I have a finicky, weird old house and this year I needed a new water heater and then immediately following I needed plumbing help from frozen pipes! D&F has been amazing!! Phil, Frank and Robert were all kind, extremely knowledgeable, and also happy to explain what they were doing and why so I could even learn a bit about my weird old house too! I called D&F to install a sink and faucet that I supplied at my small business. They quoted over $900 to install the sink with a 10% discount to bring the total to $832. I assumed that at that price, surely this job would take them 4 hours or more. In reality the job took 2 hours from when the plumber arrived to when he left. I unpacked the sink and faucet for the plumber. No special tools were used. The plumber didn't even mount the sink centered underneath the light fixture or bother to ask if I would like it centered beneath the light fixture. Instead it was installed up against the wall. When asked, he said, "yeah...customers usually like it centered beneath the fixtures." My thought: so why didn't you center it or ask if we'd like it centered or against the wall? The caulking was poorly done and I had to redo it two days later after it cracked where it met the wall. I later had to hire an electrician to move the light fixture so that the light fixture was centered above the sink. Understandably feeling that I was robbed by this company I called their customer service and asked for a partial refund, considering that the job took two hours, their hourly rate was effectively $416/hour. They refused and said that they charge flat rates and not by the hour. The representative said that they charge a flat fee whether it takes 2 hours or 10 hours. Irrelevant. It took 2 hours. Furthermore, how often does it take 10 hours and how often does it take the 2 hours? It is clear to me now that they charge a flat rate to take advantage of customers who are either on a deadline and need something done (as I was), or might not know how long a job will take, and therefore it allows them to maximize the amount that they effectively make per hour. It is clear that they charge such an exorbitant rate on a customer supplied sink because they don't have the added benefit of buying a sink at wholesale then drastically marking it up. When given an opportunity to make it right, they refused, saying that they had already given a 10% discount--absurd, like, they were initially planing on charging over $900 for this job!? I strongly dissuade any potential customers from using this service and choose a company that charges by the hour, or whose flat fees come close to aligning with the amount of time the job will take. If given the opportunity, they will charge you over $400/hour for the simplest jobs. In short: this company charges over $400/hr for simple plumbing jobs, strongly recommend looking elsewhere.

This service was to replace a toilet. D&F were very quick to respond to my query, and David showed up the next business day right on time. David was very personable, very thorough in explaining what work was needed and what my options were. Once we agreeed on the service options, things were completed very promptly. I would have given 5 stars for the excellent service, but the price seemed pretty steep. I was in a hurry and glad the work was quickly completed, so I went ahead and accepted the price. If I wasn't in a hurry or was on a tight budget, I would have asked them to "sharpent their pencil".

JAMES STAUFFER was a great listener. He heard what I was looking for then he made his assessment and performed his work according to my concern. He evaluated my the opportunity and explained very clearly of my options. I will definitely recommend and call D&F plumbing again to come back and complete the necessary repairs.

Had to have some work done on a leaking tub. Phil was incredibly thorough, thoughtful, and walked me through the whole process. Phil and Evan, who later joined the team, were both professional, courteous, and fast. Great teamwork, and I really felt like we were in good hands. Highest recommendation and would definitely call D&F for future plumbing projects.

Ask for Derrick. He was courteous, knowledgeable, and completed the work as requested. He has 32 years of experience plumbing. I will ask for him again.

They run a bait and switch trick by stating the $119 inspection fee will be waived if you move forward with the technicians quote. They refuse to give any estimate for even a best case or worst case scenario for the job because they know they charge 4-10x the standard market cost and they want you in the hook for the 119. I provided a thorough explanation with a video for the job and asked multiple times for an estimate of what the job would cost. When the technician arrives you learn just how outrageous the gouging will be. To install a dishwasher that required no special work it'd be more than $800. The technician was friendly but knew this shady business practice happens all the time. He did nothing to inspect and started by saying it'd be $800 if I wanted to move forward knowing that no reasonable person would pay that and he wouldn't have to do anything. There's no reason that 800+ couldn't have been shared with me as an estimate prior to arriving and prior to agreeing to the inspection fee. The billing department doesn't listen to any reasonable request to waive the inspection fee and instead tells you they recorded you accepting the inspection fee. They claim they charge a fair market price and have been in business since 1927. While this might not be illegal (I'll be researching this later) as a business practice, it's clearly deceitful, dishonest, and the most unethical practice I've seen from any business. I tried resolving this with them directly before going to a review like this but they're clearly prepared for customers they've ripped off with this trick in the past and refused to consider any resolution other than stealing $119 from me. Truly shameful.

Randy Sosa was my hero today! I didn't receive a text that he was o his way tis morning, so I was still in bed when he arrived. He was kind enough to give me a minute to get to the door. He explained what needed to be done, and did it! He allowed me space to clean up the mess under the washer. He was kind and courteous. My first load of laundry is in before noon. I am very happy with his work and D & F Plumbing. It wasn't cheap, but peace of mind has no price. Thank you!

Robert did a great job! He assessed our situation and provided solutions. Replaced the water heater in an efficient and timely manner. He also arranged for the work to be done on another plumbing issue we have on Monday. Very professional!

Loren, Phil and Kaenan all worked very hard and did an excellent job. Loren and Phil were the plumbers and both were very knowledgeable. They carefully explained what they could do and then did what we had agreed on. Kaenan handled the excavation and backfilling and he too did a great job. They were addressing a water line failure that happened the afternoon of Veterans Day. I’m really happy that I found D & F because they were able to respond on holiday.

ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC, FRIENDLY, SERVICE!!! Communicative, punctual, knowledgeable, and very fair. Both technicians explained everything to me and answered my questions and helped me get a plan of action and then helped me resolve my issue. They were fantastic!
