Mercurio's Heating & Air Conditioning

They were awesome. They were more than awesome. My heat didn’t work and I live in Tacoma in Seattle and I was freezing. It was working and then not working. I set up an appointment with them after going on Angie’s List. I set it up and two days later my heat went completely. My heat was out for almost 2 days. I was shivering and my husband asked me to turn on the heater but I told him it was not working. They were set up to come on Friday and on Tuesday or Wednesday I called them and asked if they could come earlier. They came that very morning and they are just awesome. They are just really good. They were very reasonable. They told me about how much it was going to cost and they were right there. They were really reasonable and I just loved them. They were really good with everything. They were good with customer service, coming over, telling you what is going on and everything especially when the man of the house is not there. Sometimes when you are alone you feel like you are taken advantage of but I didn’t feel I was taken advantage of at all.

They were extremely professional. They took a lot of time to determine what size of furnace we needed. They measured all the rooms and looked at insulation. They offered a service of doing a really complete home energy analysis if you bought a furnace from them. They also offered the first year maintenance at no charge. They showed up on time for all the appointments. The installers were very competent. They did a very nice job. I was very impressed with these people. I didn’t get a lot of bids, but I think that the price was good.

After calling 3 other vendors (none even came out to look at the furnace) all of whom said my furnace was obsolete and they did not make parts for it anymore, I called Mercurio and they came by on a Saturday and after an hour had the furnace up and running. The part the other vendors said was obsolete-Mercurio's had it in their van.

He quickly identified the problem. He had a replacement motor in his truck and he installed it and tested it. The service was quick and professional.

My house was cold last night when I got home from work, and freezing this morning even though I had turned up the thermostat before going to bed. Something had died and I was afraid it was the whole furnace, as it is almost 20 years old and we're expecting it any time. I called Mercurio's because of the good reviews on this site and because they were local. That was at about 9:30am. Jeff was here within an hour, and done with the job less than an hour after that! My house is warm again and I didn't have to replace the furnace (although we did discuss that option for the near future, but there was no high pressure sales pitch at all which I appreciated). It was only the ignitor switch that needed replaced and $140 would have fixed that, but I opted to have him perform much needed system maintenance while he was here as well, and purchased the 2-visit contract. I didn't do a ton of research as I was freezing and wanted it fixed quickly, but I am very happy with the result. Thanks!

We have a Trane gas furnace. It failed to come on, no heat, no blower. We called Mercurio's this afternoon and the furnace was repaired about an hour later! When we called, they said the service man would be here within the hour. Marvin was here about 30 minutes later. He replaced a fuse, cleaned the burners, and cleaned the flame sensor. He was done a few minutes after arriving. The charge was $95, but we used the Angie's List coupon for $20 and the final bill came to $81.98. VERY HAPPY!

I was very pleased with the service they provided. The sales person that came out and the technician were both very professional. The system work great and I couldn't be happier. I would recommend them to anyone in the future.

After a quick overview of the many listings on Angies List, I selected Mercurios because it was a smaller local company and received many positive reviews. The service technician was prompt and courteous. He found the reason for the lack of heat, in that one of the heating elements (three total) had never been connected since original instillation. The filter was pretty clogged up also, so I purchased an additional replacement filter case from him. When the furnace was fired up using the new digital thermostat, there was a strong flow of toasty air. I have no idea if the price charged was reasonable, because I have never serviced an electric furnace previously. All I know is that I am a happy customer.

The estimate process was honest and comprehensive. We scheduled the work. They arrived at 9:00 AM as promised and were out of the house by 4:30 PM. They repaired previously abused duct work and stacks. Their work was clean and quick. The new efficient furnace and hot water heater are a great upgrade to what was in the house.

They installed the furnace and an air-conditioning unit for $5000, about 3 years ago and come periodically to service the same. They came as scheduled and did the job as committed. They did a good job and cleaned the same well. They were fairly priced and I like their services. I will contact them in future.

very pleased with service. they explained the new unit to my 80 year old mother in terms that she clearly understood. i have used them in the past and will use them again in the future. the price was fair and well worth it.

Tech. showed up on time arranged, Clean very personable, explained what the job entailed and went to work, he found several problems he could not fix, but we arrange for repairs at a later date. The tech. found that the AC was low on Freon and recommended bring it up the full charge. 30 minutes later he showed back up to recharge the AC with Freon and was on his way.

Excellent. showed up on time, did it for less than half of other two bids.

We got a quote from Mercurio's Heating & a/c. I needed a new electronic cleaning filter in my heater. They came out and did the work. They cleaned it. Comments ? They then said that they needed to install something and so they?ll need to get a bid. They said that they would send their estimator out. So they sent this guy out within about a minute. So it was very obvious that he wanted to do more than what we were asking for. All I wanted was a filter cleaner. He wanted to sell me his products. He said if I wanted to put in a new electronic air cleaner, I would need a heat pump. He said he was sure of that. He also said it would increase your efficiency and drop the bills. He inspected the house and looked at all the things around. I asked him how much to pay and he said $400. I told him that $200 is okay. He said he will fix a heat pump at that time. He also said that the heater makes a lot of noise and they would put in a brand new heater. I said the heater does not make a noise because it?s far away from the bedroom. I just need an air filter. He sent me an estimate for $11000 which included a new heater, new heat pump, expensive duct work and electronic air filter. I called him back and said all I wanted is an electronic cleaner. He thought that I wanted a new heater. I told him that its two years old and it works wonderfully. He then said he will send out another estimate for the cleaning filter. He also said that if we get a new heat pump, besides making the whole thing work better, they would charge $1400 for the electronic air cleaner. He said that I can buy the same thing for $900 from home depot. He would give a $100 off if I buy a heat pump. I told him that I don?t want to be offensive and I didn?t want to hurt anyone?s feelings. I asked him to send the estimate of only the cleaning filter. They sent it but it wasn?t broken down in detail. They did good work but tried to oversell. I got someone else to do the job for me. I would not use their services again in the future.

Keegan did a great job explaining different furnace types and recommending the best for my situation. After getting over the sticker shock, I am absolutely thrilled with this furnace! (I got other estimates, and their price was the best for what I got). John and Bill were outstanding installers.....they even replaced the sheetrock and hot water tank when done with their part of the job! They cleaned up well too....they really went above and beyond! I will use this company in the future, and would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone.

They serviced the area where I needed to have work done. They were professional. They showed up on time and did what they said they were going to do. They were very good and on time. The expecations were met.

They had to replace a major part in the furnace, but it was still covered under warranty, so I didn't have to pay for the part, but just the labor. I continue to use them because they do a good job.

They were very responsive. Their cost was competitive and the people we worked with were very helpful. They recommended someone to come in to do some framing of a duct and their recommendation was excellent. The person did a great job.

I was told by another co. that my AC could not be repaired and I had to purchase an entire new system then they charged me 260.00 for doing nothing. I had Mercurios come to give me a second opinion and they were able to repair my AC for 260.00. They did recommend looking into a new AC in the near future and explained why but no pressure and most important they were able to fix my AC and it has been running great ever since. When it comes time to get my new AC system put in I will be going with Mercurios hands down !!!

After contacting Mercurio's to repair some damaged duct work their tech came to my house the following day. (Good so far!) When the tech came he looked that damaged area and realized that he didn't have the right material to fix it and that he would have to reschedule (kind of a pain), but he did look at the job and said that it would be about 2 hours of work at $100/hour plus materials (not sure if that is good or bad but I was relying on their favorable ratings on Angie's List). After 4 working days after the tech visit I still had not heard back from the anyone at Mercurio's to reschedule the job (annoying). I called the office to see if there was a mix up and if we can reschedule and the nice lady (don't be fooled) politely said that she didn't have the paperwork and that she would have to call me back to reschedule (I've heard that before!). After a week of no response I went somewhere else and was happy I did.

We paid $3300 on that work. They were great, showed up on time and price matched what I had from another bid. They delivered what they promised and threw in a free tune-up for next year and we were very happy with them.

They did as advertised. Nothing great or bad, they did ok work. They were on time for the service.

Very well. This company installed the furnace originally and was extremely knowledgeable about everything about it. They were very courteous and thorough.

They were nice and did a good job. They did what was expected and didn't create a mess. The price was worth the quality of work done.
