Ron came out and we went through our scope of work for the project. Within 24-hours we had a quote for the work. We hired him and scheduled the work to being the following week. Demo took only a couple of days. We painted over the weekend and scheduled install for the next week. Within two weeks out dreams were a reality. The project and Ron's crew were perfectly executed from beginning to end.

During carpet laying, we found dry rot on the floor opposite a bathroom tub (which was in another room). Ron was able to come out and inspect the problem right away. Then within a couple of days he was able to come back with a worker to repair the rotten spot. He cut out the rotten area, treated it with a chemical, and then put in a patch, strengthening it from below with a post. There was also a spot on the landing of the stairs where a similar thing was happening, though not to the same extent. He had a guy with him who did that repair while he was doing the other. They had completed the job within a few hours.
Description of Work: Repair of two places where water had damaged the floor (and in one spot, the subfloor) so that we could continue laying carpet.

Ron and his helper were punctual and professional. They did the work that we agreed on and did a good job. There were a few details that needed to be addressed at the end and Ron came back promptly and addressed them. He was a pleasure to work with and I would recommend him highly.
Description of Work: Ron did a complete bathroom renovation for us which included sheetrock, tile, wainscoating, refinishing old tub, new fixtures and paint.

If there was a rating above an A, Ron would get it. Not only is he easy to work with, but he is very knowledgable in so many areas. We have found it is far easier and cost effective to have him fix everything around the house from gutter repair, to weather stripping, to electrical. He is the type of person that, due to experience, has will offer simple solutions for things that he notices (but may not be on our list). To me this shows that he goes the extra mile. An example of this was that he noticed a loose door nob in our 1912 house. He asked, "Do you have a toothpick?" And, yes he fixed the loose door nob with a toothpick. He also noticed our front door was sticking to the door jam due to old adhesive from former weather stripping. While this wasn't on our list, he applied some plain old flour to fix that problem too. Simple, but we never would have though of it and it took care of something that was very minor but also very irritating. We plan on using Ron to do some finish work in our basement. We are recommending Ron to all of our friends!

We were interested in adding a non-load bearing wall to divide a bedroom into two smaller rooms. Ron was prompt, patient, and shared his own better ideas about what we might do. We ultimately decided against the job entirely, but if we do it again, I would absolutely seek out Ron.

Ron was very easy to work with. He responds to email quickly and always answers his phone. He was good at communicating what he was doing and what to expect.
Description of Work: Ron completed several projects for us. He straightened our old garage, removed an old back door and installed a new door and moulding, and lastly removed chain link fence and built a wood fence. The garage project took a couple of days. Ron and 1 other guy installed braces inside the garage after getting it straightened up. It was leaning sideways and looked unsafe. Now it looks so much better. Then Ron removed an exterior back door and replaced it with a similar door. However, since the house is 86 years old the old door was not a standard size. The new door was 6 inches shorter so Ron had to install extra shingles on the exterior of the house. The new shingles matched up perfectlly with the old. Lastly, Ron removed a chain link fence and installed a wood fence. He installed the wood fence over the concrete patio using metal braces. He was very thoughtful in making the gate and determining which direction it shoud open. The fence looks really great.

Ron is very professional, and is always on time. He makes sure that he has all the supplies and tools that he needs for the day, before he starts. Then he goes right to work. He had some suggestions for the tiling, and found that I had enough extra fancy tile to do another strip in the shower/tub area. He checked with us, and it was even better than I had anticipated. He made sure the floor was even and the linoleum was put down perfectly. He measured and centered the light and vanity expertly. He cleaned up everyday.
Description of Work: Ron tiled the tub/shower area, prepared the floor for linoleum, put the linoleum down, cut and put the baseboards on, installed the vanity and the vanity light. He also fixed some wall areas.

Prompt, high quality and very professional workp.
Description of Work: After my parents passed away we needed a professional to do a variety of projects to upgrade and improve thier home before putting it on the market. Ron was perfect for the job. I had created a laundry list of items. We used a different contractor specializing in rebuilding a damaged shower but once we started going down the list I discovered that Ron is one of those unqique individuals that can basically do it all. He worked on small electrical, plumbing, drywall patching and painting. We found him to be professional, prompt and of high quality. I'm not sure he is the cheapest becasue once he started helping we chose not to look any further. I'd actually use him in a heart beat - and probably will soon.

As I said in the other section it went very well.
Description of Work: If you are looking for a contractor that works fast with an eye tword quality then Ron's your man. Both my brother and some close friends had just experienced construction nightmares from other contractors so I was in no hurry to experience that, and I didn't. Ron started the job at 8:30 Monday morning and had my bathroom completed 11 day's later. It included demolition of the bath, a major floor reconstruct, tile walls and floor, replace the toilet and put in the sink, shower and all the towel and hand bars. It looks great and everything works well. I will recommend Ron to anyone I know that needs a contractor. Thanks Ron, it was great to get to meet you.

I was very pleased with Ron! He was prompt, there was hardly any wait to get the work done, the price was lower than expected and the work took the amt of time he expected. The moudling on the porch looks great- as does the repairs to the column, and the hand rail is now sturdier. I would definitely call Ron again! My only complaint is that my lillies got trampled in the process- but they were right in the area he needed to be in to do the work, so it would have been hard to avoid them.

Ron was the lowest bid I received. I liked him immediately as he was extremely polite, professional, friendly and on time. He continued to be all of these things during the entire process. He was always there when he said he would be and did an excellent job communicating daily, with me throughout the entire project, via phone calls, texts, emails and pictures. He started when he said he would, his bid was spot on, he was flexible when I wanted to change things and he was very reliable. He finished when he said he would (with the exception of one cabinet which was not his fault). I am thrilled with the ways the project turned out and with Ron as well.
Description of Work: Ron did two projects for me. The first was cutting a pass through from my kitchen to my living room. He cut through the wall, re-wired electrical and pluming, removed cabinets and rehung them in another room, tiled (granite) the new side of the bar to match the existing kitchen and sheet rocked, textured and painted. I liked him from the start because he was the only one of the four bids I requested who seemed to know exactly what I wanted. It came out perfectly, it was exactly how I imagined it and it looks like it is original to the house. The second project was removing a sliding glass door and replacing it with french doors. This also came out perfectly. He had to special order a cabinet door for me, which turned out taking over a month (this was not his fault, but the cabinet shop's) so he ended up even taking some money off the total price. I couldn't be happier with his work and I will use him for all my future projects.

Engaged Ron, and we started out talking about a simple patio with cover. However, my husband wanted a more finished look. Ron came back out, and was able to put these ideas into a drawing! He was very professional and very detail oriented. We liked the way he listened and incorporated our ideas. Working around the weather, Ron kept us informed via email, and via the phone with the progress of the project. The job was done very professionally and the work was top quality.
Description of Work: The project was the removal of an old concrete patio and the addition of a larger patio with a finished cover, and a long concrete walkway. The finished patio included four can lights, T11 siding on the inside ceiling, additional finished work around the posts, and roofing to match the house.

He actually did a diagnosis because I wasn?t sure whether there was anything wrong or not; he came out and figured out that it was not a problem. The work was for one day only, and the things were good as they were. He was very professional, punctual, knowledgeable and quick. He was always straightforward about what he would need to do and what he would need to charge. I was most impressed that he seemed to know exactly what he was doing and to have had a lot of experience. The price seemed like it was the going rate; I didn?t know any better about the price, but I did not quarrel about that with him either. I would call him again if I had a similar construction kind of work.

We found Mr. Wackerly to be experienced and professional.
Description of Work: We were concerned there may be dry rot between a deck and our house and when we described the situation, Mr. Wackerly said the first step was to diagnose to determine next steps. Some boards needed to be removed to diagnose any problem and it was determined no problem exists. The boards were put back in place as the had been. Mr. Wackerly quoted the cost and approximate time he thought the job would take and it was completed within those perameters. Had there been more work to do we definitely would have asked Mr. Wackerly to bid on the job.

Ron was great! He was prompt, punctual and responsive. His bid was competitive and he got the work done quickly, despite the holidays. I had some questions afterward, and he responded very quickly by email and then came back to make sure things were done right. My neighbor was upset that the fence was attached to his garage by two screws. Ron had photos showing that it had been attached there before he did the work, and he came back to remove the screws. The materials used were good quality. Keep up the good work, Ron!!
