From start to finish, our experience with Evergreen Home Exteriors was a process of their over-commitment and under-performance. While the actual construction varied from sloppy to quite good, there was a total absence of competent project management. Things started off well. The two guys who did the demo, clean up, power washing, and haul away did a great job. They arrived on time, they stayed until they were done, they were friendly and they were professional. After that, however, when â project managementâ was required, total incompetence was repeatedly demonstrated. Rarely did anyone show up when we were told they would. We were more than once promised a â crewâ and got a single guy for a couple of hours before he was pulled away for a bigger (i.e. more important job). No one seemed to have a clue where to get the decking material from. The wrong size or type of materials were repeatedly delivered. At the time of contract signing (June 19), we were told we' d be provided the best tight knot cedar decking on the market. It won't be that swamp wood you get from the big box stores.â We were told we could have it delivered dry and wrapped to our garage for storage prior to construction beginning. We were told that since our small project was only 273 sf, we'd have a dedicated crew assigned to us who would be able to knock the entire project out in one or two days. None of this was true. There was no dedicated delivery of really good stuff. Instead, material was sourced seemingly randomly from Gray Lumber a few times and Dunn Lumber at least once. It took five full or partial deliveries to eventually get the (marginally) suitable material. The first delivery was almost comically a mix of warped and broken wood, which looked like it had been removed from a shed the day before and repurposed for our project. Some of it was even partially stained. The owner of Evergreen is quoted on his company' s webpage as saying I know how frustrating it is when a company doesn't keep their promises. No matter how big we get, I will always be involved in making sure every last customer is treated the way I want to be treated. That is my promise and our mission as a company. It's hard not to contrast that fine sentiment with our interactional experience. On August 13, the day after I had authorized a final payment distribution to Evergreen from the financing company we were using, I sent a text to Evergreen' s owner asking when we might expect to see one of his workmen at our home to replace what he himself had previously seen and acknowledged to be a temporary fix to part of the rail system surrounding our deck. I was told this would be a simple fix and we were right to expect it to be done. His response to my August 13 text was It' s going to be very tough for us to fit that in anytime soon we are really running ragged trying to keep up That was the last I ever heard from an Evergreen representative. Not my idea of customer service! Maybe if my project had been larger

The customer service from Evergreen and the workmanship we were forced to endure was abysmal. While there were some unanticipated delays in the project due to unexpected damage (rot) from the previous unsatisfactory siding product, the way the project was managed and the communication was HORRIBLE. There were at least 7 different work crews (20-25 different people) sent out to our property over the nearly 8-week total project - none aware of what they were supposed to do that day or who performed the work the previous day. We - the customer - were constantly being asked *Who did that?* Or *Why did they do it that way?* By the owner and each new work crew that showed up. There was no consistency - in personnel, in workmanship, quality, communications, schedule - ANYTHING! Jon, the owner, constantly made promises about when certain milestones would be met or items completed and every time - EVERY TIME - we were disappointed. The only thing we came to count on was being let down. The amount of re-work that had to be done was outrageous. When there is not a consistent crew, there is no accountability or care taken because they were often sent off to a different job site the next day. Numerous boards were damaged because they were not installed by crews who cared, so they had to be repaired, replaced or repainted. One careless crew broke off a piece of our generator, while another shorted out our heat pump in the midst of their work; another careless crew spilled paint and caulk all over our porch, patio, and walkways. Attempts were made to clean this up and it is mostly gone, but if care was taken to begin with, none of this would be necessary. When we asked why there was not a consistent crew or foreman, we were told that the business is growing so fast and that they are *so busy; not able to keep up; we were desperate for work crews*. Desperate?!? While I do not expect to be a contractors only customer, I do hope that for this type of investment, they will at least try to make me feel like our business is valued - not like we are an irritation. When we would raise issues with workmanship and quality, the owner would act irritated and question the validity of our concerns. We were promised *daily communication* from him, but that did not occur. Some crews showed up at 10:30 am, some at 7:00 am, some never at all - we never knew from one day to the next who would show up at our property or what kind of work would be done. At the end of the day, we are very happy with how our house looks - it is essentially brand new. But it is absolutely NOT been worth the inconvenience, stress, frustration that we have endured over the past two months. There was another local company that had similar pricing but was not able to get us on their schedule until January 2020 - this was the deciding factor for us and why we ended up going with Evergreen. Evergreen also had high ratings and positive reviews on both HomeAdvisor, so we felt like this was the best decision for us. If we had had any idea what an absolutely painful experience it would have been to deal with this company, how dismissive they would be about our concerns throughout the process, and the complete disregard for communications and customer service, I would have gladly waited an additional 6 months and gone with the other company. Even though the same unanticipated issues would have arisen (wood rot, etc.), and we would have had the same siding product installed, there is absolutely no way possible we could have been treated any worse or had a worse experience. I could never in good conscience recommend this company to anyone. The products they sell and install are very high quality, however, there are many other contractors who offer the same products AND provide great customer service.

Be very specific as to what you expect.

This company built a porch deck for me. They exceeded my expectations at every turn. The estimator arrived on time. He was knowledgeable and so helpful. The project started on time and finished on time. I was out of state during the build and my friend was checking on the progress for me. They were consistently polite and informative to my friend but they also called and gave me a progress report every day! I had previously owned a construction company in Denver and am VERY picky and they exceeded my expectations!

We had a couple of issues come up after the project was completed and my husband called the builder who said he would come by and he did not. Otherwise, satisfied with the outcome of the deck.

Evergreen Windows replace/restored the underside of a deck with 5&34; of stamped concrete on the surface. Very complicated project and I had bids costing $10,000 all the way up to $54,000. Thankfully we went with Evergreen Windows, LLC. Excellent Bid, Started on time, Finished ahead of schedule, Adjusted cost accordingly, Excellent carpenters, and Excellent communication!! I highly recommend Evergreen Windows, LLC, and I would use their services again for future projects.

Evergreen, Did a wonderful job on the deck I had them build. They made sure that I was satisfied with the workmanship and materials used to complete the work. The workers that installed the deck were very nice and ensured that I was happy with the completed job. I would recommend Evergreen to anyone looking for a job done right and most of all a job done to your satisfaction

Evergreen Windows was a joy to work with. They communicated well, showed up when they said they would be there, worked fast and cleaned up their work space. All their employees were professional and personable. I plan to use them again. I highly recommend them!

I had a concern I was able to reach out to the manager directly. I was provided his phone number at the beginning of the job and I feel that he really cared about our satisfaction. The crew, led by Jake and Joe were skilled, efficient, polite and friendly! Lee really made a difference in the appearance of the home. So happy we picked Evergreen!

The crew worked steady and did good work, however, their schedule was haphazard. No consistent start or stop time.

Jake, Joe and team of 4 were so friendly and explained processes to me along the way of my 9 window installation. There workmanship is excellent and I couldn't be more pleased with the finished project. Extremely nice gentlemen to work with. Highly recommended!!

Excellent customer service. Workers were on time, courteous and professional, and did a good job cleaning everything up afterward.

There was never a moment that I felt like I was “just another customer”. I felt like these guys not only cared about my business, but they really cared about making sure the end result was going to meet my needs. During the initial meeting they asked thoughtful questions that helped us determine the parameters and scope of the project. I also really appreciated the fact that they did not use “high pressure” sales techniques. (We had another company come out to bid the job, and THAT salesperson would not leave until we signed a contract — needless to say, we did not go with that company.). Evergeen completed the work quickly and efficiently, and followed up with us after the job was done. It was a pleasure to work with these professionals.

They were prompt, dependable, & very positive attitude. The siding has made our home look brand new. I'd definitely recommend them to others.

Siding was warped on the weather side of my house and partially in front. Front side had wall height wooden shutters, original to the structure. Interviewed multiple contractors and after meeting with Jon, his solution to re-side both walls and replace shutters seemed best. His team was incredible! they were professional and personable, did a fantastic job with the siding replacement, shutter replacement and painting both walls. . I would definitely recommend and re-hire if the need arises. I was also very impressed with the fact that his company is family owned - it shows - because of the value, work ethic, close attention to detail and very good communication I'd experienced with EVERGREEN! Jon's team truly care about the work they do and their customers. HIGHLY recommend.

Our vinyl siding melted due to our barbecue being too close to the side of our house. Jon and his employee did a fantastic job repairing then painting the siding. It blends perfectly and you can't tell there was anything done. They were respectful, trustworthy and professional. I would not hesitate recommending them to anyone. In addition, we had an issue with the new buyers' insurance company. Jon took the time to send our agent the pictures and a complete description of the damage and the work performed. I really appreciate the extra effort he took for us.
