Eastside Exterminators

They were on time. They were helpful and knowledgeable. They made recommendations, but where not pushy about it either. They sprayed the exterior of my home and it took them about 30 minutes. They hit everywhere and any concerns I had they responded with doing a little bit more that area for me.

It went well. They were on time and did the job. That’s the best anybody can ask for.

Bugs still in home after treatment

Todd spent about 3 hours looking over our property, he set out 11 traps in our crawlspace & attic, and then sat down to let us know his findings. During the course of reviewing his findings, Todd let us know the work to be done would be approximately $8K in total - $3K for the exclusion work, $2.5K to clean & insulate the crawlspace, and $2.5K to do the same with the attic. We spent about 30 minutes discussing his findings and before leaving he stated that a representative from EE would be back to our home in 5 days to check the traps. So, 5 days passed and we never heard anything from EE; after 2 weeks, I called the company to ask when their person was coming to check the traps and they informed me that no one was coming back. Moreover, the rep from EE said that the "traps are now yours" and in order to have anyone from EE return to check/empty the traps there would be an additional fee. While my husband and I are capable of crawling into our crawlspace, this was exactly what we were hoping to avoid! If we were 10 years older, this would not even be an option for us and we would simply be stuck with dead, rotting rodent carcasses in our crawlspace!! I called a few other local exterminators and they told me this approach is highly unconventional - typically, when a fee is paid there is an arrangement to check the traps several times (at least once!) to ensure the rodent issues are being addressed. The other exterminators I spoke with encouraged me to reconnect with EE to ask them to come back to at least remove the traps they left. After contacting EE a second time to request that they return to remove the traps, they told me again a fee would be required for their return and that they had no plans to remove the traps. I think it is important to mention that we weren't put off by the quote initially presented to us and had planned to move forward after the first meeting (even though many of the review on Angie's List for EE reference fact that EE's prices are high, undoubtedly related to the commissions they are paying their salespeople). We are still pressing forward to have this exclusion and insulation work completed - had we not received such a horrible customer experience with EE we would have moved forward with the bid. At this point, we have been able to speak with a number of other reputable exterminators and insulation companies and will be completing this project with other companies. I would encourage anyone looking for extermination/exclusion/insulation services to fully research other companies before committing to use the services of EE. Not only are their prices high, but their business practices are questionable, bordering on unethical.

We had a great experience with Eastside! They came right on time and did a thorough review of our attic. They noted that some additional soffit vents were needed to increase air circulation, and it turned out that PGE would cover the cost of the vents since we were adding insulation to the attic. The two follow-up visits--to install the vents, and then the insulation--were also right on time, and throughly professional. They showed me the work they performed, answered all my questions, and did a thorough cleanup. Overall a great experience, I would certainly use them again for any future work.

They did a good job, and left things very clean.

They've done a lot of work for us. They did an inspection and we hired them to do additional work to rid us of mice. We've been very happy with them. We got a good value for what we paid and they were up front with us about costs. They were thorough and prompt.

It went great -- they were prompt, efficient, polite and professional, and the end result looks great and I hope will make my home more energy efficient. The only reason I gave less than an "A" on professionalism was because the men doing the work were quite loud (playing music and yelling to each other) during the course of the work, which was pretty distracting as I was trying to work from home during the time they had to do their work. But, that being said, they were all very nice and courteous and they did a great job with something that wasn't very pleasant (it's a low crawl space), so I didn't say anything to them about it and it certainly wouldn't be enough for me to not consider using them again. I think they did great work and I can easily recommend them.

We decided to only go with the initial assessment information, and do the replacement work ourselves, as they had estimated about $5000 for them to do it for us. We ended up doing it, and it cost about $1000 total.

It was an Angie's List Big Deal that we purchased. It went very well. They did excellent work but it was very expensive. The work was good. We had to pay in increments. They charged $100 for the inspection. Then they wanted $794 for rodent inclusion to set traps and see if they could catch anything. They decided there had been animals under there but they didn't know when. There was critter poop in there and some insulation had been torn up. The total cost was $1727.78. It was pretty expensive. I would use them again if I couldn't find anybody cheaper.

Intial spraying went fine, the technician recommended several follow up treatments if the ants did not go away. That was fine we signed the invoice, wrote a check and went on our way. What wasn't made clear was that we were signing up for a service contract, for a term of 1 year. Where every 2-3 months they would come out and spray. This is not at all what we were looking for. When I called and explained that we were not aware that we were committing to a 1 year term and that we absolutely were not looking for that, we were told that since we signed the contract we would need to honor the contract or pay a $300 cancellation fee. After explaining that we had used Eastside exterminators several times in the past, and that it would be a shame to lose a customer over this, they still insists we needed to honor the contract. Will never use this service again. The marks in Price, and Punctuality are for the technician. He showed up when he said he would and the cost for the initial treatment was fair. The ants never came back after one treatment

He did a very complete and careful job. I felt satisfied.

The visit went great! Leo was very professional and informative. He provided the service that we paid for and educated us about their services without being pushy about signing up for a regular service (which I really appreciated). He was warm, professional and friendly and identified the insect that was showing up in the home. The person that we spoke with to set up the appointment was prompt as well. We will certainly be contacting them again for our pest control needs.

It worked out very well. He came over and he was very friendly and very nice. The work was good, because I haven't seen the ants again. I definitely would recommend them.

All went very well. They were on time arriving, and when done did an excellent crawl space clean-up job. We would recommend this company to anyone needing the same service as we had.

Although pricey, the end result was worth it. We’ll have them back out every other month to do external checks, and I’ve already recommended them to my neighbor. They’re very professional and easy to work with.

They're great! The package was very extensive and we were overall happy. They were on time within the hour and very professional. Their follow-on package was a little pricey, but it was worth it.

The guy is pretty friendly and it was raining but he still agreed to do it so that was pretty nice. I really like that he just came and asked and I said, "Okay, just spray that" and he did. I can recommend them.

It was good. I had something in my wall and attic that I heard and they came out. They did an inspection of the house. I ask them to do some work and they did a good job. The screening and stuff around the crawl space and no rodents can get in and screening around the edge of the roof so nothing can get into the attic. They put bait boxes out and they come out quarterly to inspect the bait boxes and I give a bill for that. I haven't had any issues. They were here last summer. I don’t pay monthly. When they come out and do check the bait boxes I give a bill when they come out like $89.

They were very responsive and were out right away to give an estimate. The person was very professional yet friendly and easy going. He explained the level of insulation left in the spaces and showed pictures of signs of heat loss. He spent time to explain what we could do to minimize the heat loss. On the day of the clean out, the team was on time and very polite. They laid down tarps in the house to keep it clean as they were vacuuming out the old, disgusting insulation. They even asked me if I wanted to check the attics and under the house when they were done cleaning. They did a good job of picking up after they were done. Now that we have good insulation, the house was much warmer this winter. Overall the team was on-time, professional, and friendly. I purchased a Rodent Inspection Package because I had some mice problem. I called so many places and left messages for so many providers because I really wanted to take care of this problem on that day. Someone immediately answered my call and said, "I'll contact technicians working today and ask them if they can go to your place today." The person called me right back and told me that one technician would be available to come to my house. The technician called me right before he came to my place. He was very friendly and professional. His inspection was extremely through. He also set some traps, so I stopped having mice problem immediately. I was very impressed. I didn't use this company to do the actual sealing work because another company gave me a much lower bid, but I really appreciated their responsiveness and through work.

From the office personnel to the technician who answered all my panic calls, they were calm and reassuring. The tech, Mark, was on time and did a thorough job of explaining what products he would use and a good job of treating our carpet and furniture. It took two follow-up treatments to finally get the last bugs (and I had to disassemble a sofa so Mark could specially treat where we thought the last ones were hiding. I called him several times with questions, he shared the latest research data on the growing U.S. bedbug problem, and was always sympathetic and encouraging.

Everything was beauitful. From the first phone call to the last second everyone has been great, and so caring. Since having a flood in your house can be distressing I felt like everyone had taking their time to listen to me. This was an added bonus, I didn't expect it, nor did I feel I brought on the talking, but it was great they cared enough to go beyond just business and talk for a few minutes. Felt like a very personl business. Like we are friends not just customers. I thought the price was reasonable. We had a flood and half of the insulation in the crawlspace was gone, the other half was lower R value and not touching the subfloor. Also during the flood a piece of ductwork was removed. They added the insulation and ductwork back in, and doubled the exisiting insulation to touch the subfloor and gave it a higher R-value. Total insulated area is about 1200sqft. Everything was so fast and so easy, zero pressure. I have already called them out to help me with another really small project. I would highly recommend them to anyone.

The guy from the company just came out and sprayed. I was like, "Oh, he sprayed here. Okay." The service seemed to have worked and the quality of his product was good. Everyone charges $99 for such service like he does. I found this orange oil which is all natural that I could spray myself so I probably would not use him anymore because I found this homemade organic solution. He made the spiders go away so the service worked but I was just reading online that I can probably use something more organic and it may be cheaper to do it myself plus I can handle it because I do not have to get up on the roof.
