Plumbing, Drain Cleaning, Sewer Cleaning,

About us

Local, family owned business which employs only licensed, journeyman plumbers and does not use subcontractors for any plumbing or drain cleaning related services provided. 45 successful years of experience in the plumbing industry. This means that you, our customers, are not paying for all of that unnecessary advertising either. It's also how we are able to provide the great service that we and our customers expect while charging rates that are lower than our competition. You will always know and approve the cost of the job before we begin any work. There will never be any surprises when you see our final invoice. Award winning. Description of Work: I used this company once before, in Nov. 2014 and the price was reasonable and the service person, Darrel, was great. We even give a Thanksgiving toast to Darrel the plumber for saving our holiday dinner experience. | |In June, I called the company to fix two outside faucets and I was grossly overcharged however I didn't know that until I searched Angie's list providers after the work was done. I should have done that search first, rather than to rely on my first great experience. (Darrel the plumber). So buyer beware, don't expect the same level of service every time. Check it out every time. Learn from my bad experience with this company.

Description of Work: I called about our bathtub that had a continuous small stream of water coming out of the spout. They scheduled an appointment for the same day and gave me a time estimate of between 2-4. I received a call around noon from the plumber, saying he could come earlier if that was acceptable, which was great for my schedule. The service provider (Bill?) was excellent! He was informative, efficient, and pleasantly funny. He identified the problem quickly, replaced the part and helped me prioritize some future services. Great experience all around.

Description of Work: I had a clogged drain in the bathroom. I left the room for a minute, the plumber had stated that he tried to snake the drain, and the u-pipe broke in the process. He was replacing the pipes, as far he could from the bathroom-side. He did not have a piece to fit over the hole in the wall, and left the ugly hole exposed. I called and complained, he returned and just hooked a round, metal piece over the pipe; it did not fit against the wall hole ... and he charged me another $10.00. If I had preference, I would not use this plumbing service again.

Description of Work: Provided free diagnosis of the water leak issue and an estimate. Their estimate was a bit high, so I did not get service from them. After checking with other service providers, their estimate seemed to have included charges for the diagnosis. | |They were punctual and professional. They did not make me feel obligated to get the service because I took their free diagnosis. | |I would consider keeping them on my list for applicable service.

We had sewage back-up into our basement and started calling around for someone to come out same day (a Sunday). Plumbing and Drain Co was the third company we called and they indicated that someone could be there in an hour to an hour and a half. I asked for the cost to have someone come out and was told that the staff in the call center don't have pricing information but that the person dispatched would provide cost information before doing any work. I agreed and Randy from Plumbing and Drain Co arrived in an hour as promised. When Randy arrived, I described the issue and he suggested that he put a scope down the clean-out to investigate the issue and also to clean out the line. I asked about cost and he said $329 + tax. The price seemed high compared to prices I had seen on Angie's List for sewer line cleanout, but I wanted the issue dealt with so I agreed. If Randy had just cleaned the line and left, Plumbing and Drain co would probably have received mostly A's with maybe a B on price, but . . . When Randy scoped the line, he said that we had a major issue and that part of our line was broken. He said that we would need to dig a trench to get to the line (through our concrete walkway) to have the line fixed. He estimated $4295 to have the work done. Since it was going to be such a major expense, I called another company to come out for an alternate bid. When they scoped the line, they couldn't find the so called and quot;breakand quot; that Randy had identified. I trusted the second opinion more because he offered us the recording of the scope (which Randy did not) and we also had the line scoped 2 years ago and there were no issues then. So, I'm not giving them an F because I'm willing to believe that maybe Randy actually did think that he saw a break, I just recommend if you use this company to be skeptical if they tell you the line is broken. Always get a second opinion.
Description of Work: Scoped and cleaned sewer line after sewage back-up in basement. Tried to get us to pay over $4000 to fix a broken sewer line that did not exist. (Second opinion could not locate the supposed break).

Today, I noticed and quot;the Big Dealand quot; in my email; remembering that I had a toilet that had remained plugged through a 2-week vacation and that it was now 2-weeks since returning I decided that I better get it repaired before my mother arrived from out of town. I was not sure that and quot; The Big Dealand quot; was what I needed, so went to Go Rooter / The Plumbing and Drain Co’s web site and used the request form to enquire if they service came across the Narrows Bridge. Within an hour or so Brian had responded by email to let me know they did. One more email/text exchange and Brian said they could be out today! Brain called to learn a bit more about the issues and said someone could be out within an hour or so. I was fully prepared to hear that they could come out on Monday – or later. As promised, Eric arrived within an hour. He was professional and very personable… and took my overly friendly doggie zealots in stride. Within a few minutes he had identified the primary issue with the blocked line, consulted with me on the schedule (which was transparent and clearly outlined), and then went to work. He also fixed a slow sink in the master bath and a similar issue in the upstairs tub… above and beyond, Eric helped me carry out a heavy wool rug for airing (THANK YOU, by the way!). Within an hour or so all work was done – and water again flowed freely This is the first time I have had to call on a plumber in over 25 years of home ownership both in the U.S. and abroad – the experience was profound considering the subject matter! It was interesting to learn that Eric had started his career in the banking industry. Though, I am sure the qualifications prepared him well for this profession. Thank you, Eric – I hope you thoroughly enjoy your first weekend reprieve! … Have you ever plumbed a hot tub?

Randy was very professional and I think he did a high quality job. I would definately call this company back to handle ANY of my future plumbing problems. I am very pleased with the job and I don't anticipate having a water problem this winter.
Description of Work: Originally I asked them to come over and check my toilets, based on a coupon special through Angies List. While he was here, I had Randy check an exterior downspout. He took the downspout apart, shoved a camera in the drain and jetted out the packed needles. This downspout has been overflowing for quite some time and Randy solved the problem.

I could hardly believe it when I called and Brian Harding, the owner, said they would have someone out in an hour and 15 minutes. And then Randy Sak arrived in about an hour! Both guys were very friendly and professional, the price was great, and they saved me a lot of time on this very busy day. So glad to find a plumber in this area I feel I can trust. I look forward to using them again!
Description of Work: I'd been putting off calling a plumber because the last plumber I had employed was such a disaster. Then Angie's List came out with a Big Deal - 5-Point Toilet Tune-Up. The upstairs toilet would run continuously after flushing. Randy Sak, a service manager for The Plumbing & Drain Company / Go Rooter, arrived and promptly fixed the problem.

Eric arrived on time. He finished the work in a timely manner. He was informative, polite, and very professional with a fun personality. I like having the problems and solutions explained to me. He cleaned up when he finished repairing each area. I believe the pricing was fair. I would definitely call him again and I would highly recommend him to my friends and neighbors. It feels so good to have a water tight home once again.
Description of Work: We had a home plumbing inspection done as we knew we had some areas of concern and we noticed a marked increase in our utility bill over the past year. Eric pointed out our problem areas and gave us an estimate for work to be performed. He came back the following week and did the following. He replaced a new flapper and fill valve in the Master bathroom toilet to stop it from leaking. The bathtub drain had a leak under the house and needed new piping which he replaced. He tightened the bathroom sink faucet. Our kitchen faucet was leaking and he replaced a new cartridge and diverter. He also found that our house water pressure was very low.

Eric called before he came just as I was told beforehand, and he showed up in the 2-hour time window I was previously given. Although no repair or replacement work was performed, the professionalism was very much appreciated. All my questions were answered directly, and Eric even gave helpful DIY advice for little jobs. He took his time during the inspection and didn't rush through any part of the house. As mentioned before, the professionalism was very much appreciated, and I'd call Eric when my water heater reaches its end of life.

I put a service request in their website after several calls to other plumbing companies and being disappointed that they couldn't give me the immediate attention that I needed. Brian called me back within the hour and said someone could see me in 3 hours. He called back 5 mins later and changed it to an hour and a half. I was so happy! Eric arrived on time--maybe even 5 mins early. He was super friendly and went right to work. Quickly, he removed dry wall and the leaking pipe and replaced it with a part he went to buy. Shortly after, I paid an invoice that was less than what I thought a job like that would cost. I was pleasantly surprised and knew I'd found myself a permanent plumber.

I put a message on their website explaining my problem. They called me within an hour or so to set up an appointment for that very afternoon. Randy came out during the time frame we discussed and went down into our crawlspace to look around with a flashlight. He inspected all the sewer pipes in this way asking me questions the whole time. He didn't find any leaks or signs of any past leakages. He then inspected around the outside. We determined that gasses from an outdoor sewer pump area may be wafting out and in through the crawlspace vent causing the odor. He gave me an idea to try to prevent this from happening that I can do myself. I also asked him about a toilet upstairs that didn't seem to be flushing properly. He looked at it for me and fixed it in a couple of seconds. He left and didn't charge us a thing. I'm very pleased and will hire them in a second whenever we need plumbing help in the future!

I called The Plumbing and Drain Company and spoke with Brian. I never expected that he would have someone come out within two hours for a non-emergency, but Randy, the Service Manager, called me within an hour, and showed up 45 minutes later! He was pleasant and knowledgable. He tried to fix one of the faucets by just replacing the washer, but it needed more than that. He cut through the dry wall in the garage to access the water pipe, and fixed the faucet. He also left me an access hatch, at my request. I would not hesitate to use this company again! At last I've found a plumber that I can trust to do a good job!

I was told I needed to replace my hot water heater with a gas, direct vent water heater by my electrician. I shopped around and found these run about $900 and also would need to purchase additional parts. They suggested that since the electrician was rewiring the house that we purchase an electric water heater for $204.00. This saved me hundreds of dollars and they installed for free as they were doing additional work for me. I had them install my dishwasher, kitchen sink, bathroom sinks and check that all plumbing in our home was functioning correctly. WOW!! How refreshing it is to find an honest, ethical, hard working plumbing company!!!
Description of Work: I called The Plumbing and Drain Company as I just purchased a home that needed new sinks, faucets, water heater etc. They were prompt and cheerful and came to the house within a few hours as they knew I wanted this done right away. They gave me a free bid and let me know how much it would cost. They gave me suggestions on how to reduce the costs by purchasing an electric water heater rather than a gas, direct vent water heater. They replaced my hot water heater. Also installed my dishwasher, kitchen sink/faucet, bathroom sink /faucet and checked that all plumbing was functioning correctly.

I feel blessed to have found The Plumbing and Drain Company. They are the most honest, ethical, knowledgeable plumbers I have come across. My tenants called saying the toilet was backed up and the sink was slow to drain and that the kitchen sink was leaking and the dishwasher was slow to drain. I immediately called Eric at the Plumbing and Drain Company. He came out right away and assessed the problem, snaked the drain, texted me a photo, gave me a free estimate and asked how I wished to proceed. Eric replaced the sewer pipe that had been broken due to tree roots. He dug 4 feet under a sidewalk, replaced the pipe, etc. He did this in 1 day which thrilled my tenant and put everything back the way it belonged. In addition, he went through the whole house and checked my plumbing. He fixed the dishwasher and the sink that was leaking at no additional charge. Other companies would have charged between $5,000 to $10,000, but Eric only charged me $1,100 and had the job done the same day!! There is no job too big or too small for these guys. I refer all my friends and family to them.
Description of Work: I have found my lifelong plumbers!! I have them on my speed dial and their response time and assistance go over and above all other plumbers I have used. They are prompt, cheerful and courteous (even when I ask dumb questions). I have many rental homes and my tenants love them as well. Most of my rentals are very old which means there are many problems and I am constantly needing help. I ALWAYS have them look at homes I am thinking of purchasing prior to making a decision ~ as some of these are very old homes. I have them snake the sewer pipe and take photos for me. They have saved me thousands of dollars and plenty of bad decisions. I hate to give them such a high recommendation as I am afraid of losing them :-) but want to help other people avoid making the same mistakes I have made ~ hiring the wrong plumbers. My tenants called saying the toilet was backed up, the kitchen sink was leaking and the dishwasher was slow to drain. I immediately called Eric at the Plumbing and Drain Company. He came out right away and assessed the problem, snaked the drain, texted me a photo, gave me a free estimate and asked how I wished to proceed. In older homes tree roots can grow through the pipes and cause them to break. Eric had to dig 4 feet under a sidewalk, replace the pipe, etc. He did this in 1 days which thrilled my tenants and put everything back the way it belonged. In addition, he went through the whole house and checked my plumbing. He fixed the dishwasher and the sink that was leaking at no additional charge.
