Description of Work: Hunts Plumbing came out and performed an annual service on the furnace. They suggested that I have the ducts cleaned after receiving a call from the technician. I called the office to schedule the service but had questions on the overall price and they said they would talk to the technician and return my call. That was months ago and never heard back. I ended up finding a new company to perform the duct work.

Description of Work: My pest service company told me about a slow leak in the crawl space and that it appeared to be the flow regulator that required a plumber to service. The serviceman came out on time and had the part on the truck to repair the leaking regulator. And, it turned out to be something that we didn't even notice was not working correctly until the new part was installed and the change in the water pressure was considerably stronger!

Description of Work: My problems are with Angie's List as much as with the provider. Neither of you did an adequate job of communication. I had no way to contact the provider prior to buying the service. In the service description there were no stated limits on the service; it said clean out one household drain. After an hours effort the worker said I've done all I can and it's still not flowing properly. He left and I later had a call from the company saying they could do some power head scouring of the drain for $600. By then I had the drain flowing properly, so I guess what they did certainly helped. Poor information, failure to state limitations to the offer, failure to have adequate prior contact with the contractor was Angie's fault and the contractor's fault. I won't buy another service without full information up front.

Description of Work: The heater maintenance went very well. Not only did the technician quickly and efficiently perform the proper inspections and change the filter, but he recommended additional maintenance that should be performed and suggested timelines. I was quite pleased and will be using them again.

Description of Work: Corey and his partner were on-time, quickly diagnosed the problem, then efficiently fixed the problem. We are very pleased with the way Corey worked and enthusiastically recommend them.

Description of Work: I contacted four firms and got 2 bids. Sam Hyde's bid was the lowest and he was very responsive and consultative. He laid a natural stone patio in my backyard, including excavation of the top layer of roots and soil, packing the sand base for the stone and cutting and laying the stone. It looks great. I was lucky to be scheduling the work in his slow season. I understand he stays pretty busy, spring through fall.

Description of Work: Everything about the service provided was fine. I had to send 2 inquiries to actually get an appointment scheduled, which was a bit annoying. The primary reason I rated low, however, is related to cost. Two things happened which I did not expect: | |1) They charged a $59.99 fee to come out, which they discussed with me ahead of time and I agreed to. However, I fully expected (as I believe is standard practice) that if I chose to have work done, the $59.99 would go toward the work performed. This wasn't the case. | |2) They specifically advertise a 10% Angie's List discount. Initially, they didn't give me this discount. I booked directly through Angie's List, but the response was "we usually rely on our customers to tell us if they qualify for a discount". They were happy to credit after the fact, but in my mind the damage is done, nearly the same as not offering the discount at all. | |Full disclosure, I never actually met the service provider. The work was done on a rental property. I asked that all the details be arranged with my tenant, which did happen, but they completely missed the first appointment, which she took time off work for. They told her they called me and told me they called her, neither actually happened.

Description of Work: Helped diagnose problem with my furnace. Definitely will use these folks again.

Description of Work: They came and were not able to complete the job. They came back weeks later, and were still not able to finish the work. They left the work area in bad shape - the wiring was all disconnected while they tried to figure out what to do, but they did not put it back the way it was. It cost a lot more when I had to go to another company to fix the problem that they created by leaving all the wiring disconnected. Plus, they would not refund any of the payment I made. |

Description of Work: Overall maintenance call. Visit was postponed twice by Hunt. I was inconvenienced. Richard made the call and performed very well. Provided excellent service and advice. Would welcome him in future.

Description of Work: Inspected poorly functioning hot water tank and whole plumbing system in my home. Offered recommendations. A bit high in pricing of solutions.
