We are very happy with our new fence and gate. Everything went better than expected, the quality and workmanship were excellent and the job was completed in one day. I would definitely call Cascade again with any future needs and would highly recommend them to others.

Bids for this project fell into two categories: surprisingly cheap and more than desired. Cascade fell into the latter category as we weren't confident about the quality of the job from the former. The driving force for replacing our deck was that a previous owner did the deck as a DIY job without flashing and there was concerning peeling in the siding that abutted the deck. We went with Cascade because the estimator gave us the most confidence in their work among the similarly priced competitors. While that person left the company between our inking the deal and the project, we did not end up feeling like we were then ignored. Cascade were fast to respond to contact whether by phone or e-mail. When the time came to do the project we got a call from the job supervisor that they had made a mistake in the railing they ordered and gave us the choice of sticking with what we ordered or taking the mistake at a discount. It was a minor change so we took the discount. During the installation, the crew closely inspected the area where the deck would be installed and verified our suspicion that there was water damage. The extent was w/in budgeted changes except for one short beam which was replaced for an amount less than the railing change discount. The crew was at the house for four days total and worked late at least two of those days. The final deck is not only well built, but done in a way that is more attractive than the previous deck as there's a little bit of an accent with how they laid the boards. We're ecstatic with the result and would happily refer others to Cascade.

The crew of 5 arrived promptly at 8:00 am, worked steadily until 2:00 pm and left us with a nice new "good-neighbor" fence. They cleaned up all of the debris they created as well as removing the old fencing. We were happy that Steve (who did the estimate) agreed that the old posts were in good condition and could be re-used. The estimate was arranged and the installation completed quickly, in about 3 weeks from the first phone call to the finished job (possibly because it was a little early in the season).

When I got bids, they were the only ones to consistently follow-up and were nice about it taking us some time to get started on the project. Kirk was wonderful to work with - kept us up to date as to when things would begin, etc. The work was completed in two days with additional work that had to be done (upon removal of our old deck there was some rotting that needed to be fixed - which they included in our original price!)! They were very hard workers and kept our yard clean during the process.

Cascade was very responsive, gave us accurate estimates, finished on-time and the work was excellent. In our first project we had them build us a custom wood/metal gate into our backyard. We designed the gate and they did a tremendous job of building and installing it…it’s beautiful! Over the two projects we had them replace our entire cedar fence. They did an excellent job with very high quality materials. A few months after the second project was complete we noticed a couple of fence boards that had split. I contacted Cascade and the boards were replaced extremely quickly with no questions asked. Overall we are very satisfied with the work Cascade Fence did for us and would recommend them without qualification.

It went great. The team showed up when they said they would & the project was completed timely. One thing I particularly appreciated was that they worked with the space to create the greatest view from the downstairs door as the deck was a 2nd story deck.

Our experience was great. They were prompt when they said they would be there and cleaned up well after themselves. They did a follow up with us to make sure we were satisfied with the work. 3 or 4 crew members came out to do the work and it took 2 days to complete the project.

The work they did was great and I was satisfied with it. The crew were responsive and I thought their price was reasonable to others. They worked very efficiently and quickly, they were done within a day of starting the work.

We researched Cascade Fence and Deck using their website and Angie's list. I then visited their office for an initial consultation on our project. The Cascade Sales Consultant was very attentive, knowledgable, and seemed genuinely interested in our project, even though it was fairly small. The next day two Sales Consultants visited our property to take measurements, discuss options, etc. They were great to work with and had some good design advice. We were given a detailed written quote on-site, which we accepted. Because we needed to complete this project quickly, no other quotes were sought out and so no price comparisons with the Cascade quote. We think the Cascade price is fair, good value, etc. but may not be the lowest price possible. Installation was scheduled for the following week, which met our expectations. While waiting, we were actually offered a slightly earlier installation date, which unfortunately we couldn't accommodate. A two-person install team arrived on schedule and completed the install in a timely manner and to our satisfaction. The installers were personable, answered the few questions we had, and did good quality work. Later in the day of install, our Sale Consultant called us to make sure the work was completed satisfactorily (which it was), asked for any feedback, and thanked us for our business. A couple of weeks later we also received a brief thank-you note. We are pleased to have chosen Cascade Fence and Deck on this project, and plan to contract with them in the future for additional railing installation.

We had an old deck that had been abused by a quarter century of Pacific Northwest weather. Our desire was to contract for a total package that would include removal of the old deck and construction of a new deck using natural materials we judged to be the best for our needs. The company, Cascade Fence and Deck, was awarded the contract. Their bid was not the low bid for the project, but our decision was based on several factors. On the front end, while the project cost estimator assessed the project scope, many questions were asked about our needs and desires for the new deck. Secondly, when the project estimate was delivered, we found the business was able to timely satisfy our need. While we did not demand nor expect immediate action for the deck project, we were not willing to wait 10 weeks or longer for a new deck. Besides, Cascade Fence & Deck offered certain options for a natural wood deck including pre-stained deck boards that other lower bid builders were reluctant to address. Due to the late season decision we made about getting a new deck built, we did not desire to have the burden of staining and weatherizing a new deck with the uncertainty of seasonal weather conditions. Finally, Cascade Fence and Deck fully admitted that errors are sometimes made or unforeseen conditions occur that need to be corrected by the contractor. Anyone who has worked with a contractor knows that nothing ever seems to be absolutely perfect, so service and follow-up after the job is very important. We were offered a generous guarantee of workmanship for the deck and a promise of attention should anything not meet our expectations. When the project began the work crew very efficiently demolished the old deck and hauled the debris away from our property. The lead man consistently and frequently asked questions to assure the project was being constructed to our specifications. In particular, we wanted the new deck to be constructed to a design nearly the same as the original deck with some additional design modifications. The lead man was sure to get affirmation that we wanted certain benches in the design to be secured to the deck rather than be moveable. As could be predicted a minor issue developed during construction. An error occurred in the number of pre-stained deck boards needed to complete the project. An order of the additional pre-treated boards needed from the lumber yard would delay completion of the final deck bench by up to two weeks. The contractor elected to use new wood and stain the boards at the project site prior to finishing the bench. We were a bit concerned that the variation in staining process from the bulk of the deck boards might result in some variation in color match. The contractor indicated if we did not like the match, they would do what was necessary to mitigate our concern. The deck was completed to our satisfaction. In several ways the deck exceeds our expectations. The deck design with benches is solidly built and the finished product is visually better to us than originally conceived in the minds-eye. Finally the work crew was very steady at their job, consistently behaved in a professional manner, appeared to be very careful in their work practices, checked and double checked measures and levels, and utilized modern, up-to-date equipment. We were pleased to see they used a state-of-the-art laser leveling device, but always performed a final check with a standard level. One of our concerns had been to make sure the new deck was placed so that old paint lines would not be visible on the outside wall of the house when the job was done. The match is close to perfect. The work crew effectively cleaned up any remaining debris from the construction. Our clean back yard looks fine with the new deck in place.

They came and gave us an estimate but they couldn't do it for a month and that was the same thing with the others they couldn't do it at a timely rate for us but that was during the busy season. The rates on all those are good. They were courteous. It was good because they already had more things but I can understand that.

When we contacted Kirk he was very quick to respond, meet with us and provide a quote. After receiving two additional quotes, we decided to hire Cascade Fence and Deck to install our fence. Kirk was available to meet with us early in the morning and we walked through the fence boundary in detail, including the location of all of the gates. Kirk marked all of this on a diagram, spray painted the ground and placed markers. Kirk did an excellent job talking through our project with us and we did not have to wait too long to get on the schedule to start our project. Kirk's team set posts in cement on Tuesday, placed the fencing material and gates on Thursday and half of Friday. The team was very professional, and effectively addressed our questions. When the fence was finished we were very pleased to find that the posts were placed with care and the cement was poured deep enough so they were not visible and could be landscaped over. During our project Kirk did an excellent job updating us on its' status and responding to any questions we had very quickly, usually within hours.

Horrible experience, would never recommend this company!! This has been such a frustrating experience in trying to get them to finish their work, and not using materials that are split and broken and covered in mud. The boards are split, the gates are so raw and splintered its no fun trying to open them. The latches do not close correctly. Its been over two months-- And, WHEN you can get this contractor to answer their phone its ALWAYS "next week". One picture is worth 1000 words!

Kirk responded the first day to my call. He was knowledgeable about the products and services. He listened to what I wanted and was very nice throughout the process. The crew came to set the posts the next day. Within a few days, the majority of the rest of the work was done. After this Kirk came to take a look at the project. We agreed that it needed to be stabilized a bit more as the ground was so wet when the posts were set. The crew returned the next day to put in more concrete. They also used two brackets they had fabricated to attach the top to the house. It is now very stable. They also created a small vinyl gutter to help channel the water down from the poycarbonate top. The crew was very professional and pleasant.

They communicated clearly with us and sent a sample of the material so we could see that it matched the color of our home. They provided a written estimate and all the documents required by the CCB. The installation was set on dates we would be at home and they arrived and did the job as planned. The two men were polite, courteous, careful and concerned about doing the best job. At the end of the first day, there was no trace they'd even been at our home except that the PVC pieces had been installed. At the end of the second day, the polycarbonate had been installed, everything was put back as they found it and they left an invoice with warranty registration website information.
