Description of Work: It was a super hot day and our A/C was blowing hot air. I looked on Angie's List and found this company. My husband called and they showed up in about 10 minutes and had the problem fixed in another 15 minutes. Can't ask for better service than that!

+ -1 moreTo reiterate, he was very professional, knew what he was doing, didn't rush and fixed the problem.
Description of Work: We had problems with our air conditioning running at the temperature we set it at so we called Airco. The owner came out promptly, took his time to check everything and fix the problem, clean filters and do a general maintenance. He was professional and seemed to really know his stuff. We will definitely call them again and plan on having him do a complete service call for our furnace as well in another month. Also felt he was reasonably priced and he gave us the Angie's List discount as well as the senior discount.

+ -1 moreMy A/C was not cooling the house and upon inspection I found that the FAN in the A/C was not moving. I looked through Angie's list for A/C repair service in my area and read comments from Customer that used his service. I called Rick and he said he would be at my home in an 1.5 hours. Rick was punctual, proffesional, courteous and honest. He explained and showed me the part in my /A/C that needed to be replaced and why. He labeled and showed me the off and on switch to my AC and furnace. He explained the service maintenance for my AC and Furnace and savings in re-setting the thermostate. I scheduled for A/C coil cleaning and furnace for next week. I will definitely use this companies service in the future.
Description of Work: The capacitor shorted and was replaced, he checked A/C operation cooling on. He checked condensate pump (filled with water and pump moved water to launry drain), He explained how the A/C and Heating works. A/C coil needs cleaning.

+ -1 moreOur Air Conditioning unit stopped working, so I called Airco Mechanical. Rick answered the phone and said he could be at our house in a half hour that same day. He arrived at our home when he said he would, and got right to work in looking at the problem. The contactor on the A/C unit went bad, so he replaced it and had our A/C unit working. He was very courteous and professional and took the time to explain to me what was wrong with the A/C unit, and how the "contactor" part worked. I definitely will use Rick in the future. He was great to work with, very prompt, and professional.

Description of Work: Very professional, had to go into basement, to access workings, found a problem no one had before. In touch with me the entire time, so I cld feel ok about what was going on. ( I have renters) It was fixed and a good price. I feel really great about recommending Airco.

+ -1 moreWe scheduled ahead for my air conditioner for the next spring. The furnace guy showed me what he was doing, and tried to explain to me, I thought it was good. He was just very good to talk to me in my terms to show me what he was doing and explained by going above and beyond. I didn't have any problems with him. I called a couple other places and he was the lowest.
Description of Work: Airco Mechanical LLC checked my heating system, changed the filter, and put the thermostat in the system on the 11th of October.

+ -1 moreDuring the summer the pilot light on our furnace went out so when we decided to switch to heat nothing started up. We called one place and it took them 24 hours to call back with an assigned time they could come. I decided I didn't appreciate being assigned a time, so we looked on Angie's List. Airco Mechanical was a great choice for us. They asked us if the next morning was good, but I was busy, so they graciously gave us a time in the morning of the second day. He was on time and went straight to work checking and cleaning. He answered all my questions and gave me hints on cleaning and maintenance I could do myself. Then he blew out the pilot light and taught me to light it, in case I ever needed to. In all, it took about an hour and a half. The pricing was fair, the service man knowledgable and concerned with the safety of our system. I will use Airco again for our heating and air conditioning.
Description of Work: The pilot light for our furnace went out during the summer, so we decided it time to get our gas furnace maintenance done and the pilot light re-lit. I also had questions about the operation of our air system. They came and checked the function of the heating and cooling systems, answered all my questions without making me feel silly for asking, then lit the pilot light. Specific things: checked the function of the warming and cooling systems, taught me how to help eliminate mineral build up in the air conditioning condenser, cleaned burner, checked exchanger for cracks (none), tested for CO (none), checked electrical connections and thermostat, checked gas valve firing rate, pulled and cleaned blower-wheel and housing, and installed a fresh air filter. He also taught me to light the pilot light and answered my questions about maintenance I could do myself. He was very patient with all my inquires.

Description of Work: A/C went out on the hottest day of the year (a Saturday). Rick answered his cell while he and his family were picking peaches at Greenbluff and said he could be here in about 2 hours. He was. Very friendly and competent guy who took about an hour to have the A/C up and running. Excellent experience.

+ -1 moreIt went great. He came within two hours of my call which was important because its supposed to get down in the teens this weekend. I asked him to call when he was within a mile, so I could put the dogs in the shop which he did. He was prompt, professional, and seemed to be a really nice guy. He explained what was wrong, and what he was doing. It did not take long. He also tested the heater furnace before he left to make sure it was operational. I felt comfortable having him in my home (we talked about animals and basketball) and he did the job efficiently.
Description of Work: I came home to find the furnace not working. After trying the circuit breakers, thermostat battery, etc. without success, I looked and found this company on Angie's List. He tested the furnace, checked the electrical connections and confirmed that the thermostat was not working. Then he replaced and tested it.
