Description of Work: Recently had all the hardwood flooring in my house refinished by AVA Construction. Aleksy and his team did a fantastic job, and the floors look terrific! Everything was done on time, I felt the price was fair (not the lowest bid, but not the highest) and the results were worth every penny. I would definitely hire AVA Construction again!

Description of Work: Aleksey and his crew refinished our hardwood floors and stairs in preparation for us listing our home. They did a GREAT job. The floors look wonderful, everything was professionally finished, the area was cleaned up -- highly recommend. Even a construction friend who was doing some work for us at the same time made a point of letting me know how impressed he was with the work being performed. Description of Work: AVA (Alexi) was outstanding. His price was competitive, showed up on time, left the work area clean every night, and the finished hard wood floors were beautiful.

Description of Work: They installed new wood floor in my living room. They sanded the existing wood floors which had been damaged by water. As a result, the sanded floors matched up with the new floor--just fabulous! We are very happy with the results! They were very professional, courteous and friendly and they cleaned up behind themselves.

Description of Work: A tenant had done some extensive water damage to the wood floors in the living and dining room of my rental. I found the A rating's referral for AVA Construction on Angie's list for wood floor repairs. I called and reached Alexi. I was in a bit of a time crunch to have the estimate done. He made time to come the day I called and showed up at the time he agreed. He examained the floor, wrote an estimate, gave me some finishing options and made a schedule to complete the work. When it was time to do the work, AVA construction showed up and made the wood floor repairs as promised and on schedule. The floor looked like new when I met with him to inspect the work prior to making the final payment. The price was a little on the high side for my budget, but worth it in the end as his promptness, keeping his word and the lovely finished floor made it worthwhile. I would highly recommend Alexi and AVA Construction.

Description of Work: He provide an estimate for hardwood flooring. My husband wanted to do the project himself. He wanted to put in the woodfloor himself. The gentleman that came was very nice.

Description of Work: Removed the carpet and the woodworks.Installed the hardwood floors, sand and stained.Started on the 30th and finished on the 10th of December. We had a discussion regarding his policy of getting 50% right away the moment he entered my house. Apparently he mentioned that to me when we met the first time he came.The way I understood it was that I would pay him at the end of the day. I do not believe in paying someone right away before even lifting a finger. I told him that I always pay my bill and had never bounced checks in my whole life. If he does not trust me, then there was no use starting a working relationship. We discussed it further and we agreed to do it on my terms.The week before I had a tree company cut a tree and pruned several more and when the job was finished I was the one who called the company to pay without waiting for them to call me even though they forgot to save the woods for my use. I paid them and did not get upset. A couple of days later, the owner of the company came over and brought me some birch firewoods to my surprise.So that is the way it goes, when you are nice to people, people responds in some other nice way to you. Overall, he did an excellent job and I was quite pleased. Tonight, my husband asked for his name because one of his co-workers need some floor installed so I gave him his name and phone number.

Description of Work: Alex installed 800 SF of unfinished oak flooring, along with about 30 foot of unfinished oak riser/bull nose for our sunken living room. He also performed the tear-out of our old carpet and particle board, and screwed every 2x6 tongue-and-groove plank subfloor to the floor joists to eliminate squeaks. He's my hero.
