A/C went out suddenly. After reading several reviews, II called Airco and talked to Dave. He was on another job and came by immediately once he was done there, which turned out to be about 2 hours later. Fortunately the weather was cool enough I didn't need the a/c. He diagnosed my A/C, found a bad capacitor, replaced it, and tested the amperage, and the unit was up & running within 35 minutes! The capacitor cost about $150 and the service visit was $85, but I was able to use an Angie's List $20 discount. All in all, not unreasonable.

Airco is the best! I have used them twice and they are took care of the service and repair much faster and at a moor reasonable cost than anyone else I contacted. When the blower motor on the furnace went out, Airco replaced it, and the total cost motor, service call, everything was about what others wanted to charge just for the motor. Airco is not just my first call for heating and AC, I expect it to be my only call.

First off, the coupon expired before I called and set and appointment. When I did call no one was available to help me. They were going to call me back but never did. So I still have my voucher and yes would love to redeem it, but so far I have not connected with this merchant.

On both occasions I have spoken directly with Rick at Airco. First Service: The first was to fix a squealing furnace. Previously I had been informed by a big name HVAC company in our area that the problem couldn't be fixed because the the furnace was 20 years old and it would need be replaced. Airco stopped by and informed me that I just needed a new blower motor and it would only cost $350. I was also able to pay over the phone with Rick emailing me my receipt. I appreciate modern companies that have figured out how to use the internet. Second Service: After several days of 100 degree weather and no end in sight my wife received a call from our renters to inform us that the AC unit was blowing hot air. I was on my way to work when she called, we both feared the worst. The AC unit are about 20 years old and I figured I would be replacing it. I called my goto HVAC service Airco Mechanical, Rick answered and he remembered me from before. I told him the problem and he assured me he would get to the house by the end of day. As promised Rick made it to the house and assessed the problem. Rick informed me that the fan blade may be melded to the motor and that he needed to get it off to assess the damage. He applied some HVAC tricks of the trade and let it sit over night. In the morning he was able to remove the fan (thankfully, apparently it was a unique blade shape and would have been tough to track down). Rick replaced the motor, cleaned the coil and had AC restored to house before my tenant could wake up to meet him in the morning. Once finished Rick gave me a call and informed me of the services performed and was able to take my payment over the phone. Hands down my experience with Airco Heating and Mechanical has been the best I have ever had with an HVAC company. They will be getting my business when it is time to replace the oil furnace in my main residence and for any repairs or maintenance I need in the future. If you are continually trying to find an HVAC company you feel you can trust and feel comfortable with I suggest you give Airco a try.

In this very cold weather, the furnace wasn't producing heat, although the fan was working. With the house rapidly cooling down with 0 degree outside temperatures, I read the reviews on Angie's List and called for a service appointment. I spoke with Rick, a technician who took the call. He advised me to run through a few simple steps before finalizing an appointment, and told me would call back later to check on whether those steps had worked to get the heat going. His advice did work and I am grateful for this kind of service, care, and follow-up. They didn't charge me anything for the phone conversation, but I will certainly be using them for maintenance and repair work in the future and will recommend them to others.

We will be having Airco come out again in the spring to inspect and clean our heat pumps. Highly recommend!!

He serviced both furnaces and did a great job. He gave some input concerning and ac for the future.

We have an old furnace and new we needed a new one. The service man recommended a few parts to be replaced or we waved the replacements and will get a new furnace when they run their special. He said he'd shoot us an email when their special is on. I was very impressed with his knowledge and he spent a lot of time checking our furnace and explaining the few things that needed attention. Very professional and I highly recommend!

My experience with Rick of Airco Mechanical was fantastic! He was able to squeeze me into the schedule the same day we called, which was greatly appreciated with the cold snap that had started. What Rick didn't know was that he was actually a second opinion provider, meaning we had already paid someone else to come out and evaluate our furnace -- the other provider said our furnace was on its last legs and needed to be replaced (that made us very skeptical, so we decided to pay for a second opinion). Rick inspected the same furnace and found it to be in good shape, with the exception of a jammed air filter that was impeding airflow. He took the time to inspect several components, even checking the heat pump and measuring the coolant charge -- something the first provider didn't even check. He even leveled the thermostat, just to make sure everything was operating as accurately as possible. I am extremely happy to have found a trustworthy, knowledgeable service technician in Rick and will use him for all future service calls. He even had a $20 coupon here on Angie's List, which made for a great value (on top of saving me from spending thousands on a new system!). Highly recommended!

Everything was fine, except they would not honor their $20.00 senior discount. That was misleading, because that is one of the reasons we chose them. The serviceman said that the $20.00 Angie's Discount was the senior discount. That doesn't make sense because someone other than a senior could use their service. Would they say the same thing to them? I would probably choose someone different next time, because I do not like to be misled.

I live in the Seattle area, but my daughter's family rents their Spokane home from me. The heater went out, and based on reviews & coupon in Angie's list, I called and found a gem with Rick at Airco. He was out there the next morning (he did give me the option to go out at the time of my call with no added fee), and fixed a faulty control panel and cleaned up the entire unit. What I loved was he was proactive in keeping me informed at all times since I couldn't be there. Have found the guy I'll use from now on!

Appointment same day, phone call announcing arrival, friendly, efficient service and repair. Described the problem as he progressed through the assessment including how thermocoupler worked and why they fail. Also estimated cost of complete valve unit replacement if that should be necessary in the future.

Fabulous! Mr. Ramsey was punctual, professional, neat and efficient. He serviced my heating and air conditioning as well as our gas log fireplace. He was friendly and professional. His charges were more than fair and I would not hesitate to call on him again in the future. GREAT!!!!

Great service! Technician showed up a little early and was friendly and professional. He answered all my quesions and gave me some good tips on operation and maintenance of furnace. Offered maintenance program without being pushy about it.

fI purchased an Angie's List Big Deal coupon for Airco for a furnace clean and check. Our furnace was not only long overdue for a cleaning, but it was not working consistently. When I called to make the appointment I informed the gentleman that I expected further work to be needed because my furnace wasn't working, upon informing of this he made a point to move my appointment up to the soonest available as it is winter and cold! Rick came and assessed the situation - he was friendly, courteous, and timely. He did not recommend any unnecessary extras and when we ran into trouble with the old furnace later, he came out on a Friday night and fixed our issue. Our furnace now works better than ever! We truly appreciated his understanding and empathy for our situation, and his willingness to go the extra, inconvenient mile to make sure we had heat. We will definitely be using Airco Mechanical for our future heating and cooling needs!

Rick Ramser, the owner, did the work. He arrived on time and did not rush the job. He cleaned out the furnace and checked operations of the system. The heat pump defrost operation did no test. He was going to check the warranty on the part required for this issue and get back with me. He hasn't at this time. Rick returned about a week later when the weather was cooler and did the defrost check again. It worked correctly. Will see him in the spring for the A/C check.
