 + -1 moreA 3 man crew arrived early with coffee. The leader did an assessment of the furniture pieces. The crew moved very efficiently, padded everything very well. Everything came through without a scratch or dent. They set the furniture in place and even moved a couple of pieces to different spots. They were very friendly and intent on my satisfaction with all aspects of the move. They made what could have been a very stressful day into a pleasant experience. I think the cost was very reasonable and came in within a few dollars of the original estimate. I'd hire them again any time.

Description of Work: They moved my daughter out of her basement apt . There were 2 movers and a truck. They were right on time, dealt with the difficult stairs, were super accommodating and moved her stuff into storage and to new place in less than 2 hours (she only had a studio of belongings).

 + -1 moreWe had a great experience from start to finish. The initial contact with the phone center scheduler was quick and easy, and we got the date we wanted right away. The follow-up communication with the local office went great as well. The owner was prompt and courteous in both our phone and email contacts. On the day of the move the crew let us know when they were on the way and arrived right on time. The moving work was done with great efficiency and courtesy. We couldn't be more pleased. We're glad we found this company and would definitely recommend them to others.

 + -1 moreEveryone was wonderful to work with from the start. They got me scheduled for exactly when I wanted, plus lots of follow-up by phone and email. On moving day, the crew was not just on time, they called ahead to let me know they could come early if I wanted! They were very careful with everything and padded all of my furniture as it was loaded. When we got to the unload, they took the time to put everything in the correct room, help me arrange (and rearrange, and rearrange, and rearrange!) furniture, moved an old refrigerator to the garage so they could place my new one, AND hooked up and checked my washer and dryer! I will definitely use them again!

 + -1 moreThe 5 person team showed up right on time and, after a half hour tour and discussion, went right to work blanketing doorway entries and banisters, papering hallways and carpeting. They were quick and efficient and carefully broke down and moved stuff with no damage. They identified a headboard (made of particleboard and veneer) which was structurally damaged and notified us to that effect, then shrink wrapped the whole unit and carefully moved it on to the truck. We were able to get most of our belongings into two 26' trucks and completed move out and move in within the promised time (<8 hours). Only negative was we had asked them to remove and donate several large pieces of furniture and a TV to Goodwill, which they said they would do and then realized there was not enough room on the truck for these items. So we told them that we would handle them the next day ourselves. That was the only minor issue that we had asked for that they did not complete, but for us this was not a big deal given the level of effort and professionalism of their crew--even the 16 year old "youngster". Except for a lunch break, they all worked continuously from the time they got there to the time they finished at the new house. It was a life saver for us! Richard, the lead man, was courteous and helpful throughout the process and we would not hesitate to use "You Move Me" for our next move (which by then we will have worked on paring down the "junk factor" :)).

 + -1 moreWent great. A sideboard got a paint-transfer scratch on the narrow staircase, but it's a heavy piece and it's from IKEA, so I neither blame them nor care much. The important things were in great shape at the end. The guys were punctual, professional, and fast! They worked their butts off - I even saw them dashing about with boxes. They stacked my boxes of books in the basement in a pyramid, so that none of the boxes fell over or were damaged. Best moving experience ever, and I'm an old hand.
Description of Work: Moved all of my furniture down some terrible stairs out of an apartment and into their truck, went to my boyfriends house and picked up his belongings, and moved it all into my new home across town. Then they put a lot of the stuff - heavy boxes of books, mostly, down some even worse stairs and into the basement.

 + -1 moreThe crew was very professional and took care in moving all our household items. The move went smoothly and as quickly as could be expected moving from one house to another. They were careful not to cause any damage to our home when moving large pieces of furniture and never dragged items across the floor. When unloading at the new house, they work with us to get the furniture located where we wanted it in the house. We NEVER felt like they were rushing or just trying to get to the next job. Once the move was complete, they made sure we were satisfied before leaving. I was very pleased and gave each crew member a nice tip!

Description of Work: I was tremendously pleased with the moving services & the moving team provided to me by Vancouver, WA's ( & Portland, OR's ) "You Move Me" local movers . My team was headed up by the Franchise Member/ owner - a most friendly/ enthusiastic/ accommodating & hard-working ( as was his whole team ) young man- Robert Christensen . They cheerfully moved me from a third floor walk-up apartment, and into a second story walk-up apartment. I was mostly not packed up for my move, but this team did all the needed packing ( & labeling ) in a highly time-efficient manner, & made sure that all items were fully safe & secure for my move ( nothing at all was damaged ! ) . Also, all furnishings & boxes were properly placed in their appropriate settings within my new apartment . Robert's moving team took great care to avoid any ' wear & tear' on both apartments, & were especially careful in always keeping my two cats secure, & out of harm's way . The team showed up promptly, & completed all work well within their pre-estimated time-frame ( & were more than fair in accounting for, & in charging me for their work-time ) . I especially appreciated Robert Christensen, & his team-leaders great helpfulness & flexibility in meeting me at my local Costco, & in there quickly loading up many newly-purchased, bulky furniture items, & in dovetailing those multiple items smoothly into my overall move. They also most quickly & flexibly helped me, a couple of days later, in transporting a few items that I had to bring back to Costco for exchanges, & in my purchase & transport of an additional 2 items- so that all of my furniture purchases, & my entire move was executed in the most stress-free & quickest manner possible, & all for a very reasonable/ more-than-fair price ! Robert Christensen & "You Move Me" came to me with a high recommendation, but still managed to fully meet, & even to exceed all of my expectations ! II have, since then, recommended You Move Me, & Robert Christensen & his Team to friends in need of movers, & would most certainly call on them again for any future moving needs of my own !
