Mercurios originally installed our electric forced air furnace two and a half years ago. Recently we noticed the air coming from the ducts was lukewarm, not hot. The furnace is still under warranty so we called Mercurios. They sent a technician out the next day to troubleshoot the problem. The technician quickly found the problem was a bad breaker in our circuit breaker panel, but opened up the furnace and tested the wiring anyway to make sure there was no problem. The technician was friendly, patient, and polite throughout.

Joe C. came by to give an estimate for the work. He was very professional and knowledgeable in his trade and thorough in his detail. The arranged time and day to come by and get a look at the premises to see what needed to be done and what particulars including costs and work outside of what Mercurios would provided (electrician work, etc.) however had to be arranged via my initiated phonecall in spite of my having earlier sent an email through Mercurios company website explaining my desires. The email went unanswered. I put forth my needs and wants to Joe (actually my wife did since he came by while I was at work.) The water heater replacement costs alone would add up to approximately $3500 to $4000 with added electrical work in the neighborhood of $500. He didn't think such a move would be economically sound since for that money only $100 or so in energy cost savings per year were what he thought would be realized. I tend to agree and since it was just an idea and our heater presently works I am not disposed to have it replaced immediately unless savings were much greater over the long haul to recoup my costs. The furnace, however, does need replacing. That work I don't have the cost information in front of me now (my wife wrote it down) and for readers I know this is important but for us it is not at this time (sorry.) We now have other ideas that involve work on the roof (it needs replacement as well) which would potentially disturb the new duct work from the furnace. Cart comes before the horse so we have put off the replacement of the ailing heater until we get squared away with work on the roof. Joe was curteous and did a follow up phonecall (left a message) which I returned. I may not have explained our plans well to him about roof work coming first, but nonetheless made it clear we had other things to attend before the furnace. We are and were very appreciative of his insights to help us in that decision making process as well and we will keep him and Mercurios in mind when the time comes for that work, of course getting other estimates besides his to be smart about all this.

I wouldn't give them a high rating. I'd probably give them a B- at the best. There was a flub-up when they were installing. I asked them about the filtering system and they seemed confused. I told them this is supposed to have a filtering system and even though it was in the contract, it wasn't on the work order. They didn't charge extra for their mistake even though their hours were longer then. The mistake was the Salesman's.

They came in on time, they cleaned where they made a mess, they did a very good job.
