Description of Work: |I wanted to have them take some broken and excess furniture when we moved. I thought it was a small amount but they wanted almost 600 dollars to do it. I sent them away and threw it into my pickup ( 2 loads ) 1.5 hour and $58 dump fees did the job. I understand that they need to cover their cost but the price they quoted was beyond reasonable.

Description of Work: Three men helped me tear up wall to wall carpeting. Tearing up was easy for them, but it was a large haul down an elevator, so that was the hard part. It was rather expensive I felt--$800, but it had to be done.

Description of Work: Removed furniture, 4-drawer metal file cabinet, misc odds and ends. They were great. Handled everything carefully. Clean and professional. Very polite.

Description of Work: Removed old sofa and recliner. Scheduling was easy and fast. Showed up on time - two friendly guys who took care of job fast. Would use them again. Great attitude - nice to work with a company that does just what they say they'll do.

Description of Work: Two guys arrived a little later then scheduled. But they were courteous to call up ahead to say they would be delayed. They were extremely friendly, and professional. And they accommodated me when I showed them stuff which was beyond what was covered by the $99 service I had paid for. I am very happy with their service and will definitely use them in future.

Description of Work: A couple of very pleasant young men showed up to provide an estimate on clearing out a basement/crawlspace. They gave me the price on the spot and that was the price I paid. I wasn't around while they did the work but my wife said they were very hard working and efficient. Did a good job, on time and on budget. Would certainly use them again.

Description of Work: We were hoping not to have to do this review with this kind of report. We have used this company many times with total satisfaction. They are a very good company. It was just this particular time there were shelves of old canned foods to get rid of in a clean out. They were right on time & even called to say they could come a bit earlier. As we could not do earlier, they were patient and waited for the time we stated. They were very nice and very professional. The problem came on the estimate. We had clearly marked all the shelves of items to be taken in one area & had the other area where everything was to be taken. We also had a separate pile of non-food items for them to take. On looking at the canned items, we were told they would have to go by weight and not by amount. The head person looked at all the canned stuff to be taken and provided me with an estimate. There was quite a bit of stuff. We conferred and told them to go ahead. They stated they wished they had containers to carry all the jars out, so we provided them with kitty litter containers. It was hard work as they packed some old boxes with some of it and had to carry buckets of the jars to their truck. They ran out of their containers to put jars in and we provided them with a box. A bit over half way of getting everything, the lead told us that he did not realize how heavy these jars were and they would have to charge us more. At this point, there were 25 shelves of canned jars left. There also were some boxes of store canned stuff on the floor which they took. We were quite distressed to learn that more charges would be accrued after they had already given us the estimate. We would not have gone ahead with this in this way if we had known they could not take everything. They were nice and knocked off the cost for taking the misc pile + took a ladder. We also had an on line discount. After they left, we contacted the manager to complain. He did offer to come and do the rest for half price which we did think about.. However, we decided that they had provided an original estimate and should have stuck to that. We tried to call the manager back several times and did not get a response. We also sent an e-mail to the corporate site explaining everything & never got a response. This particular experience is one that is unique due to the type of items. We want to reiterate that this is a wonderful company and we have always enjoyed working with them. They work very hard and have always been professional.
