They are good and they do a good job.

I didn't use them because it turned out it wasn't bees, it was yellow jackets. They were very friendly on the phone but it turned out that I didn't need their services. They were very helpful.

The service technician showed up at the time specified. He did a thorough examination of the house, inside, outside, and crawl space. He treated areas around the exterior and in the crawl space. He also baited a few areas inside. He was efficient. The problem is, the ants are still here. At this point, I can't see that the treatment made much difference. However, the technician did tell me that it can take several weeks for the treatment to be effective, so I will reserve judgment.

Easy to set up with them. The technician was honest about the limitations in addressing our spider issue in the backyard. They even gave me very helpful and affordable DIY tips for handling the backyard. They did spray the house perimeter which helped out in keeping bugs at bay outside and in the basement.

The experience went well. The technician, Gary, always arrived when scheduled, always wore covers over his shoes so as not to track dust and dirt in the house. He surveyed the attic and indicated he felt there were mice there, since they often nest in insulation and create tunnels in it. He went about his tasks promptly, was complete in telling us what he did, what we could expect, etc. He baited both the attic and the crawl space under the house. He noted a crawl space vent screen with a hole in it that we should cover to stop any access (which we did). He returned periodically (every 14-21 days) to check the bait, note where he had seen activity. We couldn't ask for a better service. Problem was that the noises didn't go away, even after 8 weeks. And Gary noted the bait in the attic hadn't been eaten...so he changed it to a different type. Still, no evidence of bait being eaten afterwards. After watching the area, we told Gary we believed that we had a bat or bats, not mice. This was due to a small amount of guano collecting under the area we believed they to be using as an entrance to the attic. Gary agreed, and built a one way trap to allow bats to escape but not return (a standard industry method). It appeared to work, and as best as he could given the awkward space some 20 feet off the ground while on a 20' extention ladder, he caulked the apparent entrance (a space between boards in the roof overhang). The noises returned two weeks later; we suspect the bat(s) found another crack below the first one...it can only be seen using a camera to take a picture...you can't get your head in there. We decided to call in a pest removal service specifically used to dealing with bats. Bottom line is I feel Alpha Ecological is good at what they do...it just isn't bat removal. Mice, gophers, carpenter ants, sugar ants, etc....all likely Alpha does a great job. Gary is a professional in his approach and demeanor. We liked him. They just don't do bat removal well--it isn't their #1 service.

Easy to make an appointment. Good follow up and follow through. Email communication worked well.

Alpha doesnt have the long hoses needed to clean air vents upstairs in house, given that the spiral staircase was too challenging for porting their hundred pound equipment to second floor. so they were not able to clean teh air vents. Alpha is the one pest control company in portland that is intelligent, service oriented and hires good, trustworthy people. wish they would add long hoses so they could handle my job!

My SO used this company about 5-8 years ago so we had no doubts about using them for this new ant problem. I originally thought the treatment went great. They sprayed the outside and did inside work too. The tech said if we see ants in the next couple months, call them back and they'll come back out to spray again. It hasn't been 60 days and I saw ants last week. So I called them back and a tech came out. This tech said he was there to write up a new bid, not re-spray based on the previous service. I told him I was under the impression that this was covered by the last visit since 60 days had not passed. He said no. I called their customer service who said this second visit was not covered. When I asked her what the cost was going to be she said to ask the tech what it would cost and what frequency we would need. He said $70 per quarter for maintenance. The rep on the phone hung up on me. Why didn't they explain that I was going to have to pay again and join a maintenance plan during the first tech visit or when I made the second appointment? If It hasn't been 60 days, then does their product work? Why did it quit so soon? Why didn't the original tech tell me this could take several treatments and quote me for repeat visits the first time he visited? His telling me that they'd come on back out and spray if I see ants again seemed like great customer service at the time. By not saying it was going to cost me $70 each visit, I now see it was completely misleading. After making 2 calls to their office the tech eventually administered and quot;baitand quot; in our bathroom (that's where they seem to enter the house). He did this for free, which he didn't have to do, and I appreciated it. However, on the invoice the tech wrote a comment that I was and quot;not interested in maintenanceand quot; which again, is a communication error. It's not that I'm not interested in maintenance. I would gladly pay to get rid of the ants had they clearly communicated the benefit of the plan and guaranteed their products and services. They did not do this. It seemed like a bait-and-switch to me and they wasted my time. I recommend that you do research and get everything understood and in writing during the first visit if you plan on using this company. I will not be using them again.

We have been satisfied with their services.

It took a couple of visits to completely eradicate the problem as we had to figure out where all the rodents were getting in. However, Alpha Ecological was professional, kept at it, and I have not had rodents for several months. I have them on a routine contract now, to ensure the rodents don't come back.

They are prompt. They are willing to do other treatments if I let them know. I have them on a contract. The contract is actually for four times a years but I'm using them for three times so I skip one and they still give me a contract rate. The amount will be the same, if I use them for three times or four times a year. I don't know how to compare their price but I'm very happy with them.

They are really good in service of the maintenance kind, they seem to be really thorough, and I think they are OK. They gave me a discount on their price.

They were great. They were very professional with regards to the quality of their work.

Alpha has always acted professionally and courteously. The only "complaint" I have is that their prices are a bit higher than other pest companies but, because their products won't harm my outdoor animals, I don't mind and am happy to pay for their professionalism and consideration of my family.

They had great response time. The whole natural approach is what we liked about them. They were good. I liked them because of their responsiveness.

I have been satisfied with Alpha Ecological's services from my first phone call asking for information to the most recent monthly service call.

They try, but they are ineffective. They come quarterly, but the ants are still here. I can take care of them myself by using over-the-counter products. Their service didn't do anything good. I am not going to use them again.

When I called, they immediately scheduled a timely app't. Work was completed as promised.

Quoted for rat removal service needed here. Received really slick over the phone presentation touting their "ecological" services which in the end turned out to be just another rat poison bait box service but at a higher price. I initially accepted their quote but then looked for and engaged another service provider at a lower price for more of what I really needed to have done. Their sales guy was really huffy when I called back to cancel their service. My neighbor did engage them for rat pest service a week later which was effective but then they just abandoned their poison bait box at the end of the service contract. Alpha Ecological did not pick up as agreed to. I like their pretty picture of the frog on their trucks but so far as I know that pretty picture and similar advertising is their only "ecological" thing they really do.

I have used them several times. I did like them because the guy who cuts my lawn told that there was wasp nest in the lawn. They came out the next day and did the honey comb and some animal had gotten into it. They didn't charge me a service call fee which I thought was good. I thought they would have charged me since I made the call. They seemed to be reasonable the few times I've had them. They were very professional. They came out as soon as they could. They were very good.

The chemicals they use are supposedly very safe for pets. They are very pricey so we will not be renewing with them, but the work has always been good and they were always very responsive.

They were good. The service was all-good. They are prompt, they are thorough and they know the business. They know how animals work, how pests get inside, and what their habits are. They are very knowledgeable.

We have used them for 10 or 12 years and like them very much. I have a rolling contract with them and pay $99 a visit and that is if they just do the outside or come in and do the inside and the crawl space. They always do a good job. We like to use them because their products are non-toxic to us. They are good about using products that won't hurt people or pets. I am sure they are competitive because it is a competitive industry, but I haven't priced around. They will send us reminders before they come out, so we can get ready if we need to. We called them once with a bug problem and they came right out to take care of it. They show up when they say they are going to and do what they say they are going to do. We have no intention of using anyone else. We have always had good results with them, so there is no reason to change.

I contacted Alpha Ecological for a free estimate. The operator and specialist on the phone were very polite and were able to accommodate our schedule. Gary came out to do the estimate and showed up on time (within the 2 hour time frame). He quoted us for what we asked as well as offered us other options and let us know about other things that were going on in the crawlspace. Their bid was very competitive with other companies that we quoted. Scheduling a time with them was easy. The scheduler was able to get us in right away and Gary spent the day doing the job. Everything turned out well and we are pleased with the job they have done for us. They provided before and after pictures and also had an inspector come out to double check Gary's work and to make sure we were satisfied with the job.

First of all, for Ecological Pest Control, they did an outstanding job. I was able to get back into the project within an hour of their work. It was timely. It was efficient. It was effective. It got rid of the problem. I will absolutely use this company again in the future.
