Did a terrific job on both oak floors and installing cork flooring. Alexey and Mark were both highly skilled at their jobs and were very professional. The oak hardwood floors were on an existing 75 year old home and they did a great job lacing in wood in spots, installing flooring where it had not been before, and bringing back some parts of the floor that were covered with adhesive from old flooring. I would highly recommend them to friends.

Working with Aleksey was nothing but positive. He did a great job with the floors, came in almost a grand under other quotes we got, and is just a great, funny guy. Aleksey even came in on a weekend after his work was done and he was paid to help us out with a few other things around the house. Our floors look beautiful and he left our house clean when he was done. I would have no hesitation hiring Aleksey again or recommending him to somebody we know.

They were responsive to all our questions. They showed up when they said they would. Mark came on the first day and worked very hard throughout the week. Alexy came on Tuesday and also worked hard all week. The attention to detail was amazing. We love the floors. They look amazing!

Aleksey and his crew did a great job. They showed when they said they would, did not try to sell me or charge me for things I did not want and exceeded our expectations in every way. I would definitely use AVA again if I have another floor job in the future.

Aleskey returned calls promptly and showed up for all appointments on time. He was very easy to communicate with and provided detailed description on the options we had for refinishing or replacing our damaged floor. We choice to replace the floor and went with Red Oak. Prior to the work beginning, Aleskey and Mark put plastic sheeting up in the house to protect other areas from dust. The demo of the old floor was done in less than a day and the install was completed on schedule. We moved out for two days while the finishing work was done and we came home to beautiful floors. Since our homeowner's insurance was covering the replacement of our floor we had additional "paperwork" requirements. Aleksey worked with our insurance requirements without a problem. I met with several other local (Vancouver, WA) flooring contractors prior to choosing AVA Construction. None of the other contractors had Aleksey's level of craftsmanship. Other contractors were all about competing on price but Aleksey is a true craftsman and you can tell by the quality of the work (and his price was competitive!). We are very pleased with our new floors. They will be a beautiful addition to our home for many years to come. I would not hesitate to recommend AVA Construction for anyone interested in wood floor installation or refinishing.

Aleksey was prompt, professional, and courteous. He gave us a very fare estimate and we scheduled a time for the job. Aleksey and Marc ( his co-worker) showed up on time and they did an excellent job of doing our Maple hardwood floors. They exceeded our expectations. Aleksey and Mark were professional, respectful, prompt, and very helpful throughout the entire project. The project scope included removal of existing hardwood, linoleum, carpet throughout the entire house (2500 square feet), and installing five inch Brazilian Cherry hardwood flooring. Initially, I had planned to install hardwood flooring in the first floor and the stairs. After this phase of the project was completed, I decided to do the second floor. The first floor and stairs looked so beautiful, I was instantly convinced that the second floor should be hardwood flooring. Aleksey was prompt and very helpful in responding to my request to include the second floor in the project scope. Since I had just started a new job and was very busy, Aleksey worked within my schedule, and managed the entire project for me. This included ordering flooring and other materials that looked perfect with the wood I had purchased for the first floor and stairs. AVA construction is the best contractor I have ever hired. I would highly recommend them to those seeking a reliable, excellent, and cost effective hardwood flooring installer.

From the very start of the project the team was very professional. They came on time, were very neat and completed the project early. The work was beautiful and worth every penny. All around a fantastic experience!

An AVA construction representative came to my home by request for an estimate for hard wood floor installation. He was quick and efficient with his measurements. Then he sat down with with me and discussed the details of what was to be done to give me the flooring that I desired. I ultimately did not utilize his estimate but would highly recommend him to future client.

Had several bids and decided to go with Alexy. He was professional, prompt, and right on schedule. Alexy and his man Mark installed our floor. They put several samples on the floor for us to choose from. The job they did was absolutely beautiful. My wife and I highly recommend them.

The owner was very good about responding to our initial request for an estimate and then to questions/feedback throughout the process. He, as well as his assistant, were friendly, courteous, and professional. They did their best to accommodate our schedule and were willing to provide many helpful suggestions. Great job. Almost dustless from what I've seen in other homes when this process was done. Great care to our home, baseboards, trim, etc. Punctual. Friendly. Very respectful team. Expensive venture in terms of cost and time, but the floors look amazing.

From the moment Aleksey came to the house to do the bid I felt comfortable with him. He was professional and respectful. Aleksey had a great team who also were in the same league as him. At no time did I feel uncomfortable or questioning any of the work. The house was always cleaned up at the end of the day. Every day Aleksey and team were on time (seriously contractors on time)! They worked hard with very few breaks. The extras were the things that made Aleksey the best... hauling away my old stuff to the dump, moving the furniture, allowing me to work from home, working around my schedule on when I could empty a room, and respecting my cats. Wow! There is a reason AVA has 100% on Angie's. He knows his stuff. When our carpets were removed upstairs, they revealed several large pieces of plywood and a section of fir that was in bad shape. On the spot, he offers us three options. We chose to replace the damaged portions. He and his helper, Mark, were cheerful and uncomplaining. When he realized that the additional time to replace the fir was going to push our schedule back a week, he volunteered to work until 10 one night to keep us on time. Afterward, I even heard the painters talking among themselves about what an excellent job they did. Everything is gleaming and beautiful.

He did all the clean up. It was great. They were prompt and they always kept us in the loop about what they will do that day and when he will do certain work. He also did the stairs for us which turned out very beautiful. He seems to be an artist. I would recommend them to anyone. They are very professional.

We had spent a month searching for hardwood specialists and our old company we used was out of business; another one gave us an estimate but never returned our calls and emails; others didn't respond. We were frustrated and searched Angie's list. I called Alexey at AVA Construction, left a message and he got back to me right away. He came over the next day right on time to give us an estimate. He made my day saying he could fit in the job that week. I was thrilled. He and another person arrived on time two days later, very professional and ready to get the job done. We have two kids and a dog and a busy life and we were not affected at all by all their work. We trusted them to come and go as they needed to. The floors look AMAZING. They paid very close attention to detail, made the floors look brand new. The price was fair and I was extremely happy with their work. If you need your floors refinished, CALL Alexey! If we need new floors or need any work done in the future, we will call him. Why can't all companies operate like AVA Construction? What a breathe of fresh air!! Thank you Alexey!

Aleksey is a true professional at his trade. We left on vacation and left our house in Aleksey's hands. He stayed in touch with us and kept us informed on the progress and notified us when the job was finished. The work was completed on schedule. When we returned our floors looked absolutely amazing. They look brand new. Our floor has a lot of inside and outside corners making the job very labor intensive. The stain is perfect and I cannot find a single flaw. Aleksey recommended a satin finish over gloss. It is perfect. I was also surprised at the small amount of dust left behind. My neighbor had his floors done the month before by a recommended friend of a friend. He paid $800 more than I did. His house was full of dust. They did not tape anything before staining the floor. His base board was covered with stain and it also got on the walls. When my neighbor saw the job Aleksey did on my house he couldn't believe it. I highly recommend AVA Construction.

He is SO detail oriented. He got right up to the baseboards, wove in some hardwood in some damaged areas and completed the project a day early despite losing a day because of a power outage. He was straightforward, honest, and wonderful. I will definitely use him again if I have the need.

Aleksey came on specified time and provided us a bid the same day that was on the low end compared to other bids we had. He was responsive to our needs, offered his advise but was not puhshing us to do what we did not want. He was very accomodating to our schedule. He worked with 2 other people and project was completed in 2 weeks. We have other project that we plan to complete at a later time and we plan to hire him for that project as well.

We are very pleased with our new floor. Aleksey is clearly a seasoned craftsman and it shows in his work. He arrived punctually each day and finished the job almost half a day early! He cleaned up thoroughly during and after the job. He kept us informed and involved in all design-related decisions. Alexi came the day after I called to give me a quote. With the 20% off Angie's List coupon, not only was his quote the lowest, but from the pictures he showed, his work was the best. He came by a second time to answer some more questions before I told him I had selected Ava construction. Alexi was very understanding of all my questions and complete lack of knowledge about wood floors and the process of installing them. He gave me a final price and timeline of three weeks and the process began. Once the job had started, it went smoothly and quickly. Alexi and his crew left a clean work area every night after they left. I was nervous about leaving people alone in my house, but there were no problems. During the process Alexi answered all of questions so I understood what was going on and why things were the way they were. Alexi even fixed issues with trim around the doors, which was not part of our deal. All of my concerns were addressed quickly and without complaint. The floors were finished a whole week early and looked amazing. Several weeks after the install I noticed two chips in the floor. I called Alexi, he was over ASAP and fixed the chips. Alexi is a truly talented craftsman that I would recommend to anybody. He is willing to help the costumer in anyway he can to make sure they are happy and satisfied. I am extremely happy with the service provided by Alexi and Ava Construction.

He was on time, truly professional, quite an artist, and conscientious about his work. He deployed plastic and used a shop vac during the actual cutting and we found no wayward dust after he finished. His repair of the warped floor was wonderful, and would take a trained eye and directions to the spot to even locate his work. He was polite, punctual, articulate, and quite responsive to my wife's schedule. He did just what we asked of him and would hire him again at any time.

I had a very specific window in which I needed the work done. He was super responsive and was able to accommodate my schedule. I received three bids and his bid was in the middle price-wise. All three were highly rated on Angie's List. I selected AVA because Alexsey was incredibly specific about the price, detailed about what he would do and provided specific dates on when he could start the work and when he would finish it by. The floors look great and he finished ahead of schedule. He is incredibly professional and great to work with. I would highly recommend him.

Alexey and his crew did a great job. From the initial proposal and bid through completion of the project, Alexey clearly communicated the plan and kept us apprised of the progress. When he found that the underlying support was inadequate in places, he added new supports without changing the total cost.
