+ -1 moreI had left this in draft review. They did an outstanding job installing a new sewer line for me back in 2018 for under 10 grand. I did LOTS AND LOTS of research and Harts is the best. I would not hesitate to hire them again as they did an OUTSTANDING job. I have had zero problems with my sewer over the past 5 years.

+ -1 moreWe previously got pretty good service from Harts on our hot water installation, so we called them again to assess fixing our leaky outside spigots. The plumber was very polite and professional. He did a complete survey, even suiting up to go under our house to find the void where the outside plumbing came in. While under there, he took digital photos of our copper pipes under the house. Now came the hard sell: Over $3000 to the leaks in both spigots, citing the need to cut out the entire frost-free system of both and installing new ones. He claimed we had old junk that wasn't supported. Next, he recommended we have our entire house re-piped from copper to plex, for over $26K. The areas of pipes they claimed might soon get pin-hole leaks was just outside green lines from drips from water coming down from the upper floor due to another issue (since solved) and not corrosion. In the end, I spent around $52 to simply replace the guts of the frost free valves myself (parts easily available on Amazon), saving over $3K. Bottom line is Harts can do the job, but they have predatory business practices. Be careful and get a second opinion. Fix things you can fix yourself and save yourself a boatload of money.

+ -1 moreWe were told by the buyers home inspector that we had a leak under the house from the master bathroom. We looked ourselves and found no water anywhere. But just to make it official we called Hart’s and they did a full inspection under our house…and found no leaks or water of any kind. They came out quickly which helped move the sale along.

Feels like they showed up with the intention overcharging 40% if they were able to reduce the price by so much...Was told they would provide quote for replacement of drain line. Never received quote. On the plus side they were able to clear the drain.

+ -1 moreWord to the wise. Be careful. They charged a travel fee just to send someone out to give me a bid to replace my hot water tank. The bid was about twice that of the other bids I received and the guy was trying to upsell me the whole time on buying a annual service plan, etc. Use caution.

+ -1 more. Technician arrived meeting covid-19 protocol and I showed him the work needing to be done. Technician then formulated 3 quotes. Quote #1) Attempt to repair leaking cartridge by replacing washer if he had one on his vehicle; Quote #2) #1 plus replace the sink fixture; Quote #3) complete entire job per my original request. The tech then informed me he did not have the tools with him to complete my job request and appointment would need to be rescheduled. I elected to have the tech remove the leaking cartridge to diagnose and attempt repair. He was unable to repair and re-installed the cartridge. Invoice was for $128.13. The quote he provided for Harts to complete my entire job request, was for over $5400 pre-tax! The words that came to mind were Outrageous, Heinous, Disgraceful, among others. I found another company who completed my entire job request in under two hours and charged under $500. I had used Harts Services on 3 previous occasions where they provided great service at a reasonable price. Never again, and STRONGLY do not recommend.
Description of Work: Cut access hole thru closet wall to reach wall mounted valves for a bathroom faucet. Remove and replace the valves and install new fixture. Next, remove and replace sink sitting on a pedestal. If possible, install plumbing box over the access hole. I advised I had all parts in-hand. Customer service said Harts could handle my job.

+ -1 moreThe work was done professionally and the work crews were the happiest, friendliest bunch I have yet encountered. The work was done well and when serious complications were encountered they all pitched in and overcame the problems. The work was not cheap ($2800) but other bids were no better--I believe surgery is cheaper than plumbing these days.
Description of Work: Replacement of old, leaking lead pipe connection from the toilet to the waste stack, and replacement of the bathroom sink drain pipe.

+ -1 moreSurprised I needed to modify a drain while installing a new (replacement) dishwasher. (Gotta love the ever changing building codes.) One call and I had service on the way within an hour. The dispatcher let me know the approximate travel time to my residence, and sent a picture and a bit of background information on the technician. Colton (the technician) was positive, friendly, and informative. He provided a quote for the work I needed, the quote was reasonable. Colton completed the drain modification professionally and cleaned the work area. He also gladly provided a quote for another plumbing project I may be working on in the future and was pleased the quote is good for 6 months. Thanks again Harts Services!

+ 0 moreOn a Saturday night, sewage started backing up through the drains in our house. We called around, and Harts was the only company available to come the next day with a snake to clean out the drain. After routing our drain and inspecting, the plumber (Ryan) was unable to remove the clog. He did not charge for the initial routing, and was able to return the next day with a hydrojet. Ryan and another plumber (and, for a time, the company's co-owner) worked for several hours on the following day, jetting and inspecting our sewer pipe; it turned out that the backup was within the city's main. Although they charged their standard rate for hydrojetting, which was slightly higher than some other companies I'd called, Ryan and his associates put in a lot more work than I ended up paying for - mainly because the source of the problem was so far down the line. They followed up by contacting the city to get the city's line repaired. They were highly professional and went the extra mile (ok, more like 164 feet... but it felt like a mile) to figure out what the problem was. Most of all, they were available for an emergency fix when no one else was. I'd highly recommend again for sewer maintenance.

Description of Work: My husband and I love Harts! We have two properties and two houses adjacent to each other with both needing sewer pipe repair. One company said they had to dig up both lines which would cause us to have trenches all throughout our yard and we would lose our driveway because one pipe ran underneath it. A new driveway, an additional cost and having to find a reputable company to replace the driveway. Harts replaced both lines with minimal digging using the pipe bursting system, closed off the old piping that went under the driveway and made a new route for the sewer line of the main house. The work crew was very professional, friendly and during their week with us I never saw anyone slacking. They worked hard. We were kept up to date each day with what was accomplished and the next day's plans. I was impressed that all the crew worked together as a team and there was never any sign of unhappiness. Some days were cold and raining but the crew was out there getting the job done. Work continued all day, lunch breaks must have been staggered because there was always work happening. One day a crew working at another site finished early and came to our homestead to help our crew. Imagine my surprise arriving home from my job expecting to see a Harts truck in the driveway and two or three people but I saw the driveway filled with vehicles and so many people working. When the job was done I actually missed seeing the workers each day. It was as if family visited for a few days and then went home. Thank you to Harts for having such workers who can make someone feel a loss like that. The professionalism, friendliness and communication of the Harts employees and staff is beyond impressive. I went to work gushing to my coworkers about how great Harts is and I have bragged about "our" fantastic Harts and recommended them on my FaceBook page. We love Harts.

+ -1 moreChris was there from start to finish. Always available on the phone and was extremely attentive to all of my needs and concerns. He worked very closely with me to plan out the routing of our piping and alleviated any concerns along the way. The owner, Richard, visited while the project was ongoing. He was able to discuss options and ways to keep the drainage low in cost, legal, and functional in a way that doesn't affect the look of the property significantly due to the unusual routing plan since we have an odd layout on our plot. They cleaned up after themselves as best they could considering that any excavation project is a mess. Chris continued to keep me updated as work was moving forward and allowed me to closely supervise work during my time off. Upon watching the system during rain we could see that it worked pretty well and all piping seems to be to grade. We are probably talking about 80 feet of 4 inch PVC perhaps more and trenching work which too roughly 4 1/2 days. The workers who came to help dig the trench were very friendly and customer service oriented. Thanks to both Joe and Jeff for their hard work with Chris to get the trenches dug and ensure grading was proper. Chris also was able to help us adjust the project when we hit snags along the way like having heavy clay soil. I'll probably need to hire a landscaper to repair the lawn since we have a lot of clay. You'll be hard pressed to find a person who is more committed to keeping you in the loop like Chris and Harts did. They managed a difficult project and I'd say a difficult customer(myself) with grace. Chris also remained committed to addressing any issues post installation should any arise.
Description of Work: Ran new drainage pipe from rear downspouts to front of north side of house, south side of house, and a garden area in the front also was provided new drainage. Required extensive excavation, and 3 separate drainage systems to front of yard and driveway due to the unusual topology of my property.

The news couldve been better as far as the old drainfield but that was installed before he was born. He was so cheerful doing hard unpleasant work without a complaint from his mouth. i had contacted five companies all together and none were able to give such complete bids. i would recommend this company to anybody and feel blessed my problem was addressed by them. I cant say enough good things.
Description of Work: That was a big issue..all i know is the plumbing was backed up somewhere between the outside of my mobile home and the end of the drainfield. Ryan came in and broke it all down and clearly explained each step of the way and how to move forward. He was professional, punctual and most important honest. At the time that was still yet to be seen but now the job is completed i know it to be fact.

+ -1 moreQuoted $300+ for repair, he said wall had to be torn apart, and added bathtub leaking and added hot water tank -which he turned temperature down, so it appeared to be inop. My plumber came, repaired, $300 with travel fee. Had Hunts for laundry room drain overflow, had bought Angies list, so price was fixed. It took alot of my time and was frustrated and upset at high quote, and buying and returning hot water heater and arranged for install (gas).
