+ -1 moreWe recently hired D&F Plumbing for a sewer scope service. They were hired to scope a residential sewer pipe and clear it if clogged. We pre-paid half the price plus a fee of almost $200. I wish we would have pushed back but it's hard to find a plumber and we felt stuck. After arriving they spent a few minutes looking at the job including finding a blockage about 5% of the way down the pipe. They stopped and left with a promise to return. They never returned to finish the job. We have been asking for them to return over $1,000 in payments and they will not respond to our calls or emails. We feel helpless and frustrated. Would not recommend this company.

+ -1 moreOur experience with D&F Plumbing was very disappointing. We had a broken pipe leading from the street to our house in February. They performed the repair as expected. We filed a claim with our homeowners insurance, and despite repeated calls from our insurance company and us, asking D&F to supply the insurance company with what they needed, they did not. Also, in the spring when we turned on our irrigation system, we found that D&F had broken an irrigation pipe in the process of fixing the water pipe. We had to hire a leak locator company, and a sprinkler repair company, to fix the problem. We provided pictures to D&F to prove that the damage was done by them and asked for reimbursement for the repairs. Again, despite repeated calls to the service manager Mike and others on the staff, none of our calls were returned. A company who is not willing to provide the information needed to get a full reimbursement from the insurance company, and also damages your property while fixing an issue and then doesn't take responsibility, is not a company that anyone should do business with. If I could provide zero stars, I would.

Description of Work: I needed to have the shower head and plumbing replaced in both my bathroom and the bathroom between my kids' bedrooms. My shower was a lot simpler than the work that needed to be done for my kids' bathroom, but the pro from D & F Plumbing was able to replace all the pipes, as well as upgrade our fixtures to Delta faucets.

+ -1 moreDeeply dissatisfied. When I called D&F Plumbing I was told their technicians were experts in locating and repairing water leaks in residential main lines. Since the water was pouring into the street and their reviews looked OK I paid them $499 to send someone out to fix the leak. The technician marked a 7 foot length where he heard the water start and stop and left me with a $10,000 estimate to replace the whole line. I dug up where he marked. The ground was hard and dry. I called a second plumber who within an hour located the leak 15 feet away and replaced the threaded joint between the PVC and copper pipes for $1400. I sent photos to D&F and asked for a partial refund since they didn’t find the leak and provided no service and was denied. I do not recommend this company for finding water main leaks.

+ -1 moreD&F professional. The work was done well but I ended up getting overcharged for the work. It was a fairly straightforward replacement of a kitchen faucet and when I called to arrange for a plumber, I pressed DNF for some kind of quote for that work. They would not give me a quote and set up a typical arrangement where their plumber comes to evaluate the problem and there's a fee ($119) for that that can be applied to the actual work if the owner moves forward with the work. That all went smoothly, but after evaluating the replacement of the kitchen faucet, the plumber told me that it was a flat fee for the project, and it ended up costing over $700 to simply replace the kitchen faucet, which took about an hour since the new faucet went into the same one. And I provided the faucet! Even with travel time, that seemed excessive but I was already in for the $119 evaluation fee, so I went forward with the work. Again, I have no issue with the quality of the work but the cost was very high.

+ -1 moreThis place overcharges by A LOT. I would never use them again. Not even for an emergency. Just find someone else. They say they have flat rates for repair, but funny enough won't give you the rate over the phone. Why not if it's a flat rate? Ridiculous. I feel like they sent a plumber to my house to rob me. Other plumbers in town charge almost 1/2 the amount hire one of them. Any one of them.

He never tested the electricity and jumped right into replacing the disposal. Once the new one was in, it didn't work either because it was an electrical issue, not the disposal itself, but by now I had a new unit already installed, which I paid for. He should have checked the electricity FIRST.

+ -1 moreI called and asked if they did dishwasher repairs, they said yes. When the repair person arrived they thought they were supposed to be installing a dishwasher. They told my husband they don’t do repairs and left. I was charged $119 for nothing. I had to have someone else repair the dishwasher and was just out the money. Then someone from the company called me and asked me if I changed my mind and was ready to have my new dishwasher installed. I told her that I was given false info, they didn’t communicate with the repair person they sent, and I considered it a huge waste of time and money having to pay for an appointment that never should have been made. She told me to have a good day, no offer to refund me my money, or apology for what happened. Awful business.
Description of Work: I needed a repair, the person I scheduled with told me they do repairs, they sent someone out that said they don’t do repairs and left but still charged me $119 for the appointment.

Phil called me Tuesday morning to let me know that he would be at my house Tuesday afternoon and I agreed that was good. Phil arrived as agreed, discussed what I wanted done, which included installing a new kitchen sink and replacing the hot and cold water valves under the sink that I could turn off and on easily. He took care of the whole job and everything is working perfectly. I would hire Phil from D and F again.
Description of Work: Repair kitchen faucet that was no longer working properly and was leaking into the sink. Replace the hot and cold water valves under the sink.

+ -1 moreI had a sink that was clogged. I was told that the plumber would assess the clog, which would cost $120. If I chose to have the work done by them, the $120 would be applied to the cost of the work they did. The plumber heard my explanation and said that to snake the kitchen drain would cost $600! I agreed to the work hesitantly because I was already out $120 and would still need to pay someone to unclog my drain. I asked if the work was guaranteed for a certain amount of time and I was told no. So 15 minutes later, the plumber unclogged my sink and left. $600 for 15 minutes, that's $40 a minute! My sink clogged again a few days later. I called to complain and was told that someone would call me back. No one returned my call so I called again and was told the same thing and again no one called me back. In fact, the second person I got was argumentative with me. I strongly suggest you find another plumbing company!

Diagnosed the correct problem immediately, and worked with me while I maneuvered my HOAs rules on repairs. My building has 100 year old plumbing, and they treated it wonderfully! Very nice people to talk to, too.

Ben gave me the information I needed to make the necessary decisions regarding my failing toilet, new toilet options and pricing...as well as considerations about replacing or not replacing the defunct disposal that greeted me as I moved in my new place. He did an excellent job with installation too! It was more expensive than expected, but so were the other repairs I have done this week, lol! I will always ask for Ben, and I hope he'll replace my next toilet in a few months.

Offered a double-sided shutoff, which I'd never seen before, and installed it so I can turn on hot water in the kitchen sink while leaving the dishwasher feed shut off until it is installed next week. Game changer! Gave me various quotes I requested of repiping the house (we need a lot of work done) and updating our showers. Made recommendations for improvements, and showed me an open pipe he found in the basement that I never knew about! Very informative AND the work was done quickly! Getting both sources of hot water on the main floor back was a huge relief. Thank you, Phil!
