with scheduling initially and we had two occasions where they were scheduled to come out and didn't. We were told that they recently moved offices and that may have been a contributing factor. Overall though we were very happy with the work they did.

We've had Eastside Exterminators for several years now. The initial work was extensive as rats had penetrated the attic and were nesting there, and had ripped out most of the insulation. They really made a mess. Eastside Exterminators used a progressive plan, first trying to see if they could just set traps in the attic and trim away trees so rats could not get in. But that wasn't enough so they recommended an exclusion. A gentleman spent the whole day sealing off every access point with tough wire screens. They even had to work with our roofer to lift the top tiles to line the vent slots with the screens. That work took time and was not cheap but in the years since, the rats have not returned to the attic. The rat stations outside help keep them from hanging around the house. They have been professional and informative. When we've thought we've seen issues, the exterminator who comes once a month comes inside to check. Highly recommended.

I had an excellent experience. We got a coupon from AmazonLocal for their services and, as always, I was suspicious that the low price could be just a bait to offer more stuff once they got here. That was not the case. They performed exactly what was described in the coupon and explained what other options were available, but didn't try to push me at all. The service itself was performed quickly and safely and the results were great.

They showed up on time and took care of the problem.

It worked out very well. I had a pretty good experience with them.
