Hunt's Services

We are very happy with the service provided by Hunt's plumbing. We originally purchased an Angie's list deal for a clog and then after speaking with the plumber about various options, decided to have him resect and update a section of the plumbing instead of just treating the clog. The pipes are very old and we felt it would just be a matter of time before it clogged again. The owner Jason was kind enough to apply the promotional amount of the coupon to the service we had done. They came out very quickly, were prompt and we felt the price was fair. I would definitely recommend them and plan to call them for any future problems.

A pipe inside the shower wall was broken and I thought that the entire shower would have to come out. Hunt's Plumbing came out and knew exactly what was wrong and fixed it in a matter of minutes. Jason arrived in the time frame given us, gave us an estimate and completed the work. It's extremely difficult to find a plumber on the weekend but I'm certainly glad we used Hunt's. Jason was very forthcoming about remaining issues and how we might address them and will work on giving us an estimate on an entire bathroom remodel.

.Assessed the problem quickly, they had to go get a part returned within a short time, fixed the shower part. They were fast, efficient, well mannered and I will be sure and call them back. Very good job

I did not use this contractor and Angie won't accept that.

The plumber from Hunts showed up on time. Hunt's gave me an approx. time of 3-5 PM and called me 2:25 to tell me he would be here within 25 minutes. He went under the house, assessed the damage and repaired it within 30 minutes. Checked the water pressure, assured me everything was good, gave me a 1 year warranty and was gone. I originally had Southwest plumbing show up and took at least 30 minutes to give me a quote which was over $500 for parts/labor and just under $300 because "it was in a tough spot". How could a licensed plumber ON Angie's list quote such a horrific price! I am extremely satisfied with Hunt's and the professional job they have done.

We had what appeared to be a big problem. Hunt sent a guy out fast. He was knowledgeable and friendly. He easily figured out what was going on. Would totally recommend them.

The overall experience was very positive. Jason was very friendly, professional, and efficient. I will definitely contact Hunt's Plumbing again if I have problems in the future.

Scheduling went smoothly and there were no additional costs. Everything worked out just fine.

I felt like the deal was a rip off. We have used the company in the past and the pricing was just as high. They can also never find our account when we call in. They charged an additional dispatch fee. We had them clear a line in the kitchen sink of a tenant’s home. One technician came out and completed the job in less than 20 minutes. The company never sent me an invoice like they said they would. I had to call them twice to request the invoice. They charged my credit card before I even knew what they did. I had no problem contacting the company or scheduling the deal.

Plumber was extremely helpful and knowledgeable, and explained the problems involved in installing a garbage disposal, and discussed alternatives.

*This work was done over a month ago and the date listed above is an estimate* Last winter, I didn't turn off the separate valve that fed these exterior water sources, which--unlike the interior lines that run through my open basement--are exposed to the elements. It was a dumb mistake that now had to be fixed. I attempted to fix myself with a sharkbite tool but that didn't hold. I decided to call the professionals, anticipating that this job would require soldering tools and experience that I don't have. I got onto the Angie's List, saw the coupon for Hunts, saw their "A" grade and wham! Coupon purchased. Hunts was very prompt in calling me after the purchase and scheduling service. Cathy told me they would be there around 2 on this day and would call 30 minutes in advance. This worked fine for me and my somewhat-flexible schedule today. I don't recall his name, but one of the [two] plumbers called me at 1:40 to tell me that he was sitting on my front doorstep. He said he must've forgot to call in advance or his people forgot to call in advance. I was in a meeting and not able to leave right that moment. I told him where the leak was so he could investigate while waiting, since everything was accessible from outside the house. I told him I would be back in about twenty minutes. About fifteen minutes later, he called me to tell me that he had found the two burst pipes in addition to one swollen pipe. He said it'd cost $400-500 to repair the pipes, or they could replace the two lines and hose end valves (what I used to call spigots) for $600. So there were two options. Option 1, the repair option, was a little less, but even if they repaired the damaged pipes, there was no guarantee that there weren't other leaks in the pipes currently untraceable because of the existing leaks. This conversation took place on the phone while I was on my way home. When I got home I agreed to the replacement option. That was at about 2:10 pm. They began work. Shortly after 3pm, I received a knock on the door (I was working out of my home office at this point). They asked me to turn the valve back on from the basement to test the system. I turned on the valve and they successfully tested both lines. No leaks. They were done! The two valves and lines were replaced with flexible pex piping, which handles extreme temperatures better than copper. I'm really happy that they were responsive and seemed to get the job done adequately in a short amount of time. However, I still have sticker shock about the price. This is the first time my 100 year old house (that I've owned for six years) has required any plumbing repair work that I haven't had the time or know-how to handle myself. It took two plumbers ten minutes to diagnose the problem and less than an hour to fix it. I know there's something to be said about efficiency, but $600? It's a lot for what seems like a simple repair that didn't have a lot of variables and took less than one hour to diagnose and fix. To sum it all up: this was my first experience hiring a plumber directly, but the price seemed to be excessive for the work done. The quality seems good and everything works.

FANTASTIC SERVICE, on time, polite and courteous, AND the cost came in UNDER the bid - he said it turned out there wasn't as much to do once they got into it. It was great. They recommended us buying a bigger water heater. They sent 2 techs. It took them 45 minutes to do everything.

The repair was done quickly and efficiently. I would highly recommend Hunt's Plumbing for your heating or plumbing needs.

We bought an older house in November, and he walked through the house and helped me figure out what I would need to replace or upgrade. I liked that he took the time to talk to me about the house. I would use him again.

It went well. The plumber arrived promptly, identified the problem after inspecting the leak, advised us on how he planned to fix the problem, and proceeded to fix it. He was very professional and courteous. We are very pleased with the result.

Brian and Josh were absolutely superior! They were friendly, clean and very respectful. They worked with my home warranty company over the phone before doing any work and then after getting the authorization, immediately addressed the problem. They both explained every aspect of the job. After they were done, they cleaned up and even provided a referral to a flood damage specialist (who also called me right away). I couldn't be more pleased with this company and am happy to provide an A+ rating!

Brian arrived promptly as scheduled with another plumber. They were professional and respectful. They did not try to sell any extras. The job was completed quickly and we are enjoying hot water again.

He came this morning and took the clog out of the drain. He was very good.

They were the best you can hope for. On time. Apprentice to run for things saving time and our money. Knew what he was doing. Explained everything. Didn't pad or gouge or make up a bigger problem. Felt like he was honest Fair. And very nice and appropriate. Would have him in my house if I was alone. My favorite kind of Tradesman interaction.

Everything was great from the time he showed up, until the time he left. He addressed all my issues with utmost courtesy and professionalism. He went the extra mile when need. I will call on this company for all my plumbing needs.

The plumber showed up within the expected time window of 9-11a.m. My main concern was an older toilet that took forever to stop refilling the tank. The plumber (can't remember his name) inspected my toilet and his "fix" was to bend the metal arm attached to the old-style float. Sure enough, that seemed to solve the problem...until he left and I flushed the toilet on my own and the "endless water filling the tank" issue was not resolved :/ STRIKE ONE Then, in accordance with the included "Home Plumbing Inspection", he took a look at the other toilets in my home (nothing needed repair) and we ended up in the room with my water heater (he gave me a bid for some possible repairs I might want to consider...too high in my opinion). I remember him mentioning that he'd take a look at my laundry room and would check the washing machine supply hoses for proper working condition but I forgot to mention it so that never happened. STRIKE TWO I know this is a personal pet peeve and should probably be more understanding but he reeked of nicotine which really grossed me out. STRIKE THREE I really felt the $79 I spent for the toilet tune-up was a waste of money and will not consider hiring their services in the future.

Jason and his team were outstanding. He said that he would get it done and he did, doing everything he could to keep his word. I recommend his company to anyone and they will get a honest deal. Thanks for your honesty and professionalism. You definately went the extra mile!

I was happy with the work done. Later I saw on Angie's List a cheaper quote for toilet replacement, but Hunt's was in line with other providers. They did not do what I would consider a complete plumbing inspection. They turned on some inside faucets and checked if we had earthquake bands on the water heater. When they arrived they asked what I wanted them to do; I had been expecting they would have a routine for testing various systems with dye or something. A few days later my water heater died and Hunt's squeezed me into their schedule to replace that. They are very responsive to the customer's needs.
