We are very pleased with the work and professionalism of everyone involved. From planning and design through construction this was one of the best experiences we've had in remodeling our 1920 Craftsman cottage. Always on time and easy to contact, their dedication to their craftsmanship was great - they wanted to make sure it looked good as much as we did. We will definitely call them for future projects.

We selected Bellaren based on interviews and cost estimates with several contractors. They had the right team and the right price. We are very pleased with our new kitchen. Kyle helped with the new layout and provided lots of ideas for our new kitchen. He also directed us to many showrooms for selecting components, especially the cabinets and countertops. He negotiated a great deal on the cabinets! The Bellaren team ? Kyle, Michael, and Kari ? helped us find the components and get competitive prices ? truly appreciated. Michael did nearly all the work and is a true craftsman who does excellent finish work. This is truly an accomplishment as our old house is not square or plumb.

We located Bellaren through Angie's List. Kyle was the only contractor that answered the phone when I called. This set the tone for the entire process which can be summed up as highly professional. We had a bit of a challenge for Kyle as we could not get him into the property to inspect the project before locking in the construction date as the home was in escrow. Kyle took the time and asked a lot of questions so that he could get a reasonable understanding of the project and advise of where the potential problems could arise. In the end, Kyle and his team and subs came in and knocked it out by our agreed upon deadline. As always in these types of projects, there were surprises. Kyle would talk through our options always with the goal of getting us what we wanted in the end product even if that meant coming up with some creative solutions to help us get there. We of course had change requests along the way and these were always met with a discussion process to make the change happen versus any frustration with us at any impact that would have on Kyle and his team to meet our deadline. We will use Kyle again and have already discussed a project to expand our dining area into our family room.

The coordination and scheduling around our needs was excellent. They came in and worked around us without any complaint. Communication was great. They instantly became part of the project team and we welcomed their input and ideas. In the end all of my internal customers were very happy with the results.

I did the computer work, my father compared and got the estimates. He let me know what he first liked about Bellaren was they promptly returned his call, made and kept the scheduled appointment. On arrival Kyle the owner of Bellaren LLC, and general contractor, was courteous and straightforward. He was patient and listened to my fathers concerns, and reassured him that everything could be addressed through his company and he would not need to work with several individual contractors. After Kyle assessment he was prompt in sending a bid for the work needed. Both my father and I where pleasantly surprised with the cost, my father choose Bellaren.The roof portion of the work was done by the company Twin Peaks ( please see review). My father said that the other portions performed by Bellaren employees was excellent. He admired their hard work, the companies communication on when and what they would be doing. He also really spoke well of the care taken not only on his home but also all of his property in the home. I found all of the Bellaren employees as kind and patient with my father as there employer Kyle, who kept in contact with both my father and I through the process. The ratings of excellent were in every way very much deserved.

Kyle from Bellaren, LLC was very responsive. I don't believe more than 24 hours ever passed after I submitted a question. Kyle was familiar with the work to be performed and was able to identify potential issues that may occur during the process. Kyle had the proper equipment (wand camera) to preview the ceiling area without the need of unnecessarily tearing through the ceiling. The work was performed as agreed and to my satisfaction. I intend to use him again in the future for other projects.

Bellaren responded promptly to all email requests and were very friendly and professional. In fact, during the course of negotiation they were able to respond to 2 different plan requests. There was no cost for any of the proposals! The first plan included a deck with a spa on the south side of my home - which would have required a great deal of earth removal work. The second plan placed the spa in the back yard. I would certainly put Bellaren on your list of companies to call if you're looking for a detailed well written proposal. In the end, we selected another contractor mainly due to cost.

I immediately went to Angie's List and got 3 Estimates for the Work, with my final decison going to Bellaren. Kyle Curtis, the Owner was AWESOME! I could not be HAPPIER!! From Start to Finish, Daily Contact was made via Email and the Project came on Budget and on Time. At one point the two doors for the Storage Space did not arrive on the day they were suppose to and Kyle went the extra mile to drive from Bellevue to Kent to pick them up. Bellaren is a Pheonominal Contractor, with Extceptional Customer Service and Top Notch Professionalism. There is a reason Bellaren 4-Time Winner of Angie's List Super Service Award. I WILL RECOMMEND THEM TO ANYONE!

Builders Ceramic tile-excellent.. Bellaren's in-house tile expert proved skilled beyond his years as the various jobs were not only professionally demanding but required his artistic adjustments.. It was quite easy to be wowed by the results Doors excellent paint prep, paint and installation of 2 pocket doors, two closet doors and three standard doors to bedrooms. All doors were new solid wood with decorative panels. Remodeling-General What impressed me was the step by step process of demolition, careful reconstruction and most importantly a very important architectural and structurally check of not just the immediate area, but joints above and below the impact zone, for not only immediate but long-term impact. Another important consideration.. basically in a major remodel.. the contractor makes the area, a work place.. with walkways covered, rooms taped off, garages become paint rooms..and storage for materials, backyards are cleanup areas.. what was great about this crew was the nightly professional cleanup.. when they left, your life at night can continue on.. you?re not tripping over ?stuff?. Remodeling-Kitchen Bathroom OK kitchen and master bath was the main event.. kitchen: this project involved removing a false ceiling in the kitchen, and refinishing to the standard vault, installing new lighting fixtures, then weaving new hardwood floors, installing cabinets, appliances, rewiring, plumbing and paint. They know their way around the block.. I?m an aerospace professional use to working with highly skilled professionals within their own disciplines, I expect honest professional feedback, each step of the way in order to achieve the vision that I had in mind before we started.. Bellaren was right there with me, the key word was feedback in order to make small tweaks that achieved major results, either aesthetically or functionally. For example, the site foreman in reviewing the ?shower panel? I had selected, determined it would not function as I wanted, result I got it returned before installation and got the one I needed. Another one.. the crew is very capable working with critical dimensions as the project had several upscale appliances that had to be placed exactly inline with counters, ceilings and ceiling vent they lined up all the stars to my satisfaction Countertops Granite, great job, got to talk to the guy that did the cutting.. if you don?t know where it comes from/how it is process.. just ask? I love granite as Mother nature?s choice.. they have an excellent source.. be sure to determine if you need a ?mirror match?.. Overall-excellent there were several firms I interviewed that were wannabe?s in the remodel business. Ie doing it as a sideline.. quote you a killer price.. just a couple questions and you know if you plan to stay in the home for any length of time.. a handyman is not an option(be wary of people your realtor comes up with.. 1st, they are handymen, 2nd, your realtor might not even know them.. you needed a name. 3rd, when you ask how does all the work and they say they do it by themselves.. then maybe an outside project, never in the house. Bellaren has a complete inside staff that will be working on your project incomplete an office manager that coordinates your vendors, returns, and messages.. great job! Price, no they are not the low price leader.. it is a ?you get what you pay for? activity.. the difference here is they are a coordinated group of professionals that work pretty seamlessly together. Quality: tile, electric, plumbing, cabinet work, painting and sheetrock. Responsiveness: excellent Punctuality: on time and cleanup before they left Professionalism: excellent

Kyle was a pleasure to deal with. His bid was not the lowest, but it was not too far off. He gave us a great deal of help with design, providing good balance of listening and suggesting. He accommodated our exapansion of scope in the middle of the job very well. While Kyle was somewhat "optimistic" on how long various parts of the job might take, he and his crew did an amazing job keeping the place as clean and livable as possible while they worked, making sure that we could continue to have the use of as much of it as possible.Kyle proved to be a stickler for quality. Several times he would inspect the work of his crew, find issues that I didn't spot, and have them re-do or fix them immediately. In the end --- we have a beautiful basement and a good taste in our mouths from the experience.

They were extremely nice. They were very helpful. The scope of the work that I needed to be done was very small for the company. They made helpful suggestions. They were just very nice. We would definitely call him if we decide to do larger job. They told me that they did large home renovation jobs. We had no problems at all. We would use them in the future.

We initially contracted with Bellaren to perform the bathroom remodel, but right as that project was getting ready to start, we threw in the work for the swim spa and deck. Bellaren jumped right in and ran both projects in tandem meeting our timeline perfectly. Michael, Cody, and Jesse were fantastic to work with. Very respectful of our home and our family. Both projects were finished at about the same time and a great job was done. There was one small hole left in the ceiling of the garage that was noticed after completion and payment. I contacted Kyle at Bellaren and he had someone come right out and take care of that without issue. I have more projects planned and will call Bellaren for all of them.

This was a big project with lots of changes that took over 6 months to complete. Through it all Kyle and his crew were great. We started with a plan to change our carport into a garage, add a workshop and mudroom, and remodel our kitchen. Along the way we decided to replace all the windows in the house, add a new driveway, and raise the ceiling in the kitchen, dining room, and living room.... Moreover, Kyle was aware of costs and worked very hard to make sure things were done right and at a fair price. Sure there were a few delays waiting for permits or windows...but this was expected on a job this big. His crew showed up on time and worked a full day...they cleaned up after themselves and left the job-site safe and clean each day. Kyle and his crew are very knowledgable (this was our first remodel) and they helped us with everything from overall design questions to lighting in the new kitchen. The results are stunning (please see the pics of the Moore remodel at http://www.bellaren.com/). Update: After considering the experience and the quality after more than a year we are less impressed. Basic mistakes were made and parts of the project were simply unfinished. For example, after raising our ceilings there was no insulation installed in the 'hips'. We couldn't believe with new windows etc etc. the house was colder and we were burning more gas. I finally had an energy analysis completed and found that no insulation was installed and our heat was simply leaking out of the roof. . . A second example, some the siding on the garage was not nailed or fixed into place. . .it has started falling out of place. A third example, after spending extra to ensure that our kitchen floor was level and strong. . .it ends up that there are ridges running through the floor that make the new tile floor uneven. Fourth, the insulation removed from the raised portion of the ceilings was just piled in the storage space above the garage. . . the list goes on and on. A final thought: overall we are happy with our remodel. . .but I think that many contractors see a number (how much you have for the job) and simply arrange the work so that they get it all. Working back and forth between bid numbers and hourly rates. When we use contractors now we bid for specific jobs and specific amounts. . .no changes. . .no more payment than what was agreed to initially. . . This eliminates? the contractor who subcontracts work, pays the worker X, charges the homeowner double, and pockets the rest.

They were great. He was very flexible. We were not able to take our cars out but they came out ahead of when they were supposed to and did enough to take our cars out. They came out a day or 2 before they had said that they would come to open the garage door and help us get our cars out. He gave us options on things we did not know and we appreciated that. We would definitely call him out again.

I had contacted him to check on a remodelling work that I had planned for my house. He seems to be involved in a long-term job right now and was very transparent about it. I really like the transparency and professionalism with which he explained that he cannot make a commitment and offered to work with me in 3 months time when he gets a little free.

Kyle is a very professional contractor, super friendly and easy to work with. He is willing to work with customer and is quiet budget-sensitive. He did not draw numbers from hat. He did careful measurement and tried various designs to find the best solution. He invited plumber to provide expertise and estimate. Even we didn’t end up using their service, Kyle was very professional in accepting our decision and even expressed his willingness to help out as a consultant. Our experience with Kyle was great and we would recommend his company to our friends and invite them if we need remodel to be done again.

Kyle was very responsive and very professional. He talked to me at length on the phone about my project and subimitted an estimate through e-mail. Very good customer service.

Coming from a long line of cheapskates, I was pleasantly surprised what they could offer with our limited budget. Kyle made many recommendations, some we went with: double sinks, porcelain floor tiles, and others we decided against: heated floors and tiled bathtub surround. Kyle and Michael took our bathroom ideas and made it a reality. They also included some extras to make the room look marvelous. They are definately top notch professionals. We had a couple glitches, which were immediately fixed and without quarrel. I have less enthusiasm for the plumbers subbed to do the repipe job, but again Bellaren stood behind their work. Changes and repairs were immediate. We already have ideas for our next remodel, and will definately consider Bellaren for the jobs.

The issue did turn out to be the flashing and Kyle got his roofing person to come in and fix it for us. Bellaren also fixed the drywall and window sill/mantle and stuck to their estimate that I thought was reasonable. The quality of the work was top notch. They matched the paint with the existing color and went the extra mile to get a quality finish when it did not match correctly the first time. I really appreciated the responsive attitude and courteousness while dealing with them.

The previous deck, porch and stairs where poorly designed and built and Bill from Belleran was honest and upfront about what we could do and what he felt we should do - I loved the clear and direct plan and the no nonesense approach. It wasn't a sales pitch, it was a solution and design proposal. He worked within our budget and did not try to sell us on more than we could afford. Bill was efficient and professional - from start to finish it took only a few days. It was just what we needed - it was a great experience and I will definitely be asking Bellaren to help us with more work on our house in the next year. Thanks Bellaren! Bellaren was very professional, thorough, and consultative. We requested time/materials work. Our only complaint was the escalated final cost vs. the estimate and the hourly labor rate, which seemed high relative to other contractors we have used. But we understood accurately the increase.

It went really well. All the work was done on time, and for a reasonable price (I had received other estimates for the siding work alone, so was very happy with the total bill for this project - had a lot of things taken care of). Bill and Will were friendly and professional, and made sure that everything was taken care of. Will be remodeling my kitchen in a couple of years, and will definitely give Bellaren a call at that time.

We interviewed and received estimates from 3 companies for this work. We choose Bellaren based on a positive interview with Kyle Curtis, the owner, who listened to our needs and designed renovations that met our needs. The quote was reasonable, not the lowest but much lower than the higher quote. During the renovation process, many adjustments were made to accommodate our needs and design requirements. This was remodel of a Condominium and Kyle worked closely with the Condominium Association as well as local government to expedite approvals and permits. Kyle's workers worked hard and were very quality conscious. Bill Spencer, the site manager was consistently asking for feedback on his work and was very helpful on anything asked of him. Michael Penneta did an excellent job on installing the entertainment center and TV nook. Cody Morgan did a lot of the leg work and is a hard worker. The projects took longer than expected due to delays in approval, changes in direction and some issues with the wrong materials being received. In the end the projects were completed by our deadline. My wife and I are extremely pleased with all the projects completed and would not change a thing. When there were issues, Kyle made them right. When backsplashes on 2 countertops were lost in the demolition, the backsplashes were redesigned with the tile matching the floor tile and pencil tile trim. This tied in the redesign better than original backsplash. We are extremely pleased overall and especially pleased with the expanded, upgraded shower and new entertainment center.
