Was perfect very professional and onetime . Exsplained and answered all our questions . We will be using him again for all the changes we want to make to our new home .

Mostly ok, however, they did not run the new waterline where the old waterline was, had to pay extra to to get a tee installed to feed the sprinkler system and will still have to run a waterline. Other than that issue, the job was done when they said it would be done.

Work completed effectively and on schedule. However, cost very high. Paid over $1500 for a pretty minor job, including a labor rate of $150/manhour.

After about 50 minutes when they couldn't locate the leak, they refilled the holes that were dug and gave up. They apologized for not being able to find the leak, but that I needed to call someone else. Fortunately they didn't charge me for their time, but if they knew that they don't routine "find" leaks then why accept my request to locate an unknown leak? I ended up calling a company that they referred me too, but by then time had been spent needlessly trying to locate a leak that eventually was 4 feet down. By the way, they didn't check my crawl space because they weren't prepared to do that (i.e. didn't have any coveralls with them). I would think that those would pretty standard for someone who is looking for a water leak...??

My property management company disputed the $600 charge on this job but they only counter offered $50 discount. There was no details on the work, parts lists, nor before and after photos. Talked to them a few times on 50% discount so that they can cover their costs, e-mailed the $1800 invoice from water damage company, but they only offered $150 discount. Filed a claim with BBB but the case was closed due to no response from Sarkinen.

Ftom the estimate on Friday(10/28 )to the work compeleted on Monday(10/31)...evertthing done very professionally. Robert was the same person who gave the estimate and performed the job. He was efficient, clean and did an outstanding job!

Techs arrived at the very beginning of the time window and had successfully completed the repair in 10 minutes.

The plumber was able to fix it and it does not leak now. Though the plumber did a good job the job entailed replacing the knob. The cost for that was too much. I could see 60.00 but twice that for a faucet head was excessive.

Robert and his assistant worked very quickly and efficiently in 28 degree weather, digging out old pipe and repairing pipes and gates. I thought it would take days and cost me thousands of dollars. That was not the case. I was very pleased and amazed that they could be so cheerful in such awful weather conditions working in cold mud. I had needed my gates fixed for a long time and didn't know where to begin to look for someone to fix them. I was so happy to get it all done at once.

Summary - in Oct 2013 Sarkinen was hired to install a furnace in our home (back when they did that work), which included a 2 year warranty on the work. In September 2015 when we had our AC unit installed, we found out they installed the furnace without the required permits and it was not installed correctly. Upon reaching out to them about this and some pushing, they tried to fix it. It failed inspection (vent cut, venting backwards, wrong chimney liner), and left us paying for a large portion of the repairs ourselves. 10/24/2013. Sarkinen installed a furnace in our home without the required permits and was not to code. 9/24/2015. The City inspected our AC installation and told us there was no permit for the furnace and it was not installed to code. He said the venting was wrong, the insulation was missing, and the chimney liner was missing. I called Sarkinen that day. At first they said they don't do that kind of work anymore. When told the work is still covered by the 2 year warranty, they said they would send qualified technician to take a look. 10/5/2015. The tech was scheduled for 9-11 am and showed up at 1 pm. He looked at the work and asked me what needed to be done. I told him the inspector said the vent was wrong, insulation was missing, and the chimney liner was missing. He then called the inspector to ask about what materials should be used. I asked him 3 times if he knew how to do this work. Hey said yes, it was easy; he just wanted to make sure he did it the way the City wanted it. He then left for 2 hours to buy the parts and came back at about 3pm and finished the work at ~6:30pm. 10/8/2015. The City inspector returned and said it was done wrong again. 1) the venting was cut. 2) One vent was backwards, as visible by the air flow direction arrow on the vent itself. 3) The wrong chimney liner was used. The inspector recommended we not use our furnace stating it was a safety issue and could damage our chimney. I called Sarkinen Plumbing. They spoke with the City inspector while I stood there and said they would call me back after talking with the technician and owner. 10/9/2015. Sarkinen called back. First they wanted my copy of the contract to see whether or not it spelled out that they were to do the chimney liner. I told them that based on how they installed the furnace, a chimney liner was required by Code. Second they were upset that the inspection was rescheduled and wanted to discuss that with the City. Not that it's relevant, but I told them the City scheduled it prior to speaking with me so it had to be rescheduled for when I was could be home. Then Sarkinen said their tech hadn't gotten back to them and all they had was my word that it wasn't done right. I pointed out they spoke with the City inspector's, plus the inspection slip stating corrections were needed. I told them they need to send a professional HVAC person to come out and do the job right or reimburse us to do it. They again needed to get back to me. 10/12/2015. Sarkinen emailed back. They said "what we are offering is that you hire a company to take care of the backwards venting portion only, whichever company you prefer, and when work is completed we will go 50/50 for the venting portion." They argued that the chimney liner wasn't in their scope so they won't pay for it (even though it's required by Code based on how they chose to install the furnace.) 10/14/15. After 17 hours of my time making phone calls and waiting around for people to fix the problem I found another company to repair it. The other company fixed it in a little over an hour, including the insulation that had mostly fallen off after only 3 days, and passed inspection. I sent them the bill and they paid for only 50% of the repairs (after sending 3 emails due to no response requesting payment) to bring their furnace installation to code.

It's been a year since Sarkinen replaced our whole house filter system, and our problems with iron and sediment are as bad as they were before Sarkinen's work. Even worse, they have been completely unresponsive!!! They never followed up on their commitment to get us copies of the water tests they had done on our system, and we had to call for the follow up inspection, which was essentially useless. The plumber didn't even follow through on his commitment to find out how to get a replacement UV bulb until after my husband called them. He finally called back today -- more than 2 weeks after he was here. In the meantime, we contacted the company (Aquasana) that makes the whole house water filter Sarkinen installed, and they told us there is no record in their system of our purchase, and no record that Sarkinen purchased the system. Bottom line -- Sarkinen doesn't follow through to make sure their products work as expected, didn't bother to inform the manufacturer about the product they purchased and installed so that we would be covered by the manufacturer's warranty, never provided the test results we requested in spite of repeated requests. We've come to the conclusion we were the victums of a scam... sold a product we probably didn't need, and the iron filter system that was in our home (the Sarkinen plumber removed) likely only needed to have the media refreshed. Some of the work Sarkinen did was good -- replacing the line from our well to house and cleaning up the installation was a good idea, although it didn't resolve the reason we called them in the first place. I suspect we didn't really need to replace everything... an expensive lesson to be sure! I am disappointed in the unprofessional manner in which Sarkinen plumbing has treated us.

We have used Sarkinen Plumbing a few times now and always find them very reasonably priced and easy to work with on projects.

The plumber scheduled with the tenant to repair a toilet. He called me and gave me a quote and said that he had to get parts. He called later and said that he couldn't get the parts. He offered to do a new toilet for the same amount. He did put in the new toilet. I didn't get a bill for a long time (several weeks). When i finally got a bill, it was substantially more than the amount quoted. I talked to the bookkeeper, who agreed and promised to send a new bill. This took nearly a week. When the corrected bill did come, it took several weeks of phone calls to talk to someone who was able to take my credit card payment.

received call 15 minutes before appointment to reschedule since technician had called in ill. This is two for two that they have cancelled an appointment made a week in advance at the last minute. I have been impressed with the work done in the past, but I can't afford to take time off from work and have them not meet the scheduled appointment. It also did not seem to matter to the office that I had an ongoing relationship with the company. no sense that they value ongoing relationships. unfortunately I will now spend today trying to find a different plumber. I

It went fine they did a good job. But I did feel like it was kind of expensive.

Water was seeping through a bedroom ceiling, and had done extensive damage when we found it. We immediatel called several plumbers off Angie's List, Sarkinen offered to come almost immediatley. Two people showed up within the hour, they quicky identified the water line to the ice maker in the fridge was broken. This is the 3rd time this water line has broken in 9 years. The previous two times they were worked on both plumbers expressed the difficulty of accessing the lines and the plumbing being unusual. Dylan said something about the design being substandard and that we would take it all out and correct the whole set-up so it would not break again. He replumbed it from the outlet, installed all copper tubing and replaced all the lines with braided lines. We have compelted confidence the core issue is corrected and the line will not break again. We were SO impressed with the workmanship, knowledge and professional attitude of the Sarkinen. We highly recommend them to anyone and will use them on any future project. Sarkinen also called a company they work with to assess the water damage adn give a bid on restoration. This went from a very stressful siutation to being undercontrol, and at a much less cost than we feared. THANK YOU Angies List for helping us find fine craftsman in a time of urgent need! We are THRILLED with the service from Sarkinen.

They were excellent. I can't remember the guy's name, but very good. They were excellent. The house was built in 1954 and we had to replace a shower valve, so old house, but he got the problem solved. He was just professional and very thorough. I had a tile, he had to cut in the tile and got that fixed. I would definitely use him again if I had a plumbing issue.

I called and said that we had a major leak somewhere but didn't know what was causing it. They wanted to send someone in 3 days. I had to stress that this was an emergency. When I got my point across, they sent someone in just a few hours. He quickly found the leak and shut it off.

First of all Kelly whom I spoke to ( I had sent a message the day before via this site) listened to what I said, and then said: I can have someone out TODAY!! between 3 and 5 PM(this was around noon) anyway I said great. I asked that whoever was coming to call first as I have a large German Shepherd and wanted to make sure he was secured. Dylan called twice.....once leaving from Vancouver, and then again when he was just about 5 mins. out. I had had everything ready for him( water turned off) .He was so professional respectful and courteous the time he was here. I have a nearly 100 year old house, and what I wanted was a replacement of an original faucet installed. He said he had never seen one like that, but knew he could install it. He did it in record time! I will in the future need some more plumbing services, and I asked him for his card, as there is no need for me to call on anyone else!

Waited 5 hours for plumber to come but it was a Sunday and he was already stuck at a much more involved job. When he got there he was efficient, courteous and repaired everything well.

Friendly and prompt. But outrageous price. $600.00 to change out 2 toilets????

We woke up this morning to a warped wood floor in our kitchen and a wet dining room carpet that was getting wetter as we watched. We didn't know what was causing the problem, but believed we needed a plumber quickly. Because of Sarkinen's Angie's List record, we called early as one of the reviews suggested. I called shortly after 7 am and was a little bit surprised when I got an answering service gentleman who stated that they would begin returning calls at 8am. I communicated the immediacy of the issue and he asked questions so that he could be accurate about what we needed. Then I waited. . .. At 10am, I still had not heard anything, and the water problem was getting worse, so I called to see if perhaps the phone number has been transcribed inorrectly. The person who I spoke with said she was sorry - they hadn't really gotten around to looking at their messages yet today. When I explained that I felt the problem was somewhat urgent, she said that they really didn't have much time today but perhaps could come tomorrow. I told her that wouldn't be good enough and I would find another service. She then offered to put me on a cancellation list in case something came up. Fortunately I was able to find somebody who came as soon as he finished his current job. I feel that it would have been more professional to answer the emergent call and just say so if were unable to help. I won't be calling again.

The young man that did the work was excellent. His name was Robert and he was on time, knew his business, was very good about articulating to ask what the job was going to entail and what he was going to do and the cost of it that he came to was we were very satisfied with that. And also when the inspector came out to inspect the plumbing job and we told him who had done it, the particular person who had done it, he said "Oh yes, I have never once seen a problem with any of his work, he is very good." I would give him a very highly grades all the way across. I would use this provider again in the future.

They were do to start someplace between 1:30 and 3:30. The were able to start the job before then and as a result the whole job was completed by 2:20. They just left and I can't be more pleased by the result. If you need any plumbing help, do yourself a favor and call Sarkinen Plumbing. They truly are the best.

This company was very responsible. Call earlier in the morning and they were onsite by 9 AM the same day. They knew absolutely what to do, how to finish the job quickly and were very pleasant and professional. I had waited for another plumbing outfit for over 2 weeks when I called these folks. I would use them again without question.
