My wife originally contacted Bellaren for an estimate to do some work after our property was flooded in January 2009 while I was deployed to Iraq. Bellaren provided a meticulous, detailed estimate at a very competitive price (when compared to the other estimate received). My wife had them do the initial flood cleanup work and was very happy with their work and how they treated her so she asked them to do an additional siding job replacing siding on the peaks of our home with Hardiplank that looks like cedar shingles. They also did a very good job on this, despite the difficulty of the job and some nasty weather. When I needed some more work done I called and got an estimate. Once again, it was very detailed and the price was competitive. The quality of the work exceeded my expectations, so I kept adding more work for them to do (as you can see from the list below). All of it was done very well. I did notice a small leak underneath the house a few months after the utility sink and dishwasher lines were put in. Kyle had the plumber out right away to fix it at no charge. According to the plumber, when the drywall was put back on after putting in the utility sink and dishwasher, a drywall screw was driven into the one of the utility sink lines, creating a small leak. The plumber replaced the line...no issues.

Tim, Kyle and their employees were courteous and professional. They made sound recommendations, examined the deck structure ( which I was most concerned ) and determined that replacing the floor and making fixes to the railing was all that was necessary. Worked with us to keep the price down. They did excellent work, and we would highly recommend them. Sorry this review is a year late.

Bellaren is responsive, very professional, and did a nice job on the roof. It took longer than originally estimated (5 days instead of 3 days). They attempted to clean up but did leave some of the yard in disrepair. I would work with this contractor again.

They did a lot work, they were excellent. They put a lot of time and effort before we even had a contract. I would not hesitate to use or recommend them.

Tim and Kyle are very friendly and courteous and do a professional job. They always try to make sure the job is done right, in every detail. This is the second time we have hired them to do work for us and would not hesitate to do so again. It is evident that they are dedicated to providing excellent customer service. When sub-contractors are needed, they hire quality sub-contractors and ensure that the work they do is properly scheduled and supervised. They used plastic and canvas drop cloths to cut down as much as possible the spread of dirt & dust from the construction.

They were great and fine. I don't have any complaints about them.

Bellaren performed very well by bringing the project to completion a few days before a deadline based on arriving guests. That's a feat most contractors would probably find hard to meet but they did it. In future projects we plan get ahead of the curve by planning in more time.

We have done a number of sizeable remodelling projects in the past, however the folks at Bellaren were by far our favorites. They were very responsive, and delivered exactly what we talked about. They were great in working with us and helping us avoid things in planning that would have increased prices. If you're looking for great service and quality, look no futher.

They were very efficient with their time and worked really hard. They were prompt at removing the flooded material and disposing of it in one day so that the crawlspace had time to dry out before the inhibitor was sprayed. Once dried they quickly returned to finish the work. I received three bids and felt that this was a better deal (because the insulation was of higher R-value than the other bids) for either the same price or better than the others. The owners were both very professional and prompt in returning phone calls and making an initial written estimate. The other two bids did not give us a written estimate, only verbal. On a scale of one to ten they were a 10 on professionalism, and that goes a long way with me even if their price was higher!

The original outside stairs to a bonus room over our garage had rotted out and were in need of replacement. Bellaren and two other companies were invited to bid. We selected Bellaren on the basis of initial impressions, reasonable estimate and detailed information in their bid. We then made some design revisions and received an adjusted, final bid -- which was the price we paid. The stairs couldn't have turned out better, constructed of pressure treated lumber, Cedar, and stainless steel & galvanized hardware. They are extremely sturdy and very attractive. Kyle and his assistant Cody showed up on time and worked hard from start to finish. Their work is extremely professional as well -- when Kyle noticed that he had made a small mistake on measurements for the landing, he immediately corrected it the next day. The results were perfect. The 4x4 front porch support posts were also deteriorated from years of weather. Kyle & Cody replaced the original posts with new pressure-treated 4x4s, then designed and assembled custom Cedar wraps that are very decorative and really enhance the appearance of our porch. This project was completed in less than a day. Although the total cost was somewhat more than we had originally hoped to spend, we are more than satisfied with the results -- we got top quality materials and workmanship for our money. A couple of times, when schedule changes had to be made, Tim called regularly to keep us up to date and adjust the schedule to meet our requirements. Once the dates and times were agreed to, they always showed up on time.

I selected Bellaren based on a combination of review score and proximity to my home. I made an appointment for Bellaren to bid on replacing approximately 1/3 of the siding on my home. Tim arrived on time and took measurements for the estimate. I was in the process of getting additional bids and needed to close on a decision, so 12 days following my original appointment with Bellaren I sent an email asking for their estimate. Tim assured me I would have the estimate within 4 days but I never received it. I ended up going with another company who was much more responsive. They must be busy I guess!

They were very professional and knowledgeable. They provided us with four pages of references, and we were able to review photos of recent projects they had completed. They completed a comprehensive bid in a timely manner. Though we've decided not to move forward with the project, we would absolutely consider them for any future remodeling endeavors.

Bellaren does fabulous work. This is the 2nd time I have hired them to perform work in my home. Kyle and Tim designed a new bathroom and W&D space for us. We purchased a new W&D from Lowes and Kyle even took the time to inspect the models on the showroom floor to ensure the space was perfect for them. Hire Bellaren and treat yourself to the best remodeling experience.

Bellaren has done remodeling work for us in the past, which we were super happy with, so we thought of them when we needed estimates for the flood repairs. They came to the house several times to discuss the various alternatives and the related costs of each. They then wrote up a detailed estimate, walked us through it, and promptly revised it based on our agreed upon changes. The estimate was competitive with other estimates we recieved. Unfortunately, due to the economic situation, we are doing some of the work ourselves and having a close family friend do some of the work.

Bellaren LLC is led by its two co-owners, Kyle and Tim. Their performance exceeded our expectations. Kyle and Tim arrived at my home promptly on three occasions to discuss the project before beginning work. They exhibited great patience in listening to our goals. My father-in-law, a retired general contractor, also met with both gentlemen, reviewed their bid, and felt very confident they were both honest and well skilled. Kyle and Tim performed the job professionally and we were very happy with the result. Although I was previously told by two different contractors my objective of lowering the grade and installing an egress window was two difficult, Kyle and Tim's found just the right solution and saved us money! We highly recommend them. In fact, we just re-hired them to remodel our bathroom. They have years of experience to handle any job, big or small.

Tim and Kyle impressed us from the initial bidding process throughout completion of the project. Their focus on listening to the customer, attention to detail and keeping a watchful eye on the budget made this project a positive experience. Their crew was always punctual and courteous and mindful of my wife's privacy (she works out the home). Kyle's finish carpentry skills was very helpful in making a great design into a beautiful final product. Their many years of experience within the industry and knowledge of building materials was very helpful throughout the entire project. We look forward to having Bellaren LLC back to complete our various projects we have planned over the next couple of years.

Bellaren LLC did a fabulous job on installing a new sofit over patio entry into our basement. The fit and finish were absolutely perfect. The new porch looks like it was installed when the house was originally built in 2003.

From the initial telephone call, Tim was professional and very responsive. We looked at several contractors, as well as considered hiring each piece of the job separately. We decided to work with Bellaren because Tim seemed to understand exactly what we wanted and worked to make the bottom line fit within our budget and be competitive with other bids. In other words, we trusted him and the trust proved well-founded. The process and result far surpassed our expectations! With one slight initial delay, they came when they said they would and worked until our job was done to our satisfaction. They respected our schedules and property, keeping dust to a minimum and cleaning up as they progressed. When the door was delivered and was different than we all expected, they took it upon themselves to make it right. Their subcontractor for the carpet was helpful in the selection and just as professional in the installation. We cannot recommend them highly enough and plan to use them again for future remodeling projects.

Job was very well done. Tim & Kyle were very easy to work with and showed a high degree of professionalism. It was readily apparent that they wanted to do the best job possible for us. Their crew was very conscientious and hard working.

Tim (Bellaren Operations Manager) responded promptly to our initial contact. Tim and Kyle (Bellaren Site Manager) were proactive from the first time they came to the house, helping track down information to assist us in making decisions about options for the remodel. One strong impression was made early on when Bellaren responded to our questions about a part of the remodel we were considering, noting that it could be done (with extensive structural changes) and giving us realistic feedback about the likely cost. Other contractors handled this discussion very casually (perhaps in an attempt to get our business and flush out the details later)? An architect confirmed the structural changes were not optional. Once we'd made our initial decisions, Tim provided a detailed estimate, allowing us time to review it completely prior to the contract meeting. We signed the contract prior to work starting. (Subsequent change orders were signed as needed). Communication throughout the project was excellent. Tim made frequent contact (on days that he was not on-site), both to check in and to follow up on any questions (he made meticulous notes). Kyle was available on a daily basis to provide updates and answer questions. He was happy to give his professional opinion when asked and happy to follow through on whatever ultimate decisions we made for the project. The crew (including Jamal and Mike) were professional, friendly, and courteous (to us and our neighbors) at all times. The job was paid for in installments and final payment was not requested until the job was complete and we were satisfied with the work performed. Tim made himself available to us when we were working through the details of getting the custom door package ordered, making that process much easier. They also offered to pick up the door, providing us with a significant cost savings from having it delivered. Once the demolition started, it was discovered that the original siding had been attached directly to the 2x4's instead of to plywood sheeting, resulting in the old insulation being completely exposed. After consulting with Kyle, we made the decision to replace the insulation in the wall, add insulation to the ceiling, and install plywood sheeting prior to the new siding being installed. Some dry rot was discovered (in a non-traffic area along the back of the house) and after a full inspection both from the outside and from the crawlspace, all impacted boards were replaced with treated wood.

Tim and Kyle came out to the house several times to survey the job, take pictures, and present the bid. We didn't know exactly what we wanted, but they were patient and helpful, presenting several alternatives and helping us weigh the pros and cons of each. They were also aware of our budget concerns and gave us some options to reduce cost. Once we agreed on the price, they got to work on the job relatively quickly. Kyle and Tim were always very considerate when at our home and cleaned up the area at the end of each day. Several time during the job we discussed and agreed on variations of the design so that we were sure to get exactly what we wanted. And that's what we got. A magnificent addition that we're enjoying very much. It was a significant investment for us, but we're glad we made it, and glad we went with Bellaren. As we look forward to additional renovations to our home, we'll definitely give Tim and Kyle a call. We were impressed with their work and have already recommended them to others in our neighborhood.

It turned out great. I'm completely satisfied with the quality of all their work. In fact, directly thereafter, our home owners' association hired Bellaren to do an exploratory search on an inside ceiling leak and they will be doing the finish work on that ceiling. Their finish work is superior. Kyle and Tim give thoughtful attention to detail. Kyle and Tim were easy to be around, completely trustworthy, and did a fantastic job of cleaning up at the end of each day. Kyle and Time were very thoughtful and paid attention to detail. I told Kyle and Tim up front that i was really skeptical of contractors as I had had a very unsatisfactory experience in 2007 with a different company. I was very gun-shy and untrusting. They were successful in restroing my faith. I recommended them to a friend and Bellaren just completed a great bathroom remodel for her. On every project they were professional, personable and comfortable to deal with,actively listening to my concerns, and suggesting creative and/or money saving ideas. I appreciated their input and that they offered options for my consideration. They also took the time to research and help me find products when I was stuck - that was a huge relief. The were knowledgeable, experienced and they stand by their work.

Plans, engineering and permit had already been attained. They quoted based on the plans supplied. The competitive quotatation was detailed and complete. All aspects explained very well complete with suggestions for improvement. Work was completed in the time period. Very careful attention to detail. Full clean up performed daily. Very easy to work with - on time. They did exactly what they said they would do. Project completed as per the original quotation cost estimate-exactly. Final result exceeded expectations. We would highly recommend Belleren to others and would use them again for future projects.

We knew the laundry space needed to change, but we weren't sure how to make it happen. I appreciate the detailed and creative ideas provided by Bellaren, LLC.

Kyle was prompt to come out and measure everything for the estimate. I got to meet Tim, the new face of the company as well. They both are very friendly and it was easy to communicate to them what I wanted done. I was happy to get on their schedule as soon as the windows arrived. They are very clean and laid plastic down for their walk path. What I am most pleased with though their level of commitment to my satisfaction with the job. They both went way out of their way for me. One of the windows I ordered had a defective part, and Tim was able to replace it under warranty on my behalf and replaced it for me. Kyle let me borrow his ladder so I could touch up the trim and house paint around my windows, which was not included in my bid. Even after I had paid in full, Kyle came back out to fix a small alignment issue with the trim that I had noticed. He fixed it right away, and after seeing that I was pretty sick that day, he climbed back on the ladder and finished painting for me!
