They were easy to work with. The installer did an excellent job. When she realized the grout that was specified did not match the adjacent bathroom she brought to our attention and arranged to the correct match.

We took a piece of existing carpet in the A-1 and they matched it to new carpet, perfectly. We didn't expect to be able to match that close. They ordered and instilled the new carpet in a timely manor. Our new tenants moved in on time and all was great.

It took awhile for us to decide where to buy flooring. We looked at the home improvement places first, but didn't really see what we wanted. Plus, they couldn't tell us who'd be installing the carpet for them. This was a big deal because the last time we bought carpet, the guys who installed it showed up with their families in tow. Not only did I have strangers wandering around my house until 11:00 PM, but I ended up babysitting their kids most of that time. Since I work at home, it was a lost day for me. We checked Angie's List and read good things about Cascade Flooring America, so we decided to check them out. The store was impressive. They had so many different kinds of flooring that we didn't even see them all that first visit. But the carpets were just what we were looking for and the staff was very knowledgeable. We were pretty sure we were going to go with them. Then, at the Home and Garden Show, we met Debbie. When we told her we liked their carpet but wanted something different for our kitchen/breakfast area, she recommended the grouted vinyl. My husband (who hated the vinyl in our kitchen), was amazed at how good it looked. We were sold! A week or two later, we signed a contract and looked forward to getting our new floors. The teams who did the installation were fantastic. I really can't say enough good things about them. Both teams were very professional, showed up promptly, and worked fast! When I objected to the pattern the vinyl guys had planned, they worked with me to give me just what I wanted. The carpet installers thanked us for using Cascade Flooring America and told us it was a company they'd worked for a long time and loved. Plus, at the end of the day, both teams left the house spotless. The flooring itself is wonderful. We splurged for an upgraded carpet and pad and it feels great under our bare feet. In the kitchen/breakfast area, we replaced our old sheet vinyl with a new product that's vinyl but looks like travertine. It comes in 12x24" rectangles and gets put in and grouted like stone for a fraction of the price. Plus, it's so much easier to maintain and is easier to stand on for long periods. We're going to tell everyone we know that Cascade Flooring America is the best!

We decided to play general contractor for our kitchen remodel. We had already refaced our cabinets a very dark color and were very thankful when Cascade flooring sent out a designer to give ideas for flooring based on our layout and our wishes. We also asked her to take measurements for countertops and backsplash since we weren't sure what we wanted to do yet. She invited us to come out to the showroom if we were interested in using them. Well, we did for two reasons mainly. 1. The labor costs were cheaper than most, and In line with another big flooring company. (We had 4-5 bids) 2. The customer service was excellent. I exchanged numerous emails w/ our representative asking her to tweak numbers, special order pricing from other countries, what would it cost for us to do the demo? I think we visited the showroom twice in Vancouver, WA. She also presented great ideas for colors of tile as well as grout brand and everything in between. She was concerned that the dark cabinet colors could darken the space too much and helped us find light enough colors. We changed our minds many times before deciding on all the materials. We chose to buy backsplash elsewhere and try tiling ourselves. Let's just say we should've hired Cascade Flooring for the backsplash portion of the project as well. Lesson learned. Before Cascade Flooring could begin, we had an asbestos abatement company remove our old flooring. We then removed our old laminate countertops, sink and backsplash ourselves saving some money. This had to be done before counter templating could begin. COUNTERTOPS: Next the countertop guys came for template day one week before counter install. Template day was something I was really glad I was around for. The fellow templating was quick and very thorough. He made sure what edges, corners, and right angles we wanted. How much hang over the cabinets edges. Left a rounded edge for one side to accomodate a swinging door, and less counter hangover for the fridge side to accomodate more larger models of fridges should we choose to upgrade. (As of writing this review, we recently have!). This kind of detail came in handy since we did not have the general contractor to think of these common pitfalls for us. We waited a week and the install was really rather quick upon the counterop arrival. Undermounting the sink required a pretty smelly epoxy, so I'd suggest lots of ventilation and/or leaving for a few hours. I'm pretty sure this is standard. One seam is slightly visible, the other is almost non-existent. To an extent, it really seems like it depends on your material and type you choose. Giallo Ornamental Granite slabs are pretty uniform in look whereas a lot of other styles vary widely. Before leaving they suggested waiting at least 24 hours before installing the faucet and more importantly a garbage disposal. I listened and had the plumber come a few days later. FLOOR TILE: Our sales rep. blocked out three days for tiling the floors. The tile installer came on time and was ready to begin, but became concerned about our underlayment that was on top of our subfloor. I learned that most people have plywood or simply a subfloor and no plywood on top. Well, we had a 3/4" acoustical, spongy, foam underlament nailed to the subfloor. Not the greatest support for tile. We had to put a halt to the install because I needed to get that tested for asbestos too, not to mention it wasn't included in his work order to remove it. Once it was clear there was no asbestos after my rushing to a lab in SW PDX, I called them back and he was back the next day following my wife and me taking up the foam underlayment for 3 to 4 hours in the evening. He installed 165 square feet of backerboard and 13 x 13 tile on a diagonal in 5 or 6 hours! He came back the next work day following that and grouted the whole space in about 1.5 hours. He had anticipated possibly needing more grout than was in the work order and brought it with him. I was never charged for the extra materials needed. In fact, I got to keep the extra 1/2 bucket full of grout that was leftover from the project. I used it to regrout my fireplace hearth. Not a bad deal! VINYL REMNANT: It turned out for the basement landing area I needed a 3/4" plywood underlayment as well, which I hadn't considered previously. I called and spoke w/ the owner at Cascade flooring to see if they could add installing the underlayment for the vinyl to the work order. He was fine with it, and said it would only cost about $20. They never did ask me for the money. It took a few days to find somebody else to install the underlayment and the vinyl remnant. The timeline had gotten messed up with the whole foam/asbestos worry and the tile installer I think needed to move on to another job. After a few extra workdays waiting, another person came to nail down plywood and glue down the vinyl remnant. We are very happy with our finished product. We used some interest free financing for the project that they had going at the time which depended on how much you spent of course. You just can't beat competetive bids, great customer service with design ideas, and excellent quality work.
Description of Work: Provided design ideas for our kitchen flooring, counters and backsplash. Installed new granite countertops w/ undermounted sink, tile/grout kitchen floor w/ backerboard, install underlayment and vinyl remnant for small basement landing area. Price included materials for counters and floors and labor, not demo. Also included moving appliances back into place. We removed them from the kitchen for demo. Also provided bid to tile 35 sq. feet of backsplash, which we should have accepted...

Decorator was very nice and pleasant, and my husband and I appreciated the time she gave us. We had several problems, however, because the flooring we wanted was a solid wood walnut that the decorator informed us was sold out and would not be available. She advised either a white oak replacement or a manufactured floor. She spent a considerable amount of time in our home on two occasions--first measuring square feet of the areas, and on the second visit we were joined by a subcontractor regarding labor charges. We were given estimates for about 1200 sq. ft of white oak solid flooring that would include building the stairway. We were told that we would be hiring the subcontractor who installed the flooring and that the contract for the labor would have nothing to do with the flooring purchase. The entire project was estimated at well over $20K for flooring that we did not like. I called several flooring contractors for bids. A second contractor came out, measured, and found that Cascade had over-measured by almost 300 sq. ft. In addition, he checked with Contractors Furnishing and found that the solid walnut flooring and rounded stair treads were available. He arranged for us to purchase the walnut flooring, stair treads and air vents from that company. He picked it up several days later, stored it in our home for several weeks age appropriately before installation. We saved a great deal of money on the flooring because we were able to buy 300 sq. ft. less. This contractor charged us approximately $8000. plus tax for the installation, so we ended up saving about $12,000. compared to what we would have spent with Cascade Flooring and their subcontractor. My advice is to never go with a company before you obtain 2 or 3 bids, know exactly how much square feet will be involved (maybe measure it yourself very carefully), and hire the contractor who has references and takes pride in his work above trying to make the extra buck. We found such a man in the Yacolt area, and he did a quite competent job. We saved thousands of dollars and got the floor we wanted instead of settling for a replacement for our desired walnut floor. The contractor from Yacolt will be doing future work in our home as a result of the very positive experience we had with his company. Cascade Flooring is convenient to our home and the salesperson is quite pleasant, but based on the erroneous measurement and inability to obtain the flooring we wanted (plus high prices by written estimate), I would not do business with them again.

Very well , customer service was excellent, they got my tile ordered called me when it was in and helped me load it. Was very happy with the service but thought the tile was a little pricey as compared to a few other outlets but overall experience was very good. Asked for a reference on a tile setter as I had per purchased most of the tile prior to this job and they wouldn't allow there tile setters to install tile I had previously purchased. Got a recommendation but was very disappointed in the typical contractor BS by giving you a low ball price then after the fact everything is extra will not use that contractor again. Quality of work was descent, but price I paid was ridiculous. Price did not reflect the quality! Typical contractor trying to pay for his house on one job! Hope this helps

They are very helpful after you get past the slightly awkward front desk area. It feels a bit like you are not allowed to be there, but I think they are just trying to help? It was awesome. Vlad was energetic, prompt and clean. He is an artist. He installed header boards along the borders and the way he angled the cuts in the "dog ear" was fantastic. I expected blunt ends with the diagonal piece having a 45% on each end, but instead he bisected the angles so it looks really professional. Hopefully this review form lets me post pictures... Vlad and his assistant were always polite and expedient, getting the job done quickly. He also came back after the job to repair a spot that had a chip come out - the board's fault, not the installers. The repair was so good that you can't tell where the problem was without referring to before and after pictures.

First, Lori's Painting, not on Angie's list, was recommended by Paul and Jewels from Cascade to paint the interior walls and ceilings of the above noted area. Lori and her husband Dennis were excellent! They came back after flooring installation and touched up, without further cost! The two Russians who installed the flooring did a great job, and had pride in their work! However, let me warn you---when having tile removed, and perhaps wood flooring laid, TURN OFF you central air/heat system. Otherwise, you will have lots of dust in you air return, and you furnace a/c filter will be filthy--which could lead to burn out of your system motor. We were not informed of this. Also, let me mention that six months prior to this first floor work, Cascade Flooring removed the carpet in our upstairs master bedroom, entry way, and installed vinyl flooring in our the Master Bedroom and upstairs entry way, plus new carpet on the stairs. The two men who did this were also excellent, and the dust not nearly as much as from the downstairs. Jewels and her father were patient with us, but there were times when I had to press h****** the details, like the baseboard issues. The prices seemed a bit high, and every little act is mentioned in the bid, including moving furniture and putting it back. Lori and Dennis did not do this. I imagine the very detailed estimate is probably typical for flooring companies. It does let the customer now very specifically what they are paying for, but my guess is it also gives the flooring company more profit in the end. Anyways, I've recommended Cascade to a number of our friends.
Description of Work: This latest service involved removing the kitchen, nook, entry tile, removing carpet in den, pantry; removing linoleum in laundry room; then installation of engineered wood in den, nook, kitchen, entry way, along with installing new carpet in pantry and linoleum in laundry room. The carpet and vinyl was installed nicely. The backsplash is pretty, but some of the tiles were not spaced right, and in the most visible spot. I worked with a GC, and was told to go choose the carpet. I was not told how expensive my choice was until after it was ordered. Overall, I was satisfied with Cascade. But be sure to get prices of product you're choosing.

We selected Cascade Flooring America to help with a cottage remodel on our property based on their great service to us earlier this year in our main house remodel. As before, we had productive design consultations with Paul both on-site and in their showroom. Cascade has a wide selection of materials to choose from. Paul did a great job at understanding the end-result we wanted and our budget, then providing options which met those criteria. The quote was straightforward. Although their prices are probably not the lowest around, we believe they provide good value overall, given the quality of product and customer service. Installation of the materials they were contracted to install went as expected. There were a few small "hiccups" in installation, not uncommon in remodels, which Cascade handled professionally and to our satisfaction. We appreciate that Paul came out to the job site to review everything once it was installed. We are very satisfied customers of Cascade Flooring America and will use them again for these services.

We had a few surprises. Rotten boards under the subflooring were found and had to be repaired. The molding and vinyl were difficult to remove. We ended up having plywood installed over the vinyl instead, then the laminate. The vinyl and laminate work crew were great to work with, as was the carpet crew. Katie, our sale person, was a gem. She worked with us on our choices to get us flooring in our budget, and stayed in contact during the installation process. She kept us informed every step of the way.
Description of Work: Laminate flooring purchase and installation, carpeting purchase and installation, and replace the Master bathroom vanity laminate.

All of Cascade Flooring's representatives, from the initial contact to the installer to the salesperson to the employees at the showroom, were punctual, friendly, professional, knowledgeable, and informative. They provided numerous options for the replacement of our carpets (which we want to do to reduce dust and alleviate our household's allergies) and explained the pros and cons of each for our particular house and set of inhabitants. It was one of their material suggestions that we ended up selecting; the only reason we didn't have them do the work was that we found one other place with which we were also extremely impressed and which provided a slightly lower bid. We agonized over the decision and eventually went with the other place, but we would have been extremely comfortable making the purchase from Cascade Flooring as well. I would definitely recommend getting a bid from them if you're looking for flooring in our area.
Description of Work: Free measurement of house and consultation regarding replacement of carpets throughout our house, examination of flooring options at showroom, bid on work for replacement of carpets with luxury vinyl.

We had an absolutely wonderful experience working with Barry Pieratt at Cascade Flooring America. He is professional, knowledgeable, polite, punctual, and easy to contact. I had him come to my home to talk about what we wanted to do with our floors. He took all the measurements and took time to talk with me and explain a few options. We then scheduled an appointment to meet with him at the showroom to look at products. He went out of his way to accommodate an weekday evening time for my husband and I to meet with him at the showroom. He spent nearly 2 hours with us explaining product features and options, it was a very nice relaxed environment. Once we decided on the type of flooring we wanted (laminate) we picked out several colors we liked and he ordered samples for us. He also provided us with a range of pricing we would be looking at. We picked up the samples several days later and soon made our decision. We let him know and he ordered the product. Several weeks later we were scheduled for the 2 day install. Two men showed up to do the install. They were very nice, professional and worked quickly. They found liquid leaking under our fridge when they moved it and were sure to let us know, they cleaned up the mess, and put a tarp under the fridge before putting it back. They did a wonderful job and actually completed the job in 1 day! We were absolutely thrilled. I will highly recommend Cascade Flooring to everyone I know. We love our new floor.
Description of Work: Installed laminate flooring throughout living room, kitchen, and dining room.
