They have done a great job for us every time. They were easy to work with, very accommodating when we were in a time crunch, professional and the cost for the repairs always seem fair. Our property management company has spent over $5000 which included a couple of large jobs. Bullseye scores great on value! We will continue to have them on speed dial for our electrical work.
Description of Work: Isaac and his team at Bullseye Electric have done at least 12 electrical jobs for our property management company in 2013. They have been large jobs including electrical panel box replacements down to small jobs like installing GFCI receptacles.

I have rental property and In the past, when I have needed the services of an electrician I have called them with great fear and trepidation. Usually when an electrician walks over the threshold you can expect a 500 dollar bill before they have touched anything and I have always needed more work done than I thought I needed. Not so this time, I was pleasantly surprised with the great service and pricing of Bullseye Electric. I am definitely adding this company to my repairs call list. Lily Kolditz

The electrician, Neil, was very friendly and knowledgeable. He actually got to my house about 15 minutes early! Wow, that has never happened to me before.! Unfortunately I was in the back yard and missed him the first time but that got worked out. Neil answered all of my questions, even the stupid ones. Hey you're never too old to learn. Overall this was a great experience and I will definitely use Bullseye Electric again.
Description of Work: Electrician, Neil replaced a defective outside plug and installed new cover. Replaced GFI plug in garage, which ran to the aforementioned outside plug. Tested the circuit after installation. Neil then looked at our kitchen and gave me some lighting ideas.

Fantastic, I have to be very clear about the character of Isaac. Not only did he answer the phone immediately after his 5pm closing time, but rather than take to opportunity to travel out and use my perceived corrective action in the panel, he had an even easier and cheaper, make that free, solution that he guided me through in 5 minutes over the phone. Now THAT is the kind of behavior that this country was founded on. I'll be using Isaac for all of my future electrical needs!!
Description of Work: Gave advice to solve a double wire into a single breaker correction where the panel was completely full of tandem breakers already.

We'll let you know when the work is done.
Description of Work: Issac gave us the best of three electrical estimates we have had for our kitchen and dining remodel. By best, I mean the most attention to detail, the best communication, the fastest turnaround time for the bid and the lowest price. We signed the contract with Bullseye electric.

Made a 1 pm appointment to have them look at a malfunctioning GFI. No one showed and I didn't get a call from them until 3:30. The electrician told me there must have been a scheduling problem. He still wanted to come by. No thanks.

We were very happy with Bullseye overall. My only complaint would be their responsiveness to calls by our contractor. It seemed that the scheduling could have flowed better. . . and there were confusing elements to their billing procedures. They guarantee their work, and were quick to respond to an outlet that was miss performing. They are a talented and personable crew. I , should there be need, will hire them again.
Description of Work: We rehired Bullseye to install all new electrical for a radical kitchen model. We have had them before, and would hire them again. We switched from standard can lights to LED cans, LED under counter lighting, added new ceiling fixtures, removed old track lights, moved and added switches, required special electrical hook up for new range, hook up of a dishwasher, refrigerator and garbage disposal . They also installed an "all house" surge protector to our panel.

Professional all the way. Isaac came out to give me a bid a few weeks ago which came in several hundred dollars lower than the other two companies I contacted (RK Electric and Power Works). Neil did the work and I cannot praise him highly enough. He was on time, his work was clean and tidy, the panel circuits were clearly labeled, he remembered everything I told him about where I wanted the outlets to be positioned (I also drew on the walls and showed him my plan elevations), he stayed into the evening on the second day to finish up with the can lights (even though I had to leave for a dinner engagement), and he got on well with my plumber, Scott, from Simpson Plumbing (also excellent) who was working in the same space, and he did it all on two very rainy days. I have remodeled three other kitchens and this was the biggest in terms of electrical alterations and additions. Neil kept his focus the whole time, took no breaks except for lunch, and encountered various issues that inevitably arise with a 106-year-old house and was thoughtful and worked around them with aplomb. The finish work is yet to be done once my cabinets are installed, but I would not hesitate to recommend Bullseye Electric to anyone thinking about doing a kitchen remodel. Bullseye also previously did the electric work on a small job of installing my new water heater and moving it from the laundry room down to the basement. Same good service, also worked on it together with Simpson Plumbing.
Description of Work: Kitchen remodel requiring the following to bring it up to code and convenience: replace 50-year-old 200 amp Zinsco electrical panel with a 200 amp Siemans panel and reverse it to exterior access, add 11 new outlets and 4 new circuits, move 220 range outlet to a different wall, install 3 can lights in ceiling.

Very disappointed with this company's lack of service. Called to schedule a very simple service call 24 hours prior to appointment time. Was advised electrician would be out between 1 - 2 pm. At approximately 2:15pm on the day of the appointment, contacted the office. After being placed on hold for nearly 10 minutes, was advised the electrician was running a little late with the prior appointment and would be coming to my residence shortly. At approximately 4:00 pm, electrician still had not shown up. Called the office once again and after being placed on hold for 15 minutes, was informed the job the electrician was on had a major equipment "blow up" and they had been waiting for a unit or part. No one called to advise me of the status. I was then told it would be another 45 minutes before he would be done with the work and adding in travel time, would probably not arrive at my residence until 5pm - nearly 4 hours later than scheduled. No one ever called to inform me of these issues - I had to continue following up. I would never use, nor recommend, this company to anyone.
Description of Work: No services were performed. Company failed to meet appointment time as scheduled.

I received on-site bids from 3 electric service providers. Bullseye's rep. was noticeably more knowledgeable about the problem, and was very professional; more so than the others. Work was scheduled and performed within days, and clean up was very good. I definitely recommend Bullseye Electric and will use them again if needed.

Great professional, prompt, friendly service at a reasonable price.
Description of Work: I called Bullseye Electric after finding them on Angie's List. I wanted a Vancouver electrician as opposes to one in Portland. They said they would be out about 11 am and I got a call back and they offered an earlier apt which I took. Our electrical outlets in the garage were not working. My husband had checked the fuse box and nothing was tripped. Neil from Bullseye came and discovered that the GFI had been tripped but it had been covered by a multi plug cover so we couldn't see it. He discovered this in about 12 minutes. Neil was friendly, professional, arrived very promptly and the price was reasonable. I will definitely call Bullseye again. Thank you Neil!

Neil showed up right at 9 which was my appointment time. He understood right away what had happened to the outlets and explained to me about how aluminum wiring in older houses like mine can come loose over time and cause overheating problems. He fixed the outlet and replaced it with a new one. He also retrofitted the aluminum ends with copper to prevent the loosening problem that caused the meltdown in the first place. He was very articulate and professional in explaining all of what he was doing, so I learned a lot as well as getting a new wall plug! The fuse problem ended up being totally unrelated to the outlets but was the result of a live wire in a broken wall heater grounding. He capped the live wires and then checked the heater and thermostat. I had had another electrician look at the heater many years ago and I was told that there was no electricity there which was why I thought it was broken. Neil traced the electricity to the thermostat and after 16 years thinking the heater was useless, I now know I can replace the thermostat and heater and have functioning heat in my dining room! The fuze box is apparently not too bad, but not right either, so I asked for and received a price to get that all fixed up.
Description of Work: Two of my house outlets overheated and melted, including some of the wire and insulation. One of them I was able to fix, but the wires on the other one were very fragile and short, so I was afraid to work with them so called Bullseye to fix it. I also had one of the fuses trip and I needed that looked at and possibly fixed. Another part of the call out was to look over my new-ish fuse box as the electrician who installed it did a poor job, so I had been meaning to have it looked at and get a better professional opinion as to the safety of the new box.

On Thu night i sent an email to Bullseye Electric. I received a very prompt email response stating they could come out for an estimate the next morning and possibly perform the work also. They came out, gave me an estimate, answered my questions and scheduled the work for the same day! The installers came out, were very professional and knocked out the whole job in about an hour! I'd recommend this company to anyone! Very happy!
Description of Work: I needed wiring installed from the electrical panel to a spot in the garage where I'm installing a second water heater. They routed the wires through the wall to the electrical panel. From the panel they went into the attic area and ran the wire down through the wall to the garage.

We had an outlet that had begun to work intermittently in the last few weeks and finally stopped working last night. We called Bullseye this morning and Mike arrived at our home a few hours later. We explained what had been happening, he listened intently, asked a few questions. He then turned off the power to the house, pulled the outlet out, and confirmed a homeowner's worst fears...a wire had melted and was partially exposed! We were in absolute shock, but Mike was very professional and kind and said not to worry, he would fix it immediately. He did so quickly, declared it safe, and with no mess whatsoever. We then asked him to check a few other outlets, which required very minor fixes. He was polite and respectful as he explained the potential danger of our 35 year old FPE electric panel, gave an estimate, and didn't push us. He got the point across in a very respectful and caring manner. We'll be asking Bullseye to replace the panel very soon, are considering an option Mike suggested to replace the inefficient ceiling heat, and will also ask them to install another outdoor outlet. Any and all electrical work to come, we'll be calling the friendly, caring, and kind people of Bullseye Electric! Thank you, Mike and Bullseye, for helping these nervous homeowners sleep a little better tonight.
Description of Work: Replaced wiring and outlet, replaced another outlet, secured an improperly installed outdoor outlet. Provided information and estimate about replacing FPE electric panel. Provided an alternative to ceiling heat that would not require installation of duct work, etc and will be much more efficient; explained why the old thermostats are not working properly (back to the FPE electric panel).

They did not give good customer service. I was frustrated with the process they went through. They installed the socket and the city inspector had to come out. The city inspector did not pass their work because they failed to install a circuit interrupter. They had to come back to change that and go through the inspection again. They visited my house many times and they were not timely. They were not good about calling me or notifying me when the city inspector was coming. Overall, I was not satisfied with them.

Isaac was very prompt to come over after the initial phone call, and provided the bid for the services before leaving. He listened to our needs and understood immediately what needed to be done. He provided suggestions that were very helpful, including code requirements around the need for an outdoor light and switch. He was able to commit that they could start work the next day which was important to our schedule. Although Bullseye was higher priced than another bid we received, I choose him because I felt his bid was more comprehensive and complete. Robert came out the next day and completed the work very competently. He knew exactly what the job entailed, had the appropriate help with him and left everything tidy.
Description of Work: As part of a backyard landscaping project, Bullseye came in and repositioned an inside electrical outlet, added two outside electrical outlets, installed a light switch and outdoor light and installed an outdoor garden post with outlets.
