The Plumbing & Drain Company - Go Rooter

I'd tried myself to fix the toilet - the result was (after 2-3 hrs), it leaked worse than before. So I said, and quot;I'm doneand quot;, and called The Plumbing and Drain Company - Go Rooter. I called at 2:45pm today, and the responsiveness was amazing! The plumber was here within 30 minutes, and the job was done quickly and professionally. I'm very satisfied with the work performed. I'll definitely use this company again.

Overall it went good. The representative was very professional and prompt. There was a leak afterwards but the plumber came back at no additional charge to fix. The only downside was that the materials were charged at twice as much as what we could have bought ourselves but maybe that is normal in the industry.

Had a 25 year-old water heater burst into a fountain last winter in my garage. Luckily, an Angie's List coupon was available for plumbing at that time. While I ultimately spoke with all of the 3 main and quot;plumber partnersand quot; that make up The Plumbing and Drain Co., Eric called back within an hour or two of me leaving my first message. Scheduling with Randy was very easy, and he accommodated my work schedule without any problems. Randy was the plumber who actually showed up exactly as agreed to install the new water heater I had purchased. Because I am a widow, I've had to quickly learn about household issues which I know very little. I always hope to learn and understand more re: the problems that suddenly appear around the house (electrical, plumbing, roof, etc.). So far, I've been very lucky to have repair persons come over who have been comfortable with me watching their work and asking a few questions -- so patience in people hired have been a huge and quot;plusand quot; for me -- and Randy and quot;fit the billand quot; in all aspects of compatibility, while being courteous and efficiently/ quickly installing the water heater. While I researched and purchased my own new water heater, and disconnected/ discarded the old one, the total cost would have been comparable if I had the heater and installation done by The Plumbing and Drain Co. I was very pleased with the work. These gentlemen will definitely be and quot;my plumbers for any future needs that arise -- thanks!

The plumber came out on time and did the video inspection immediately.

There is a difference of opinion on if they or I mixed up the date they were to show up for following work.

After about 30 minutes of trying to snake the tub drain, he used a scope to diagnose further. The scope indicated something weird was going on from the tub drain to the main drain. He then suggested we cut into the back wall behind the tub, which he did. Upon inspection, it showed that the drain pipe used was an and quot;accordianand quot; style, and the line has serious leaks draining into the grould under slab. He then drafted up an estimate to fix the problem, which involved removing the tub. At that point, I pretty much decided it was time to remodel the entire bath, which we did.

Called company to make an appointment. Sink and faucet were installed but not connected to water source and drain. I needed someone quick as we needed water in the kitchen. When I called I asked if they had an opening for that day, and they said they did. Appointment was made for the same day. Plumber called and told me when he was coming. He showed up in a timely manner and was very courteous and professional. He took a look at the job and showed me a written estimate. Work was complete in about 1.5 hours. Piping looks clean and no leaks. I would hire them again. Plumbers name was Mark, I believe.

Unfortunately, they... 1) Replaced what I think was likely a perfectly good drain pipe (a nice, solid metal pipe) with a cheap PVC pipe. This matters because the pipe is exposed in my basement, and I've been nervous moving furniture past it because it seems like it could pretty easily break if a couch runs into it. 2) Didn't fix the problem. After they left, we ran the washer and the same thing happened. I decided to do it myself, and within 10 minutes of inspecting all of the pipes, realized that the tailpiece wasn't connected to the pipe at all. I know nothing about plumbing (I had to Google what part of the sink the tailpiece is), and it was pretty obvious where the problem was. Since I don't know much about plumbing, it took me several hours to get all the right pieces from Lowes, but once I got it done, nothing's leaked since. ...that being said, sometimes you miss things, so I don't necessarily fault them. But based on just this one experience, I'm not impressed with their problem-solving skills and wouldn't hire them again.

Called on Saturday morning and they had someone there that afternoon, who was very thorough and explained everything in detail. Cleared the drain on the first go and we have had no problems since. Excellent job and very fair price, no extra charge for same day and Saturday appointment. Would definitely use again.

Moving here from TX, I was extremely shocked at plumbing rates. This company seemed to have comparable rates to other companies in the area. The service man was professional and friendly. He also completed the job rather quickly.

We needed very specific services to be completed in a specific time frame. This company gave us a reasonable estimate but they were HONEST and up front that they were unable to meet all of our needs so they suggested another company that could possibly better serve us. To me that was just amazing!

It has been a while when the service is performed, this is one of many services we used in the process of purchase and move into a new house. The representative arrived on time, he is also very kind an responsive to answer some questions I had at that time. I do not have anything to complain about the individual. The overall process went too fast though from my perspective, less than 30mins if I remember accurately, I'm new to the house so I can not ask too many questions at that time, but I was expecting a bit more with the $99 big deal. Today what I only recall is that he told me everything is fine and leave a phone number to call if anything happens in the future.

Over all I would say it went fine. I would have liked a more detailed written document regarding the larger project, so he would remember what he had said if/when I decide to do the work in the spring. I was hoping to meet a plumber through the big deal coupon who I could develop a relationship with that was strong enough to just schedule the other work. I would say do a better job of clarifying how the bigger job would be done and what I could expect so I would feel really comfortable about using their services for the bigger job. As it is I will get several more estimates to see if there are other plumbers who are more capable of defining the larger project more clearly with me, to give the impression that they really want to understand what it is all about, that they take the time to help me understand what and quot;stuff' might come up which would add to the cost, how long it might take, etc. So theactual work he did was just fine. He might have gotten more work with better communication regarding how his company would approach my larger plumbling project.

I used an Angie's List Big Deal for this service and was quite pleased. Our toilet was running long after being flushed and he immediately knew what was causing the problem, had the replacement part in his truck, charged me a reasonable price for the part, and included the repair as part of my Big Deal. The toilet has been properly functioning ever since.

Overall it was a good experience. I would use them again.

I had a fabulous experience with this company. I called them to cash in a coupon for service when my upstairs bathroom sink began to run slowly and black sludge began spewing periodically out of my basement shower drain. It was a pretty ugly situation! The plumber who came out to my home was incredibly helpful and professional. Not only did he clear our drains - it's been 3 months now and no recurring problems- but he educated me on how to figure out the root of my shower flooding issues and how to prevent future problems. I have never had a plumber explain the problem and solution so patiently and so clearly before. What this gentleman told me made sense and fixed our problems. In the past, we had plumbers out to fix this very problem and their solution was to run a snake down the shower drain. One previous plumber warned me that our pipes might be in imminent danger of massive problems that could run into the tens of thousands in repair costs. His solution was for me to spend several thousand having the pipes inspected via camera. The plumber from The Plumbing and Drain Company - Go Rooter, did not run a snake down the shower drain. Instead, he went to the root of the problem and cleaned our plumbing line from the cleanout located in a wall. Previously, I had not even been aware that such a thing as a and quot;cleanoutand quot; existed. As I mentioned earlier, no previous plumber had ever looked at ours before. As a result, for this plumber to check our two cleanouts, he had to wrestle with our laundry machine and somehow unscrew two separate pipes that were rusty (and in one case, painted shut). It really seems like a dire situation to me, but our plumber persevered with a cheerful attitude and successfully cleared 13 years of grease and kitchen gunk out of the line. The shower drain and upstairs sink ran like a charm after that. We are super happy with the service and with the ultimate result.

ongoing toilet clogging in a rental house, other company responded several weeks ago, very expensive, did not solve the problem; The Plumbing and Drain company, again, was super responsive, took care of the issue and provided a clear explanation and potential follow up.

I honestly couldn't believe what happened during this visit. It started off well enough, and he figured out that our pipes were clogged. Of course, that is what I told them when I called. However, in trying to fix it, he had trouble finding the access valve (just on the opposite side of the wall from the pipe he needed access to) then pondered the idea that water would get all over the floor if he opened the valve. In a stroke of inspiration, he thought he might go get his bucket so the water would not, in fact, spill all over the floor. He did, surprisingly, manage to unclog our pipes and all still seems to be well even a month or so after the visit. Despite the bucket, I was left with puddles and mud streaks on the floor, even after he said he had cleaned up. Suffice it to say I will not be calling on this company next time.

Mark answered all our questions explaining the location and nature of the blockage. He reset the toilet, tested all the fixtures in the house to ensure proper flushing, and then cleaned up the workspace. He also told us that the type of repair he did qualified for a company discount. We would highly recommend Mark. He was professional, honest, knowledgeable and friendly.

Needed a sluggish drain snaked. It had been problematic ever since I bought the house and I assumed it was because the pipe wasn't angled steeply enough due to the the original construction of the system. Ihad snaked it myself a couple of times, which brought slight and only temporary improvement, and figured I had to resign myself to living with the poor design. I took advantage of a $125 fixed-price Angie's coupon deal. Plumbing and Drain--Go Rooter snaked it professionally and the system has been clear-running and efficient ever since. The plumber also offered some helpful tips to keep it clear. The plumber worked quickly and efficiently and left no mess. There was a mix-up in the scheduling, but they were able to adjust the appointment over the phone so I that I didn't have to wait an additional day. The company apparently has branches in the Puget Sound area, so in spite of headquarters being in Sumner, the distance to my house in Seattle was not a factor. I continue to be very pleased with the result.

We were remodeling our bathrooms and the projects kept getting more extravagant as we went along. I purchased a Big Deal for two hours. They were able to move our toilet a few inches away from the wall without cutting from underneath and for hundreds less than other plumbers. I liked them so much I had them come and install our new whirlpool tub. The tub was a few inches bigger than the old tub, so they moved over the plumbing and redid the shower so that it came from the ceiling. They did a good job overall, but it was fraught with issues. The first guys they sent in couldn't put the tub in, so they had someone else come do it. At one point there were four guys over working on this. I told them that it would need cement under the tub for reinforcement. I have a background in construction management and know what I'm talking about. They insisted that we didn't need cement. I was seven months pregnant and too tired to argue. They installed and ran the tub and left, hours longer than expected, but did a good job. They even helped move the old steel tub downstairs (these were big, strong guys!) After they left, I double checked the instructions and crawled under the tub to inspect it - not an easy feat considering how rotund I was. It needed cement. There was absolutely no reinforcement. If I or even my seven year old son had stepped in that fiberglass tub, it would have broken through. So, I called them up and even had to send them a PDF of the instillation instructions. The two owners realized that they messed up and showed up on Sunday to fix it (yes, I had three plumbers over on a Sunday to rectify a mistake). A few days later I had them back because the tub faucet had the wrong piping, but they came right over to fix it. Overall, it was a little frustrating, but I think how a business rectifies its mistakes is as important as how well of a job they do. They took care of everything right away and didn't charge me for those items. I have since had Randy over a few times to fix the broken drain, which is apparently the fault of the expensive, but poorly made drain trap. The one issue I'd like to see improved is their answering service is not at all personal. No matter how many times you call, you have to give them them your info over and over again as if you were new. The operators are nice, but they should have a Customer Service Management system to record such info. Plumbers are really expensive, they should remember me. Now, I just call them on their cell phone if I need something. Thanks for the great work. I'll use them again.

The service was great. The workers were on time for the job. They were all very courteous and professional as well. I would recommend them.

Actually, the services we bought on special were not required, the serviceman did an initial inspection of the plugged yard/driveway drain and found a obscure catch/transfer basin that was plugged,but easily cleaned. He said the money we paid would be credited to any further work if we needed. The company promptly responded once I made the initial contact, and the serviceman arrived as scheduled. It went fine, wish I had looked harder for the plugged basin, just assumed it was a plugged drain pipe.

lt went well -- the plumbing is over 70 years old, and even though it wasn't a simple fix with a plumbing snake, we know what our options are and we will call Go Rooter and have them do the work when we are ready for the permanent repair!
