Green Choice drives at least 25 miles to service us. We have been using them for about 2 years. We started using them because we had a mice problem, about 2 years ago. We spent about $5000 to replace all the insulation in a brand new home. We used "green" echo friendly insulation. That is what happens when you build a house next to a field. I am not very good about making sure I call them every month to come out. We will continue with their services.

They are doing very well. I was desperate and I looked in the phone book and found them. They were very prompt and professional. They were also very thorough. Everything was excellent with them. I will absolutely continue to use them.

There were 2 guys who came out to give us an estimate and started the work. He came down on his price when we had a second quote. We like his attitude and professionalism. He was very nice and explained everything to us really well. They came out right away.

They've been fine. The quality of the work is good.

I have children so I was concerned about the safety of the application but they assured me it was safe and they did a really good job. I didn't notice any spiders in the house after the provided service. They put me on a recurring plan that I was unaware of so I had to tell them to cancel after they came out to provide service without asking. I would still use them again in the future. They did good work.

If I need such services in the future, I will definitely call Green.

It was a good experience, from the first phone call, to the service performed. We would use them again, and recommend them.

The project went, and is going, very well...I hired them to do bimonthly pest management as well. I am astounded by the customer service that is provided, by all concerned, but especially by Jordan and Eric. I would highly recommend this company.

I used Green Choice last year and was very happy with the service and price (~$160 for 5-6 wasp nests and $99 for mice treatment), so I called them again this year. I had less nests to be removed (2-3), but one was still on the top of the third story of my townhouse. I advised them over the phone of the nest location and asked that they bring a ladder to reach the nest as they did the year before. Jake arrived on time on 8/24/2011 and I showed him 3 wasps nests that needed removing. One nest wasn't really a nest, but a wet spot that did not need treatment, leaving 2 nests. Jake indicated he could remove one nest for $99. but that he could not reach one of the nests at the top of the third story. He also indicated that even if he could get a ladder and come back, he would be charging me much more (~$150) for just that nest, almost doubling the price compared to last year. He removed most of one nest and I paid him for that ($99 + tax). A few days later, I called the office and talked to Jordan about the technician not coming to the house with adequate tools to reach the top nest and also wanting to charge me significantly more to do less work than was done the year before. Jordan indicated he would send someone out to remove the upper nest and would charge me $80 for that nest removal. I agreed to the price and service. On 8/31/2011, I got a call from Jordan indicating Jake was unable to reach the nest. I followed up on 9/1/2011 and saw that Craig arrived and was able to remove the nest.

They came out on time and were very courteous. They used eco-friendly pesticide and did a careful job, as I have a small kid at home. I liked their services and will use the same in future.

The guy checked the perimeter of the house and found a few screens that needed repair. Didn't really check in the house. Went into crawlspace. When he came out, he proceeded to tell me that there were major problems with my crawlspace - over and above mice. He said there was over 1 foot of water in my crawlspace, my sump pump was underwater and not working, a trench was needed, the pilings were in danger of rotting, insulation was needed, etc. He said there were costs for disposing of hazardous waste (mouse droppings), all sorts of other things were added on. He took pictures and showed them to me. Can't say that I really saw what he was saying. The housing development I live in is built on a gradual slope and I am the second house before the bottom. Water does accumulate which is why I have a sump pump. If it rains hard and continuously, there will be more water. The house is only 6 years old. Their quote for the mice extermination (a 2-year contract) and the crawlspace "renovation" was $5000 and approximately half of that was for the mouse problem. I decided to have a couple of other company's (exterminators and crawlspace renovations) come out and take a look - neither found what this company said was present. Also had one of the guys that works for the company that built the subdivision take a look. He didn't find this type of damage either. This company did do the consultation for free and could be very good; however, I did not use them.

I haven't had a problem since. They took pictures of the area in the crawlspace to show us how bad the problem was since we weren't aware. They gave us an estimate for how much it would be to get rid of the carcasses and change the lining and dump the hazardous waste. They also put bait around the house outside. Then we saw one mice and they took care of it and didn't charge me. I would highly recommend them. He was a little bit late, but he was very professional and it was his first time. The price was good for all the work they had to do.

Eric arrived and surveyed the wasps nests and the areas where I've seen mice. He searched for locations where mice may get into the house also. He gave recommendations for treatment and we negotiated what services I wanted completed today - remove wasp nests and place 2 mice traps. Eric worked professionally, safely (it's a 3 story townhouse), and efficiently. The work was done in a timely manner and he had good suggestions for preventative services.

It is a rare occurrence to come across an organization not blinded by the unyielding desire to follow the rules of economic distribution. Traditionally, the enterprise of all organizations today strive to accomplish only one goal, maximize profit. It is my premise that Green Choice Pest Control does not fall amiss into the mold of corporations today. After an unnerving encounter with a mouse one morning I searched the internet for an ecologically considerate company who would be able to quickly liberate me from the eerie situation this rodent had left me in. Green Choice Pest control sent a technician out within two hours. The person on the phone consoled my nerves and let me know what actions I could take to render the situation more tolerable. The gentleman from Green Choice showed up on my front doorstep soon after. I was relieved to know a trained expert was taking care of the issue I didn’t dare inspect. The technician found many flaws the home inspector who had been to my home just months earlier had overlooked. Mice had subdued my home. Quotes from other companies summed to more than four times what I paid with Green Choice. I was advised of many home ‘remedies,’ if you will, that would eliminate the issue and all the while not risk the happenstance of an interaction with these intrusive creatures. The technician’s informative know-how brought to light the dangers of the infestation at hand. They were able to correct this contention the very same day and my family and I are no longer at risk of the harmful diseases that can transmit from rodents to humans with ease. I would recommend this company to anyone who wants to be treated with genuine kindness.

I just purchased my home and moved into it and was not even done unpacking, when I realized there was a rodent issue based on what I saw underneath my kitchen sink (fortunately, no actual mice). I also had seen some carpenter ants on my deck and knew that this something I would have to treat for regularly based on my conversation with my home inspector and backing up to greenspace. Prior to joining Angie's list, I did some online research and based on some posiitve reviews contacted the company. The person on the phone didn't seem able to answer some basic questions, which was a little strange but since I knew they would send out a technician for a free quote I wasn't overly concerned. They were able to send someone out later that afternoon. The technician showed up a little early and I explained the issue to him. I told him I had just moved in and was broke, having just purchased a house and not anticipating this type of issue 2 weeks after moving in. I showed him the evidence in my kitchen, deck, and showed him the crawlspace access in the garage and off the master bedroom. He donned on protective gear and in my crawlspace he went. He said it was bad in there and would go write up a quote. I reminded him I was broke and I didn't like the sound of it. He came back inside my house a short while later and gave me a quote of over $2000. He said I needed a new vapor barrier in my crawlspace and it was considered hazardous waste and the whole area would need to be decontaminated. They would treat for carpenter ants and mice and fill the holes in and fix the screen in the crawlspace. He said it was my call, and I could do as little or as much as I wanted and it didn't matter to him but I would be breathing in all of this stuff from my crawlspace. He explained to me that the mice feces and urine were making my insulation sag. I told him this was really surprising given that I had the house inspected prior to purchasing it and this was something the inspector should have noted. He told me the quote was good for 30 days and he knew it was a big decision. One other thing he said was that he liked working for this company better than others he worked for because they paid better. Not surprising given their upselling. In any case, I joined Angie's List and got a 2nd opinion and the other person had the company and their tactics pegged from the get go. I threw away the quote and would not recommend this company. UPDATE: After my initial report was posted, the company contacted me wanting to make it right and apologized that my experience did not go well. He offered to come out and do an additional inspection which I declined. Even though I stand by my initial report, I appreciate that they attempted to make my experience better.

The work was completed in one day and they left everything clean.
