Very responsive, I defientley would hire them again

Kyle was delayed about 30 minutes with traffic. After discussing the scope of the job and budget, Kyle knew immediately he could not complete the project anywhere near on budget . He knew this in the first few minutes, but still took the time to walk through the house for about 45 minutes and discuss the challenges ahead. Kyle has a skilled carpenter crew working with him and they specialize in high end homes. He did recommended a carpenter and we also walked the house, and again talked about the challenges (I did not hire him because he was working on another project). I will get a bid for a garage/apartment mother-in-law at currently at permit application stage.

Made it clear from the beginning that they did not normally do this small of a job but they were willing to do this. . . took longer than they anticipated, but did not alter the price. Did a good job ..

Kyle from Bellaren was great to work with and his team was fantastic. They were in and out of our home for about 4 weeks in total and his employees were very courteous and friendly. They covered their shoes and did their best to keep the work area clean. We had a couple of minor problems that I brought to Kyle's attention and he immediately remedied.

Out of the handful of contractors from Angie's List that we contacted for a bathroom remodel, Bellaren were the ONLY ones who showed up for their appointment. Kyle was punctual and professional, and before he even came to the house to give us an estimate, we corresponded via phone and email several times. He wanted to make sure that, for our sake as much as his, we had our materials picked out ahead of time so that he could give us the most accurate estimate possible and make any necessary suggestions. When Kyle found out that I had family coming into town for Thanksgiving and that the bathroom he would be remodeling was our ONLY bathroom, he vowed that the work would be done before they arrived, even if it meant his team worked longer hours. Kyle wasn't actually present for the remodel, but his team was incredibly polite and professional, keeping our house as clean as possible while they worked. They were done when they said they would be, for the price quoted before the work began. We couldn't be happier with the work they provided!

Fantastic work. Kyle, Cody and Dan are the absolute best at what they do. The room was even better than I could imagine and the workmanship is outstanding. They cleaned up every day before leaving and were the best "houseguests" ever! I was so impressed with their work, I am getting two bathrooms remodeled by Bellaren now.

Kody, Dan and Kyle did a remodel of our bathroom so my 90 year old dad could use it. They did an amazing job. They worked many endless hours and cleaned up after each day. The work scopes include removing old countertop, bar top, backsplash and replacing them with new quartz counter tops, removing old sink and replacing it with new stainless steel sink. Kyle is very professional, he talked with me over the phone and explained detail of the work procedures before the work start, he provided me a detailed estimate with material and labor cost on it, this will help you to decide the work based on your budget. During the work, Kyle called me and personally on site to show me the sample quartz material and make sure the material and color was really match the countertop, bar top and backsplash with each other. There was a size mismatch for some of backsplash, Kyle came and quickly fixed it. The finished countertop is very beautiful, I really like it. This is my rental property and it was rented out in 3 weeks. One of the tour guest who works for construction company highly comments on the quality of countertop. The cost of the work is a little pricy, but considering the quality of the work, I would say it really worth the price. I will call Kyle again for future remodel work. Again, Thank you Kyle!

Kyle responded the same day to an email inquiry about getting ballpark estimates. He took time to hear what the condition of the building was and what we wanted to accomplish. He helped us to gain a lot of clarity around the project. I hope to be able to work with him in the future.

They are very good. It was outstanding, very good in walking us with the process of their ideas. Even in the quoting process, he was walking around and trying to workout what would work for our family, and I was very impressed with the quality. We actually ordered stuff that were less expensive so they won't charge us the higher amount because they are pricing the material separately. If there is something that is overrun, you'll be charge for it but at the same time if it's under run, they don't charge you extra which I like. We just pay what we're getting. We are already lining them up for the next work. The guys that they have are really trustworthy and I didn't have any problem at all leaving them in the house. They are really friendly family company. It's just amazing being able to trust them completely and walk away.

I contacted Kyle and explained the extent of the repairs at our house and we set up a time for him to come out and take a look and give me an estimate. I had done quite a bit of demolition on the inside to better expose the rotten window frames and extent of the water damage prior to his arrival so contractors bidding on the job would be better able to give me a more accurate estimate. The first appointment Kyle called the morning of saying he needed to reschedule, which we did. The second appointment time came and went (Kyle never showed) and when I called him asking what happened he apologized and said he "forgot". So the third time's a charm, right? He did arrive on our third appointment and I showed him the affected areas. He was courteous but began throwing around some very large numbers like: fifty thousand dollars. I explained this was way out of our budget. He also recommended we replace all the siding on the South wall of our house (one of the affected areas) because our existing siding was an "oddball" size and it would be too expensive to find/mill a match - more expensive than replacing all the siding? A week and half later we received his estimate via email and it was twice as high as our next most expensive bid. After multiple contacts by phone, in person, and by email he couldn't even get my first name right. I got the feeling early on that this was a job he didn't really want in the first place. If a contractor is going to cherry-pick his jobs, that's fine, just be honest about it up front to save everyone headache and valuable time. Kyle and Bellaren LLC have been a colossal waste of my time and after all that he can't even get my first name right. I would not recommend Kyle/Bellaren LLC to anyone. Kyle has a lot yet to learn in the field of customer service.

Went very well in the end. Contractor made a non obvious mistake early in construction that caused him to later have to move a doorway to make everything fit. He ended up doing more work than originally anticipated but kept our cost the same. Kudos to him for making the customer a priority. Took longer than anticipated, but was within reason.

We have a 1940s bungalow with good bones and an excellent location. We had Bellaren LLC do a complete kitchen, laundry, dining, and bath remodel. We also had them create a kitchenette in my studio. I?d hire them again in a flash. The kitchen in the house was tiny, and the dining room was small. Bellaren removed the wall between the rooms to create a reasonably sized kitchen with a nook. The house is old and through the years has had many modifications. Most of them appeared to have been performed by armatures, so the job was particularly challenging. We interviewed at least 6 contractors before we decided to go with Bellaren LLC. I liked the way Kyle engaged in determining/assessessing what he was going to have to do. He was the only contractor who looked closely at the particular problems my house posed. I felt that he had a good grasp of the challenges he faced, and was more realistic with charges. I was sure he knew, going in, what to expect with my particular house, and that I wasn?t going to get a surprise bill for something he didn?t anticipate. From the beginning and throughout the process of redesigning my kitchen, Kyle offered suggestions on how I could save money. He was able to see things I didn?t see, because I was so engrossed in the details. He made suggestions that helped to make the finished product absolutely gorgeous. His workers are incredibly professional, and they always cleaned up after themselves. Part of the job was to rip out the original hardwood floor in the dining, kitchen, & laundry room and replace it with travertine. It was such a mess when Kyle started. The dining area had hardwood with laminated wood over it, the kitchen was about half an inch higher and had vinyl floor. The laundry room was a little higher than that and had subfloor only that was higher than the other two. It all had to be pulled up. The guys were great. They set a large quantity of the old hardwood slats aside for me to use in another part of the house where the wood floor had been burned and patched. Kyle has really good ideas. He is dependable, honest, and very talented. He helped pick out the travertine tiles, and was very helpful when I was overwhelmed by the choices of granite/marble. He also has a great crew that does wonderful work. I would highly recommend Bellaren LLC for any job that Kyle believes he can take on. I think he?s very good at gauging what needs to be done, and if he says he can do it well, I?d believe him.

He was awesome. I have a trailer that I used to haul things and I couldn't even get the garage door open. I couldn't use my trailer and I was really frustrated because I was supposed to get up to Washington and get some stuff there. My daughter was there with me and she’s pregnant. This guy came out right away and fixed the other one which really just needed to have something set. He was really reasonably priced because I thought it was going to be really expensive. He had this really cool way of paying with my credit card. He had to replace with parts because the spring had broken on one and he had to replace one of my remote because I throw it. His price was really good.

We selected Bellaren from five competitive bids for our master bathroom upgrade, with shower expansion. Kyle was extremely responsive during the bidding and planning process, moving fast or slow when we wanted to move fast or slow. Kyle was also extremely helpful during the design and material selection stage. We put a lot of pressure on Bellaren to move fast because our bathroom upgrade turned into a fast moving effort to sell the house while the market was hot. The whole team was a pleasure to work with and they did a great job.

Kyle and his team at Bellaren were really good from the beginning of the project. Kyle did all the footwork on permits/estimates and when it came time to start the project, his team was punctual every morning. They came in and did their work as scheduled. We had a about 7 or 8 guys coming in and out of the project, but Cory was here the most. He was friendly, knowledgable, and worked hard. All his subcontractors were good too. As a Mom being home with 3 small kids....it was really important to me that I didnt have a bunch of creeps coming in and out of my house. And this was not the case with Kyles team. Whenever the job transitioned to another stage, Kyle would keep me posted on who I could expect at my house. They were great;). We are really happy with the quality of work we received. There were a few hiccups along the way...but all were taken care of quickly when brought to Kyle's attention. He always made sure that any concerns I had were addressed and not brushed over or ignored!!!!! But then again, I'm not an easy person to ignore;). Lastly.....Upon deciding which company we would have complete this project for us, we choose Bellaren because Kyle seemed the most flexible with what we wanted , he showed the most confidence in willing to get the job done correctly and quickly, and his bid came-in around our budget. Thanks Kyle for our kitchen....you don't know how much we love being in there now:)

Not well. I had to pay off his debts to remove a Lien on my house!!! I had a lot of angst with this project. There are many complaints I have, but I will talk about only one big one here. I don't want to go into details of the nitty gritty but I will say this and hopefully others can make their own decision. My final bill had lots of "additionals" added to it that were a surprise to me at the end and I had a very hard time talking to Kyle about it. I couldn't get an answer via email about the changes to the bill and felt harassed to pay it. Ultimately, I finally got him to come to my house so I can get to the bottom of it and I asked my realtor, who is my friend and understands a lot more about this than me, and Kyle lost it and screamed at myself and my realtor when we tried to talk about the bill. He really was scary and at one point my realtor felt he was going to hit her! He stormed out of the house. So I tried to mediate through the Better Business Bureau but he refused that as well and that complaint is still there. THE WORST PART...He never paid the total to the cabinet company (a bill I paid him for months prior). So the cabinet company put a Lein on my house. The amount was for more than what I owed. I chose to hold back a small amount ($1000) until some final things were finished. According to Kyle I owed more (again these surprises that were above what the contract stated). Ultimately, I realized that if I did pay him, it didn't gaurantee he would pay the cabinet company. So I paid off his debt to the cabinet company to have them release the lein. They were so relieved as they also agreed he was impossible to deal with and that their impression was that he was always right and everyone else was always wrong. I ended up having to pay more than I owed for piece of mind. AWEFUL EXPERIENCE! Kyle was always pleasant (although not always present) until it came to money and the bill. Then he was a totally different person, and not nice, to deal with. My realtor, someone who deals with contractors and the such all the time, was beside herself after Kyle stormed out. I really have dreaded writing this review and almost considered quitting Angie's List. But I realized these reviews are based on what we write and I felt the need to warn others. I just don't want anyone to have to deal with what I dealt with at the end. I'm not sure who the previous "A" reviews were from and for all I know they could have been from friends of the company. I'm not going into the other issues I had, this should be enough of a warning, but I should say that because of Kyle's poor communication with the cabinet company, I sat without a kitchen for months. No temporary sink as promised (although I did have one the very first weekend). As an aside, the two young guys that were doing most of the work were pleasant to deal with on a daily basis.

Overall they did a very nice job and were one of the more affordable bids on the project. The project took the better part of a month, but they did clean up after themselves each night and made the disruption minimal (at least a minimal as having a bath out of commission can be). The finished product was extremely nice and a significant upgrade to what we had previously.

They are on time, do good work, the prices are competitive and they provide good input and suggestions. They have done a kitchen remodel, built a single bedroom apartment for us. I would highly recommend them.

We had Bellaren quote for some work around the house, and when the great water damage of Thanksgiving 2012 occurred, we called them in to see if they'd be happy to help us with it. They were pretty on it from the start, organizing to start within 2 weeks. The work they did was done as quickly as possible with the least disruption possible and professionally. We did have some issues with the flooring subcontractors - Kyle was really on top of the whole situation from the start, keeping us informed and making sure the job was completed to our satisfaction. In the end, I am very happy with the work we had done and am glad that we had Kyle dealing with it - the job is amazing and he got it done. We are already lining up more jobs for these guys, in addition to the original set of work we already planned to get them to do for us. Our "will we call them again" quotient is, WITHOUT HESITATION! The guys were friendly and courteous, got on with the work, communicated the state of play effectively, and went out of their way to make sure we were happy with the end result.

I dealt with the owner of the company and he did a really good job. He was very punctual. He came down and gave me a lot of great ideas. I was pretty impressed with him. He was very thorough with his quote. The reason I didn't choose him was it took him almost a month to get me the quote.

Would not use this company. No follow through on the estimate. Not professional in manner.
