Oh my gosh, I can’t say enough about the job that Ron and his coworker did. I live in New Mexico and this is my son’s house in Portland. Ron always communicated with me by phone or text and pictures after each phase. He also was in contact w Brent, my son. If I had to make a suggestion, I would let Ron pick out the materials. We picked the flooring and made the job a little more difficult. Highly recommend!

We found Ron on Angie’s List after receiving bids from two other contractors who had been recommended to us by acquaintances of ours. What a difference! From the very beginning Ron was responsive and timely. He also was respectful of our design choices and did not immediately dismiss our thoughts on our bathroom remodel (like the other two contractors had done). We felt Ron’s quote was very fair. It was also wonderful knowing that we could turn over a key to our home and feel completely comfortable. Both Ron and his assistant, Mark, were a pleasure to work with and we would hire them again in the future.

Ron and Mark did an incredible job. We had an unfinished basement and a garage room that had been converted but never finished. We added many changes along the way and they always accommodated us. It was a three month remodel and everything went smoothly. I can’t say enough of what an amazing experience it was. We added a family room, bathroom, store room and laundry room.

Punctual, experienced, easy to have in the house. Cleaned each evening. Had great suggestions for budgeting and getting the look wanted in the room. We did make arrangements for granite countertop installation coordinating with his schedule. We also researched and bought tiles, counter and fixtures. He had suggestions for vendors but we organized that part of the project and made the purchases.

Ron was incredibly knowledgeable and professional. I appreciated his creative problem solving and wood working skills. He was able to make my ideas and his experience come together into an awesome basement space. He exposed beautiful beams, made a cool accent wall with repurposed wood, and sectioned off living spaces. I love the new fir trim, staircase, and door. He was a pleasure to work with. I will definitely contact him again.

We hired Ron Wackerly to do a complete gut and remodel of our kitchen, including removing a wall, and also to do the finish work on a roughed-in addition for a bath and laundry room. Ron and his employee Mark do excellent quality work, are professional, on time, and on schedule. They have been doing this for a long time, and are able to spot potential issues before they are even revealed, and then work to come up with a solution. For example, our architect's plans placed a wall in a different location than it actually turned out to be located, which could not be known until the gutting started. Ron and Mark came up with a great solution that actually gave us more room in our kitchen on a wall that was tight to begin with. We would not hesitate to hire them again.

Ron and Mark were wonderful to work with. They were friendly, professional, responsive, and honest. They came up with a cost-effective solution for the space and offered us a fair price. They even came back to our home to look into an electrical issue and install a light fixture after the project was technically completed. We would absolutely hire Ron and Mark again and recommend them most highly.

We had an old, rotting cedar fence that was literally falling over. Ron and Mark tore down the old wreck and removed 3 bad posts. They set the new posts that day, and returned the next day to put up the new fence rails and boards. Finished in 2 days. The fence is beautiful. The new cedar boards are thicker. They had a challenge in that the fence goes up a steep slope, but they arranged it perfectly to match the slope. So happy with their work! Ron is very responsive to questions and although he is very busy, he kept me posted about the dates for our project. I would highly recommend this company.

Everything went according to plan. All done in a week. A very professional job. It turned out great, at fair price.

The project went smoothly. Ron was very communicative. I always knew what was going on which alleviates so much of the stress. He only works on one project at a time so he finished the project quickly in just over two months. He also did great work and my basement looks awesome! Check out the before and after pictures of the bathroom which was just part of the overall basement remodel, I would highly recommend Ron and will use him again in the future.

Ron and his partner were fantastic. They are very ethical/honest and worked with us throughout the project to make the right choices. Our house is older and nothing was really level or square in the space they were renovating. They knew from experience how to deal with this in ways I'd never have thought of. They're a very skilled and experienced, top-notch team. The basement looks great. I'll be hiring them to do "phase 2" on my renovation list.

He always does a great job and always goes above and beyond. He's a great guy who does quality work.

Fabulous! We had one hiccup with communication, but it was resolved more than promptly, and professionally. Ron was great to work with and next project we have, we will certainly be giving him a call! Thanks, Ron!

We started with an empty canvas and Ron was very helpful in brainstorming ideas for the layout. As the job progressed Ron kept us up to date daily with pictures as we were out of town for most of the job. As minor changes came up Ron was forthright with the potential cost impact (always reasonable). Ron kept the basement clean and orderly, and overall workmanship was outstanding.

We did not hire Ron, but he made several visits to our house with sub-contractors working on creating a bid when we had not-quite-ready drawings to provide. He was genuine and communicative at every step and his price was competitive. We ended up hiring a family friend, but Ron and his team would have been our choice otherwise.

We selected Ron to repair and refresh the bathroom in a 1926 NoPo bungalow. His bid was competitive, but more importantly he paid a lot of attention to the details when visiting our house for the first time. Other contractors took a quick look around, and took a couple cursory measurements. Ron was clearly thinking through all the issues that might come up in the job, and it gave me a lot of confidence that he'd be able to complete the job on time & budget. In the end we had a change in family circumstances that led us to cancel the project, but I very much appreciated Ron's responsiveness to our questions and concerns throughout the process. Highly recommend.

Great - looks fabulous! Ron is so easy to work with and extremely efficient and gets the work done quickly and exactly as stated. Projects that I have put off due to concerns with disrupting our family life were done so expeditiously - it's a delight to come home and see the progress and completed work. I have worked with other contractors who require excruciating detail in what you want done. I can give Ron my concept and he figures out the rest.

Ron and his assistant were great. Ron was good about giving us options to make the job affordable and still get what we wanted. My wife works from home so any construction in the house can be such a disturbance. They were on-time, efficient, and considerate. We were very please with their work!

Ron did an outstanding job on replacing some of the underlayment that needed to be replaced under the carpet. The damaged pieces were removed and the new underlayment was cut and replaced before I knew it. He also removed the threshold to the outside from that room and sealed the areas where the water might have been leaking. He also installed and metal kick-plate to the front door. I am very pleased at the quality and professionalism of Ron and his assistant.

Ron was amazing to work with through this project. He came onsite to quote the work and arrived promptly. We finally aligned on a date and he arrived right on time. Got to work quickly, finished the job exactly in the time-frame we discussed and the stairs turned out better than expected. A massive transformation that exceeded our expectations. What I love most working with Ron was: 1. E-mail/phone dialogue was easy, helpful and educational. 2. His quote for the work came in very reasonably and right in my budget where as the other two were outrageous. 3. Quality of work was outstanding from beginning to end. I will absolutely call Ron first for all future projects we have planned. thanks Ron!!

The new deck is beautiful and we loved working with Ron and Mark. The project came out even better than we imagined. Ron and Mark are craftsmen who are easy to work with - - a rare combination. They are trustworthy, creative, reliable and good communicators. Even when a wood supplier threw the schedule into question, Ron found a way to make everything work and to meet his deadlines. I also like Ron's proactive way of raising creative design options during the project, and working with us to create the best result. On-time, on-budget, and beautiful!!! I hired Ron to make some minor exterior repairs. He came right over the day after I called him and did the work the same day. He was courteous and professional, the price was very reasonable, and the work that he did looks great. I will definitely use his services again.

The work is excellent and I'm very satisfied. Ron communicated well, and was on time. He did exactly what he said he would do, and more, as far as finding a few other problems in the garage that he fixed without any extra cost.
