DIETZ HOME IMPROVEMENTS

We had Shaun rebuild a small deck. He replaced the joists and installed a new deck surface in two days as planned. He installed the Veranda composite deck boards we purchased at Home Depot. It is a hidden fastener type product and Shaun did a great job. We used him for a second small project to replace a dozen fence posts, fence gate, and fence trim. Again, Shaun and his crew did exactly as asked/promised. The thing we liked best - he does what he says he will do! Shows up as scheduled for site visit and provided a bid in a day or two. Then they showed up as scheduled for the work and they get it done. He is honest and does solid work that exceeded our expectations. I would highly recommend him for your next project. Thanks Shaun!

After having our heating vents cleaned and having a dryer vent diagnosed as having a leak, Shaun Dietz--who has done several other jobs for us--came and we decided that in addition to fixing the dryer vent, he would also replace some sheet rock that had some water damage. The next day he came with his helper and within a short period of time they had moved the washer and dryer, removed the old sheet rock, rerouted the dryer vent and put up new sheet rock. By the time they were done, it was like new, nicely cleaned and ready to go. A big thanks to the professional way they always work.

I chose because of the amount of reviews. When he came out for the estimate he was knowledgeable and personable. His estimate came in where I thought it should have been. His communication was excellent, he is really good at phone tag. As far as the work goes he was absolutely punctual. We had some surprise problems and he was imaginative in coming up with solutions. He even came in $100 under bid.

Shaun was very courteous, punctual and professional. He walked us through a number of options until we found one in our price range. We started with a large, multilevel deck and he helped us turn it into a single level masterpiece. Even when a section was found floating against our house unsupported, he worked with us to ensure everything was fixed up just right. I would definitely recommend Dietz Home Improvements, and if we ever have another job to handle around our house, Shaun will be the first one we call.

Shaun was a great help in determining what needed to be done and gave us various ideas and information about the different decking products available. He had his bid to us within two days. Although we decided to go with another company (lower bid) we would not hesitate to recommend Shaun. He is very knowledgeable and informative.

They answered on my questions, they responded when I ask something and on my emails but they are not always that responsive because they were a bigger company and I have a relatively small job. They were polite and professional.

Shaun came out right away to give me an estimate on replacing my two entry doors. Regardless of it being the holidays he was able to schedule the job in a timely manner. I gave him my preference on the door style I wanted and he picked up all of the supplies with the check I sent him prior to the job being done. Shaun and his helper showed up on time on both of the days, made sure the work area was cleaned up when they left and did an incredible job on installing the two doors. I was told when he came out to give the estimate about all the concerns with remodeling an old house, which I really appreciated the information. I will definitely call Shaun when I need more remodeling done.

The work on all four doors was excellent, they were very courteous, professional, and cleaned up so so well that you couldn't even tell they were there and this was even after having to trim the interior doors down on a table saw.. Final Bill came in slightly under estimate, which was great..We will definitely us him again.

It went very well. I was always kept in the loop when a decision was made. I appreciate the fact that when they removed the old fascia, they did so without damaging the existing flashing.... as they said, and quot;Treat it like its your own house!and quot; The new deck cover looks great and it is very sturdy; Shaun pointed out some deficiencies in the existing deck structure and added additional supports. He also reused the existing gutter saving some expense. All the debris was removed and you'd scarcely know any work was done at all, except for the improved look. Shaun doesn't mark up materials so the invoice showed only the materials that were needed; he returned some unused ones. I am very pleased.

..Windows were installed in a day. Had to repair dry rot in 3 areas. Shaun kept me informed the whole time and explained what he was doing. Work was done quickly, very satisfied with work that was done.

He emailed me and said that the job was too big for him handle.

The process went really smooth. Sean was very helpful and didn't have a problem sharing the work. I assembled the Ikea cabinets but had him install them. It worked out beautifully. Sean was very honest and easy to work with. Both him and his crew were punctual, and did what they said they would do. He found a leak in my water pipe when he was taking out the kitchen sink cabinet. He immediately referred me to a plumber, who was also great and reasonable to work with. His timing and price were great and we kept the project on track. I also liked the fact that if Sean overestimated on time, he would adjust the bill accordingly. The work they did was great! My house is older and I can tell you the ceiling and the walls were not level or plumb. But the cabinets look great.

Shaun and his helper did a wonderful job in completing both jobs. They were punctual, efficient, did quality work and cleaned up after themselves! After all that, they also came in under estimate.

We were so impressed with Shaun and his crew that we will use him again for any home improvement/repair type jobs that come up in the future. He was very knowledgeable of the deck building process and worked with us to make exactly what we were looking for with a safe, extremely beautiful and sturdy porch. Their attention to detail was just wonderful. They also educated us in the care and maintenance of our new porch in order to make it last for many years. We also had him price work on our back porch and a section of fence, but decided to wait on those jobs as they were not in the budget for now. Shaun was very respectful of our budget constraints and was able to help us figure out how to get what we needed while sticking to our budget by pricing different materials and options. He was also able to look at our old porch and point out construction faults by the previous owner that had helped lead to the current (rotting) condition of the porch. His knowledge inspired our confidence in moving forward with his company. The result- a very sturdy beautiful porch. Shaun and his crew showed up promptly when they said they would--they worked 6 days a week to get the job done and they were always cheerful and approachable for our family. If he ever did need to run and quot;lateand quot; (past the time he told us he would be there) he sent me a message to let me know that he would be a few minutes late and why (picking up additional materials etc). At the same time we had Dietz working on our porch we had installers putting in (tearing out old) carpet in our basement and tile in our bathroom. It was a black and white comparison between the two contractors. Dietz was always punctual and professional-obviously taking pride in his work and his reputation. The other group never showed up on time and we often had to call the and quot;bossand quot; when they hadn't showed up for hours past the time they said they would be there. Since they were doing indoor work it really held up our family life to be waiting around all the time. Several of the guys- including their boss- pointed out that they could have built the deck too--- we sort of laughed to ourselves because there is no way we would ever use them for anything again, and compared to Dietz they were bottom of the barrel and Dietz was the cream of the crop. We know that we could have had our porch created for less money but we would have sacrificed a lot of quality and professionalism. I really can't express clearly how pleased we were with Dietz Home Improvement. I can tell you that you will not be disappointed!

They are an and lsquo;A' company and they are great. Their price was very reasonable and they gave us a discount of ten percent because we are members of Angie's list. They were prompt and they did exactly what they said they were going to do in the time frame. They were on time. We had an upfront bid in writing, and they checked with us all the time on how things were going and if we were happy with what was going on.

Overall, I could not imagine a better outcome. From the free estimate to project completion, Shaun worked with me to insure I was going to be happy with the replacement deck. Even after some changes, the project came in at very close to his estimate. i

Dietz finished my job one day ahead of his estimate, and the actual cost was aproximatly $100.00 less than his original estimate. Saun also gave me some advice on the best type of stain to use and how to apply it. I am very pleased with the finished deck, and I got another estimate for removing 7 old wall heaters, and Sheetrocking the opening. as I have installed a new heat pump in my home. I plan on using Dietz Home Improvement to do this work later this winter.

They were very good. It cost us about $8000 for their services. We really liked the guy who came out. We liked everything about his service. He was very nice and very good. He came on time, did his work and did a good job. He was great. Their price and quality were very good. Their responsiveness was nice. The punctuality and professional were both excellent as well. I would definitely use their services in the future too.

Shaun Deitz came out to the house promptly for initial meeting. Got back to us with estimate in timely manner. Liked their use of email with job estimate and attachments with references. We got onto their schedule and within two weeks work commenced. Was finished in promised 3 day period. Completed job looked good - and was on schedule and on budget. Very good work ethic and customer service orientation. Would use again in the future.

His price was reasonable. Everything that he did was wonderful.

I like the handyman’s price, promptness and professionalism. I did read about him online. I paid around $100 for hanging 17 doors. He is coming back to install a bathroom vanity today and he is going to charge me $100.

He did a fabulous job. He was honest and punctual. He was well priced and we would definitely use him again.
