The man who came (Eric) was very courteous and advised how the rats had gotten in by digging under the foundation. He actually went into the crawl space to check for damage! He found the rats had tunnelled under one of my support posts and it had collapsed into his tunnel. They recommended repair of the post. The noises of the rats stopped after the first week and my dog and cat were not harmed by anything Alpha did. I never did find any dead rats in the house or yard.

Alpha put out bait boxes for the mice. Within 1 month, we heard very little activity in the walls of the house. Within 3 months, we switched to a quarterly program, due to the fact that there wasn't as much activity. Then, we switched to tri-annual service. We haven't seen any mice or droppings since. They also controlled our box elder bug infestation. All they did was spray once, and they were gone. Over a year now. I feel they are reasonably priced, the technicians are very knowledgeable about everything from how to treat a vast variety of pests, to air duct cleaning and sealing. We are thinking about having our air ducts cleaned and sealed, due to the fact that our home is pretty new and I'm sure a lot of debris was left in the ducts. I would recommend Alpha Ecological Pest Control to everyone, who has a pest problem.

They arrived on time, were very polite, and concerned. He explained what he was doing.

THE TECHNICIAN WAS VERY COURTEOUS AND CONSIDERATE OF OUR HOME. HE WAS ON TIME AND VERY INFORMATIVE.

The service person was very nice and spent time talking to me about treatment of spiders around my house. Also pointed out points of entry where some mice may have come in during the winter, asked me if I had seen any droppings did a free inspection and told me what to watch for.

The Technician was on time, answered all my questions and behaved in a professional manner. I felt confident that the Technician was giving me an environmentally safe solution to our wasp problem. I will definitely hire them again.

The experience from the first phone call to the last inspection was great. I felt like the company was honest, from their reasons for pricing to the treatment that our home would receive. We felt comfortable and safe with Alpha.

I admire anyone who willingly climbs under our house, because the crawl space entrance is on one end of the house and the problem was on the other end of the house. Micah found a huge infestation problem, particularly in the far end of the house. He treated for mice and recommended monthly treatments due to the severity of the problem. He also said that the damage under one particular room was extensive and recommended they rebuild the crawlspace under that room in order to totally eliminate the problem. There was a lot of damage to the insulation and duct work in that one specific area. He encouraged us to go under and see for ourselves (no thank you!)and is working up a quote for that job. He even gave us his personal cell phone number so we could call with any questions.

Sorry Alpha, you are a ripoff, if I treated my customers like you treated me I would be out of business, guess you have enough suckers to get by. Stay away folks. The kitchen sink is now the local drinking hole for the Ants, after 4 months, nice Alpha Ecological!

I was not impressed with the person who did the job. He found several crawl space problems (powder post beetles, mice, drainage issue) and said that the insulation was not a high enough rating. He seemed to be adjusting the quoted prices to the degree to which I freaked out, but they still seemed very high. He offered to do some drainage work but when I called the office they said they don't do that, so he was apparently doing it on the side. Some of the information I got from him was contradicted by people in the office. As far as I know the spraying for ants is fine, but I have little confidence in the company.

They are nice folks, but we simply did not have overall good results. We have switched to a second pest company - and their tech admitted that we still had a lot of ants for a house that had been treated. The second company noted that the last two treatments had used a repellent only - ?? maybe that is part of the overall problem. I also wonder if their sending different techs each time did not contribute to some of the problems, as one tech did not treat some of the deck areas that others had treated. I am not the expert, but we still had ants, several treatments later.

They came and removed many ants, they even followed up with me to make sure that the ants had not came back.

On time, but pushing additional services. Ant problem continued - came out again within 30 day period for free. Went on quarterly service plan. Technician sprayed perimeter of house. Took about 5 minutes. Ant problem returned every few months. Waste of money.

We contracted with Alpha Pest Control to treat our home for carpenter ants. We paid Alpha a great deal of money to take care of this problem however when we were on vacation the ants infested our home. We contact Alpha and they refused to come out and take care of the problem. I had to contract with another pest control company to take care of the problem that Alpha wouldnt. I would avoid using this company at all cost.

WE HAD AGREED TO AN INITIAL CONTRACT, BUT WHEN THE TECH WAS OUT, HE TALKED US INTO ADDITIONAL WORK AND REGULAR VISITS. WE ENDED UP PAYING ABOUT 3 TIMES WHAT WE INITIALLY SET UP FOR. WE WERE VERY UNHAPPY, AND FELT THAT WE HAD BEEN FAST-TALKED.

Technician did the 3 visits as planned. Shortly after the 3rd visit I still noticed activity (fresh holes and fresh tunnels). I called Alpha. They only wanted to sell me more service visits; claiming that there is NO warranty on moles and voles and that is what I had signed on the paperwork. I complained that for $300 I never saw any relief in the activity. Alpha said that it was probably new moles and voles and they cannot help that. The $300 probably killed the original pests and I would have to pay more for the new pests! Who can prove whether they are new or existing? I think that the technician should have told me up-front that this could require on-going treatments; but instead led me to believe that $300 was enough. Had I known the real cost up front, I may have made a different decision. Now I am just stuck.

ON TIME, PROFESSIONAL, VERY CLEAN APPEARANCE, VERY POLITE AND HELPFUL AND EFFICIENT.

WE CALLED ALPHA BECAUSE WE KNEW THERE WERE RODENTS IN THE GARAGE. IM AFRAID OF RATS, WHICH SOME OF OUR NEIGHBORS HAD ENCOUNTERED. THE TECHNICIAN SAID NO RATS, JUST MICE, BUT THEN TRIED THE "MILLIONS OF MICE" SCARE TACTICS. HE SAID THAT MICE WERE NESTING IN THE UNDER FLOOR INSULATION IN THE CRAWL SPACE, THEIR RESULTING MESS WAS DANGEROUS, AND THAT IT WOULD COST $6000 TO CLEAN IT UP. WE DIDNT FALL FOR IT, AND CONTRACTED FOR JUST THE BASIC MOUSE BAIT. ALPHA HAS DONE EFFECTIVE WORK FOR US BEFORE. ITS TOO BAD IF THEY PUSH THIS EXTREME STUFF TO THE POINT WHERE NO ONE BELIEVES THEM.

THE FIRST VISIT WAS VERY THOROUGH, BUT THE FOLLOW UP VISITS WERE COMPLETELY INEFFECTIVE. IT SEEMED LIKE A SCAM. THEY DIDNT EVER IDENTIFY THE INSECT CORRECTLY, AND THEIR TREATMENT SIMPLY DID NOT WORK TO GET RID OF THE ANTS. WE HAD TO HIRE ANOTHER COMPANY TO SOLVE THE PROBLEM.

THEY ARE COURTEOUS. THEY ARE ALWAYS HERE WHEN THEY SAY THEY WILL BE. THEY CALL IF THEY ARE GOING TO BE LATE. THEY ALWAYS TELL ME EXACTLY WHAT THEY DID AND WHERE THEY SPRAYED. THEY LET ME KNOW WHATS BEING DONE TO MY HOME. I WOULD SAY THE QUALITY OF WORK IS GOOD. WEVE HAD PESTS AND WEVE SEEN THEM BUT THEN THEY ARE ALWAYS RIGHT BACK TO SPRAY.

THEY HAVE A GUARANTEE FOR THREE MONTHS AND THE ANTS CAME BACK SO THEY HAD TO COME OUT THREE OR FOUR MORE TIMES TO COMPLETE THE SERVICE. THIS WAS ALL FREE OF CHARGE THOUGH.

UNFORTUNATELY, WHEN WE FIRST CALLED, THEY MISQUOTED THE SERVICE THEY WOULD BE ABLE TO GIVE US. WE WERE TOLD WE WOULD GET A THREE MONTH GUARANTEE THAT THE BUGS WOULD NOT COME BACK, WHICH WE WERE NOT GIVEN. WE DIDNT KNOW ABOUT THIS, UNTIL THE TECHNICIAN SHOWED UP AND INFORMED US OF IT. THE WHOLE TIME HE WAS HERE HE TALKED ABOUT HIS FIANCE BREAKING UP WITH HIM. IT WAS VERY UNPROFESSIONAL.

THEY ARE CONSCIENTIOUS AND KNOWLEDGEABLE. THEY WERE THOROUGH IN THEIR ASSESSMENT OF MY PROBLEM AND THEY WERE THOROUGH IN THE EXECUTION OF THE PLAN THEY CAME UP WITH.

IN THE PROCESS OF CHECKING MY CRAWLSPACE, THE TECHNICIAN, NICK KING, INFORMED ME THAT I HAD A HUGE BIOHAZARD WITH MICE, THAT WOULD REQUIRE A $2800 BID. THE BID WAS FOR REMOVAL OF INSULATION AND GETTING RID OF THE BIOHAZARD FROM THE RODENT DROPPINGS, AS WELL AS, SANITIZING THE CRAWLSPACE. I CONTACTED 2 OTHER LOCAL COMPANIES FOR BIDS AS WELL AS THE OREGON DEPT. OF AGRICULTURE. THE 2 COMPANIES AND THE OREGON DEPT. OF AGRICULTURE TOLD ME THAT I DID NOT HAVE THE HUGE BIOHAZARD PROBLEM THAT THIS COMPANY ALLUDED TO. THE OREGON DEPT. OF AGRICULTURAL SUPERVISES ALL PEST COMPANIES IN THE STATE OF OREGON. MOST OF THEIR TECHNICIANS DO GET A COMMISSION ON EXTRA SALES SERVICES. ALSO THE APPLICATION OF SOME OF THE PEST CONTROL STUFF WAS NOT PROPERLY EXECUTED, EITHER. WHEN I CONTACTED THE MANAGER, HE GOT VERY DEFENSIVE AND DID NOT LISTEN TO MY CONCERNS AS A CONSUMER! I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY BASED ON MY PERSONAL EXPERIENCE!
