I'm very disappointed with how Hunts service handled my request. It started out well, they were responsive initially, kept in touch via Angie's List chat. After I confirmed I wanted service, they gave me an initial date. On that day late afternoon I was told the service tech would not make it due to other high priority jobs. Next day, they called and said someone would come in to repair, but when I called that afternoon to check on the ETA I was asked clarifying questions about my job and then told they cannot help me. Not sure why these questions were not asked upfront when they were communicating back and forth on Angie's list chat. Also I lost 4 full days without a kitchen sink due to this unprofessionalism. I will not be using them ever again!!!

Had a Groupon with them for inspection and heater flush and they gave me a huge work order worth several thousand $$$$. I got another opinion of a plumber who lives in my community and he said I don’t need to do anything they recommend.

I had a feeling that it might be a good idea to have our 13+ year old furnace inspected before turning on the heat for another year. I rely very heavily on reviews when determining where to spend our money. Hunt's Services had really great reviews and many in particular were referring to their service man Armando. We were lucky to get Armando sent to our home as well! He was kind enough to allow me to hover and ask questions. He showed me the cracked heat exchanger vs just telling me about it and explained why that needed to be replaced. It was a great experience and I will recommend Hunt's to anyone who needs their services. I also want to speak to some of the negative reviews I see here from others...those seem to be related to price quoted for work not yet performed. I think it's unfair to review based on that sort of thing. If you don't like their quote then shop around...compare other quotes...you have that option!!! Don't give a company an F just because you don't like their quote. Just my 2 cents!

This company is a rip off! They charged over $1900 to replace water heater. Their technician came in and did an "estimate" that was not an estimate at all. One technician had no experience and the other one not much more. They charged "over $400 per hour" for each of the technicians - for a two hour job. Not worth it. Way too expensive for what was done. They take advantage of people who have leaky water heaters and need a replacement. Find someone else.

Andrew was a very helpful, friendly and professional plumber. He was very good at answering questions and was very thorough and cared about the work he was performing. I’d highly recommend him to anyone who has plumbing needs. Also, the call out staff for their phone number was very helpful and kept us well informed as to his status and ETA before he arrived.

It went poorly all the way through even though I went directly to the owner of the company to set my job ahead of time, to insure he would insure the job go correctly because it was a big project. He gave platitudes but did NO follow through. This is after waiting a decade to do this remodel and support a new company I really wanted to do well and previously believed in. Their electrician forgot to turn on the power and I lost all of my catering food, the job and a months income. Hunt's owner Jason did nothing about this, then still sent a bill that was $3000 more than the original 3 estimates and did not pay for the lost of food or income. I don't get that client back again and Jason, owner of Hunts, passed the buck blaming everyone and not solving the problem. Twice, once at the beginning of the project and the second phase, started out well and ended horribly. All goes very well when it is about trying to get your money. Then when they are working on the job, this companies main electrician and plumber wasted my time by not showing up on time, calling or when they did show up, not knowing why they are there or, showing up to do the job but spending all the time on the phone with other customers and the office. So I was told anyway. I also had to spend over 30 hours on the phone and via email just trying to get my job done, scheduled, fix what the plumber didn't know he was there to do when it was the very same plumber who came out to take notes. He never replied. Then came out dazed and confused after I spent over 30 minutes on the phone with the office explaining my job to them. Then, when they workers were here, they were called on the phone over 15 times in a day and the work they were doing would stop. Sometimes they would just leave to go to another job and not be done here. The mess that was left after their work was an hour of clean up on my end and when they left the electricity off to my freezers, knowing that the freezers needed to stay on, I lost over $300 worth of catering food and the job. Not only did I lose that client and all of their referrals, my reputation is toast to every potential client I could have received from the gig I could not cater. Jason did not even respond when I sent him the email explaining how HORRIBLE my house smells do to three days of rotting seafood and meat that I had to clean up when I returned home at 2 in the morning. It has been 3 weeks and I still funk up the neighborhood and throw up in my mouth when I walk to that part of the house. How do I sell now? I have spent $150 to professionally clean, of which I don't have, and I am still funked up. I lost my freezer of $500 and the list goes on. Now my hot water shuts off on its own and I have not had a full warm shower in a week and cannot afford to call another plumber and how can I have them come back out.? I can't afford it on any level. Working with Hunts Plumbing has actually ruined my life and my reputation. You can't post smells or lost income in a picture, but I can tell you, I now don't know what I am going to do, do to their negligence. But really, why should they care, plenty more of me out there.

Took a few days to order the new heater in, but they kept us informed of what was going on. They were responsive, communicative, and professional. They explained what was wrong with our old heater and why they were making the repairs they did. Overall, great service!

My first experience of Hunts Services was very good, this, my second, was extremely disappointing. The appointment was twice rescheduled by Hunts at very short notice. On the second reschedule Hunts were unaware that they had already rescheduled me at short notice only days before. The quotation given on arrival was extremely expensive for the work to be done at $435 plus tax (approximately $480) for approximately 45 minutes labor and one angle stop, and this after a $50 discount. I provided all other materials. I went ahead with them as I had to get the work done there and then, but told them at that price I would not be using them in the future. As to the quality of the work, the fitter left a redundant safety valve in place when it should have been removed, I removed it myself later. After being asked to complete a survey I first called the office to complain at the excessive price and was told that they had noted I would not be using them in the future due to the price, and that a member of management would call me back. They did not. I therefore called again and was yet again told a member of management would call me back, again they did not. I have concluded that Hunts are focused only on maximizing price and have no interest in their customers or in providing good service.

Furnace and A/C maintenance was scheduled with Hunt's. On the day of the service no-one showed up and I called to ask what was happening, they told me that their technician called in sick and I had to reschedule. I guess these things can happen but you would expect them to have more than one technician. I rescheduled for the following week and received a call saying they had to reschedule again because they were only taking emergency calls - guess they make more profit from emergency calls than a regular service. Stay away from these unreliable people - don't understand how they got so many A ratings when they don't show for scheduled appointments and blow you off.

The technician Armando was great. Arrived on time. Diagnosed the problem and serviced the furnace and AC system. Would definitely hire Hunt's again.

So, Hunt's was way better then my last experience trying to get the fans replaced. They sent a qualified eletrician who was knowledgeable, efficient and polite. A few issues came up that would make me think twice about using Hunts again. - They didnt come prepared to do I what I said I needed done. I bought the fans ahead of time. I told them on the phone one fan was not vented properly and needed a roof vent installed. The eletrician was not Ok cutting a roof vent himself. I am glad he wouldnt do something he wasnt trained for, but they sent the wrong person for that job. - They didnt finish the job completely. We found a roof vent for the bathroom that need one, it was missing tge duct. He didnt have one in his car so he didnt install it. He said if he did he could have put it in. He then showed me the price to have them send someone else sent to install it. It was as much as the vent. I was not happy with that. - They charge 99$ just to come out and inspect and produce a report. If you have them do the work, that comes out of the final cost. They dont give you prices before then. It was nearly 50% more per fan then I expected but we needed it done so we couldnt wait for someone else. - They rescheduled us the day before (?) for an emergency call they had. We had to pick a new day to be home all day with no notice. On top of that they would only say 9-5 as the window until the technition was 60 minutes out. Overall I feel the eletrical work was done right by someone that knew what they were doing. It was expensive and they left me a project (installing duct) that I was trying to pay them to do.

He came fixed the problem and gave me an estimate for my next planned job. He has been hired to come and install lighting in our bathrooms and recessed lighting in the living room.

I scheduled an estimate for a large plumbing job. The guy came late but the office called and told me he would be late so that was okay. He looked at the space and said he would email me an estimate that night or next day. I asked him if he had my email and he said the office had it so he didn't need to write it down. I waited few days then called and was told the estimate had not been written up yet! Furthermore the office didn't even have my email address. This was not a good sign... can't imagine them getting it together enough to actually do the job.

Technicians were within the time stipulated, professional and friendly. Service was completed and they left an estimate for a new water heater if needed in the futhure.

The price was right. Efficient. They came and inspected my electrical and gave me reports. I was satisfied with the report. At first, they did now show up, they called me and told me that one of the electricians was sick which is an acceptable excuse but I'd still give them an "A". But after that they showed up when they said they would.

Showed up on time, worked hard, cleaned up well, gave useful advice for the future. Nothing could be improved that I know of.

Guys are real pros. can not recommend more.

They did a really good job. I'm very pleased with the service. Corey is the guy who came out and he was very accommodating, respectful, and very nice. I would use them again.

I was originally scheduled for a particular date & time but they cancelled a couple hours prior after I had already left work. They completed the job in the next appointment that I had. I didn't feel like they felt too bad about standing me up the first time or that I had to take another day off for the next appointment.

Hunt's Services is amazing! From the office staff's professionalism and courtesy to the technicians Rigo & Cruz it is a first class operation all the way! After 2 years of trying to get our sump fixed they came in, diagnosed, and replaced and cleaned up every bit of scrap...even that that wasn't theirs...before leaving us with all the information and suggestions we could possibly need! We are so grateful and will sleep well tonight knowing no matter what amount of rain Mother Nature brings we're covered! Thanks so much!!

The company is not responding to my calls, they are irresponsible and I am very disappointed.

They are extremely over priced for the work. The plumber showed up about 9:30 am with a laborer helper. He left the guy there for over an hour and then when he returned he said we had roots in the section right next to the clean out. He had put the snake down the clean out but couldn't get it more than a foot. They replaced the clean out pipe and about 5 feet of connecting pipe. It was about 2 feet down and 5 foot long. They charged $3300 and were gone by 2;45 pm. They did fix the problem but that is a lot of money for such a small amount of work. Lesson learned is get the estimate in writing, I thought it was supposed to be $1800 until presented with the final bill. The company offered me a 10 % discount but I would have had to sign a non disclosure agreement. I would rather warn others about their high prices than take $300 off. I've attached a photo, the first hole is where the clean out was attached. They replaced that section with PVC pipe.

Not well. They replaced the disposal with a new one. They did not extend the Angie's discount.

the work was done well but the power was off for over 2 weeks.

This was a great experience! I've been hiring people to perform installations in my home for 35 years and this was the best experience ever. The highly skilled man that came had to make a few difficult changes in the vanity to accommodate a furnace duct. He also installed the new faucet and re-plumbed the sink including a new p-trap. He did an great job and the vanity looks just beautiful, and works great too! Thank you!
