Purchased a deal from Angie's List for our slow drain. Scheduling was really easy, and I got a call from the workers at the beginning of my two-hour window to tell me they were 30 minutes away. After clearing the pipe, the trap couldn't be installed back w/o leaking (the pipes were old and in rough shape). We had a disposal that we were waiting to install (the old pipes required some replacement before installation), so we chose to have it done at this time. Jessie and his partner were very professional and communicative, and showed no problem with me looking over their shoulder. While the price was more than I expected, the install was done tidily, and they were VERY thorough in cleaning up (which was great because the drain cleaning job was really messy). I would definitely recommend them and/or hire them back for future work.

Arron was a great help and full of good ideas about how to handle 1950's style pumbing and pipes, he was efficient, pleasent, clean and full of knowledge. We plan on asking him to relace all our out of date pumbling in January 2015, his estimate is good and I know he will do a great job.

We bought a bank repo house and knew there were plumbing issues going into the purchase, Aaron came out multiple times to install appliances. put pipes in where there were none and fix bathroom fixtures that had been installed incorrectly so hot water would not come through. Aaron also installed a faucet at another property we had. The experience of finding more problems as we progressed was frustrating but the flexibility and patience Aaron exhibited made a tough situation go as smooth as possible. I would definitely recommend this company and will continue to use them for any future plumbing needs

I purchase the $119 for $200 of service voucher and scheduled the appointment for my mom's house. There was a little appointment mix-up but the customer service was very responsive and got a guy out to my mom's house as soon as possible that day. The guy fixed the toilet and gave my mom options about the leaky kitchen faucet. He told my mom he can install with a new faucet head and his visit would total up to about $500 or she can actually go to home improvement stores and purchase the faucet head and install it herself. He showed her how to do it and suggested that she should take the broken faucet head to the store to make sure she gets the right one. The faucet head was only $20 and it was easy to install it. He saved us money for sure. $280 total was the total cost at the end but the discount from the voucher and the guy's suggestion helped a lot.

Communication was timely and professional. Service guy who came was friendly and immediately saw I didn't need my toilet resealed (which is what I thought I needed). I only needed the bolts tightened in the tank. This meant I didn't have to incur a $150 charge had it needed to be re-sealed, so that was nice. Lav faucet was installed just fine - everything cleaned up after. Only glitch was they charge $60 for driving to my house, which had not been advertised on the Angie's List "Big Deal" ad. I thought that was inappropriate. The guy said they had to charge it because they came from Tacoma and I live in Tumwater. But the ad said they provided service in Thurston County, which is where Tumwater is located. Because of this additional unadvertised charge, the total exceeded the $200 value, but otherwise, it wouldn't have. So in total, it saved me some money, but I will be hesitant now to purchase another "deal" on Angie's list because it may again be the case that not all costs are advertised.

Overall, I would give this company a C (upgraded from F), based on offline email exchanges with Jason, the owner. My biggest complaint is the pricing model and his feedback that their typical rate is ~$200/hr (but that is based on a flat fee structure, not actual time spent). If you are OK with this, then this is a fine company to use. See below for details on my experience. I had a toilet and shower that were backing up downstairs in our rental. There is a sewage pump that pumps the waste from the basement to the street level, so I suspected there was an issue with the pump and I let them know that when I called for an appointment. The scheduling went well other than a REQUIRED trip fee of $59 just to show up (does not apply to work done). He showed up exactly on time (noon) and called me (since this was a rental property) to say "...since it appeared to be a pump problem, it would REQUIRE $300 just to open the holding tank, remove the pump if necessary and diagnose it to determine if it was the pump".Not having a lot of choice (since my renter needed it addressed), I told him to do it. He called back about 15 minutes later and said the pump had a bad float and since it was integrated into the pump, it would require replacing the entire pump. So I am now in it for $300. for 15min work. This equates to be a bill rate of $1200/hr. He said the cost to fix it would be an additional $1000 and he would have to go pick up a pump at the store. I about choked, but figured they must be special pumps or something and take a while to replace. Again, needing to get it done, and thinking that since this was through Angie's List and they had good reviews, they must be a reputable company. I was later told by the tenant that he was gone before 2PM, so less than two hours total and that included determining the problem (<1/2hr), going to get a pump (~1hr) and installing the pump (~1/2hr). The work done was fine and I have had no problems in the 3 weeks since it was completed (and have upgraded my original ratings on these). The only concern I have is with the overall pricing structure. I have updated my comments below based on email exchanges with Jason. Jason (the owner) gave me the pricing breakdown as follows: "You were charged 1200 plus our dispatch fee of 59 which gave you a total of 1259 then which you received a discount of 125.90 which drops your cost to 1133.10 then, lets remove the dispatch fee after the 10% 53.10 puts you at 1080.00 for the pump replacement. Our task is based on 3 hours as that is the average on this type of job (Gil is faster than most plumbers out there and I apologize for that). I don?t know what pump you saw online but the pump with the check valve and the piping we would charge approx. 510.00 if we were time and material which leaves a labor charge of 570.00." $570 equates to $285/hr (including the trip to the store). This equates to about $592,000/yr. Guess I should have become a plumber rather than getting an engineering degree. Jason told me the pump model installed was a Liberty LE51A (2", 1/2 hp, automatic). I researched online and these pumps cost about $330 (w/free shipping). I don't know model of the cast iron check valve, but looks to be about $58 for a top end Liberty cast iron valve (other standard valves are about $25). Only other part was a section of 2" ABS. So retail cost looks to be about $400 max. Jason said he was willing to work with me on an additional credit after a review update, so here it is... I will post additional info after we settle on a final bill. Update: Jason offered me an additional ~$180 credit to revise my review above even more, but I believe it is accurate and would rather leave as is than get the additional credit. Even with the additional credit (effectively $90/hr), I would still be paying around $200/hr and that is after much negotiation.

They were good. They were responsive and on time. They're reliable and did a good work. I would definitely recommend them. I would use this provider again in the future.

The plumber was very punctual. Came in and quickly analyzed the problem. he wanted to make sure it wasn't the main valve. they quoted us a price and left to get the supplies needed and was able to come back and fix it the dame day!! I am now able to enjoy a nice high pressure warm shower. They cleaned everything up and I couldn't be happier.

It went great. The technician completed the task very quickly, and made recommendations for how I could modify his repaired section if I wished to add more tubing.

This was an Angie's list "Big Deal". $200.00 worth of work for $119.00. When I purchased it I expected contact within two days as advertised, but I was contacted by Hunt's within a few minutes! I continued to have email and phone conversations with Hunts while the details were worked out. I was advised that there would be a $59.00 call out fee included in the "Big deal"price and and we would be billed for any amount over that. I agreed and they scheduled the repair for the following day. The young men who arrived were polite, professional and the job was done quickly. I was billed only an additional $19.00. above the "Big Deal price for State sales tax . I'm very pleased and would call them again and will refer my friends and neighbors.

They were good. They were helpful. They didn't quite accurately problem solve the source of the smell, but they were friendly and courteous.

The add for this special listed 11 items to be done. I received 1 empty water heater.

They did a good job and we able to come out the next day. I would highly recommend them.

I realized on Monday afternoon before Thanksgiving that I had a major leak/break somewhere in the main water line between the street meter and the house shut-off valve. I called Hunt's Plumbing and Heating because of their "A" rating with Angie's List and the discount they gave Angie's List members (I had never used this company before and therefore relied on Angie's List). I called at 2:30pm on Monday and Aaron, a plumber with Hunt's Plumbing and Heating, arrived at my house at 4 pm to try and diagnose the problem. He spent about 45 minutes with me looking over things and trying to figure out the problem. He went into the crawl space and found water coming through the foundation wall at the pipe and noticed that the copper pipe was not protected properly for embedment in concrete. He suspected a break either in the wall or within a few feet of the house, but said there could be other issues or leaks too that we don't know about. Aaron then wrote up two estimates, one for potholing outside the foundation and fixing the break if it was found to be at the foundation wall or within several feet, and a second for a new pipe from the street meter to the house if we could not find the problem easily. We set up an appointment for Aaron to return on Wednesday at 11:30 am to start work (all the plumbers at Hunt's were booked Tuesday). I had checked with other plumbers and they could not do the work until the following week. I appreciated Hunt's Plumbing ability to come out on Monday right away and to set up an appointment on Wednesday so that we could get water back to the house by Thanksgiving. Aaron arrived with help right at 11:30 am on Wednesday just as promised. They dug a 3-foot deep hole (roots from a tree made it more difficult) and found that the pipe was broken at two locations within the concrete foundation wall. They installed a new pipe and spliced as needed, tested the system and found no further leaks, and then filled in the hole. They charged me just for the repair services on Wednesday and did not add a separate charge for the diagnosis visit on Monday. Hunt's Plumbing and Heating staff were very polite and professional and I will call them in the future.

He installed a new furnace the day AFTER the emergency response. Arrived Sunday night for emergency. Made recommendation. Arrived Monday afternoon with new furnace. Installed, commissioned, and was very nice to my wife (I was out of town) and kept the area clean and professional looking. We gave him more business for the following weekend he was so professional and did such good work. I would recommend to ANYONE to use this company. Jason and his team are AWESOME.

The shower would not turn off all of a sudden on a Saturday afternoon. Since it was a shower, we had to turn off the water to the entire house (not a good thing). I searched plumbers near us on Angie's List, and Hunt's was the first to come up. I gave them a call, and cycled through the message a few times before it picked up. So, be patient when calling. The dispatcher was very pleasant and accommodating. She was up front with the cost of an "emergency" call. So, there wouldn't be any surprises. She took my information and put me in the queue for the field repairs. An hour and a half later, the repairman was at the door. Ten minutes later, he had fixed the problem and was out the door. Since the fix was so easy, he waived the "emergency" charge. He was courteous, knowledgeable, and fast. He even took his shoes off before coming in the house.

I called them Monday to find out what additional charges there would be. Monday, nobody called me back. No one called me on Tuesday morning. I called them twice and they put me off for a few minutes and then again saying they would get back with me later in the day. They never did call me back that day. In the end I decided not to use them as the price became more than I had anticipated.

Technician arrived on site (on time) too service the furnace. Took a look at the furnace and nicely informed us that their company does not service oil furnaces. Technician was apologetic and very nice. When the appointment was made we were not asked what type of furnace we had.

Aaron contacted me on Nov 17 and told me what time he'd be here. Arrived at the time he said. Flushed the water heater; checked the temperature for me. Pleasant and professional. Would use them again for plumbing needs.

It went well. Informed me the problem my water has been having with starting to go cool before finishing a shower. Said it was not repairable. Gave me a quote on installing a new one. He di arrive a little early, which I was pleased with. He was professional and informative. I would recommend this service to a friend . I can.t really say if I am pleased or not with prices as this service was a deal and I have not checked on prices on installing water heaters.

An unusually good experience. Needed help completing home plumbing job-- needed help soldering copper tubing in difficult location. Jessie was on-time, friendly, efficient, and taught me quite a bit about how to do the job properly. Didn't rush, charged appropriately for his time, all-in-all a positive, affordable service. He reflects very well on his company-- would use him again without second thought. Highly recommended.

The install went well, very clean while working and explained the issues with our old toilet backing up. We purchased a new one and it is great, does the job.

If you give the customer a very high quote, don't charge for the quote. I believe their charges are too high.

Was very good, they were very nice and on time. A little expensive but very good.
