We contracted with Evergreen however they hired a sub-contractor to do the work. This was a surprise to us. The time between signing the contract and the start of the project was longer than quoted. We were assigned to one project manager and two days later we found out that he was no longer with the company. The project turned out well in the end - thanks to the work of the sub-contractor.

AVOID this contractor! Worst experience ever. Our project was a condo kitchen remodel - new countertops, floor tiles, sink, vent hood. We actually had four different outfits quote, Evergreen was in the middle and made many promises that were not kept. Project costs were SEVERELY under estimated. Final cost was almost doubled the original estimate. We contracted the project in April 2023, paid our upfront money and waited. Evergreen FINALLY completed our project in December 2023. We went through no less that four project managers (we lost track), two different countertop hard measurement people, construction crew changed personnel three times because people either quit or were fired by Evergreen, ZERO communication unless they wanted money. Estimator promised professional electrician, plumber, and construction crew. We got a pair of handymen for sink, floor and vent hood install. Countertops were over estimated and cost significantly more that the original allowance. We experienced leaks in the plumbing after the new sink install. Every time we requested they fix it, Evergreen would send the same handyman who was not a professional plumber and it would not get fixed. And they charged us EVERY time we requested they fix their mistakes. Finally told them it was done. After-which we called our own professional plumber to repair everything they messed up (worth every penny for the extra cost). The end result is basically acceptable, but the overall experience was extremely unpleasant and stressful. Knowing what we know now, we NEVER would use Evergreen again. GOOD RIDDANCE!!!

We were told they would have our project done within a certain time frame. They missed that time frame and then two more. Everything they told us they would do never happened from putting up dust barriers, having specialist install cabinets, tubs etc. we had two general contractors that were not employees of Evergreen. They were a nice crew but not what we were told would happen when we signed contracts. You can never get ahold of your project manager and even the cabinet guy said he can never get ahold of anyone at this company. I would not recommend using them.

We hired Evergreen after hearing quotes from 5 other deck companies. Overall, we are very satisfied! We were a little surprised with the price but their quote was within range of all the others and they stayed within budget. We were super happy that they were able to start earlier than the 8 week estimated time from when we signed the contact. There were a few issues with delivery of deck boards when the truck broke down but we loved how great their communication was throughout! We also liked that they used Buildertrend, which helped to keep us updated of progress every step of the way. Finally, everyone at Evergreen was super friendly! Shout out to Steven and Alonna for their support as the Project Management team. The best part is we love our new deck and now we get the whole summer to enjoy it!

After some situations with the drive space, things have been corrected, so drive space works. Project manager Jon worked with me to rectify the problem. Only issue left is the look of the column with unprofessional cement work.

Was not going to bother with a review until today when I checked on the pierce county web site looking for permits for my property and the one that evergreen submitted was cancelled in December of 2022 because they did not submit changes the county asked for. Now I have a deck and roof extension over the deck that was never approved by the county. This was over 1400 sf deck and around 400 square foot roof partially covering the deck. To this day the builder trend website says permitted. They kept trying to convince me that the project did not require a permit. They are wrong. The following is a quote from pierce county bulletin 8. International residential code R105.2 Work exempt from permit. Permits shall not be required for the following. paragraph 10. Decks not exceeding 200 square feet in area, that are not more than 30 inches above grade at any point, are not attached to a dwelling and do not serve the exit door. Our deck is attached to the house is over 1400 sf thus it required a permit. This is the first time i have ever had a project of this magnitude done and did not really know what to expect. Shame on me for not doing my own research. Live and learn. 3 crews worked on this project. First 2 were fired. Think we went thru 6 project managers starting in Feb. Think the final PM came on in late August. Paid deposit in Feb 2022. Removed old deck myself in Feb and March. Work did not start until June and finally finished in November. I had them replace a French door with a slider as an add on to the project. The last project manager was asked to quote what it would cost for the finishing moulding work because that was not included in the cost. The project manager was also asked to provide a quote for deck around our pool. Never got back to me with either quote and I am glad he did not. If you are expecting good customer service go elsewhere. Workmanship once completed is good. Just took forever to get it done.

This painful process began in late March 2022. We selected Evergreen after receiving 3 or 4 quotes. The salesman stated they were approximately 3 months out, seemed fair. He let us know there is an app that will update us throughout the process. Cool, we give them a $25K deposit and we wait. Mid-April, we get a voicemail and update on the Builder Trend app they are calling to give us a timeframe. After that, RADIO SILENCE for 2 months!!! I have all the dates of, but to save the numbers of characters allowed, I will leave them out. For the next 2 months, we are told lie after lie about the status of this project!! We received a phone call 9/15, the Vice President will be reaching out to us because our previous (2nd or 3rd at this point) project manager had been lying and all his customers were screwed. Our permit had not been resubmitted to the city as we had been told, so NOTHING was being done for 2 MONTHS!!! We then get charged for the addition work the engineer is having to do. Not sure why they didnâ t know what would be expected of structural drawings in order to pass for permitting, but alas they DID NOT. Both my husband and I have made several attempts to call and my husband went to their office multiple times during the course of this project and more often than not, we did not receive return calls. I had a number of my questions ignored on the app as well. After several calls for updates from them finally, we our permit application was approved on 12/2!!! The work begins on 1/9. 9 MONTHS after they received our down payment, they start our project and as of today itâ s still not complete!! Around this same time, we received a call from someone from Evergreen asking about the deck we were looking to build. So almost 10 months after we put out a request on â Home Advisorsâ , a representative reaches out?? Are you kidding me?!? I said, â Ummm you guys are building our deck right now!!!â Also, do not put trust in Home Advisor or Angieâ s List, as companies pay to be included. Itâ s not based on their reputation or work produced!! I did not know that!! I have worked in customer service my whole working life and I am beyond appalled and disgusted at the treatment we have received. I will say the workmanship of the employees that are actually building the deck is phenomenal and we have no complaints. However, there have been additional pain pointsâ ¦ the trusses were delivered on a Thursday. They were not coming back to start the work until Tuesday. When they showed up, they realized the trusses were the wrong size and would need to get the correct ones. Why was that not discovered on Thursday so we could have received the correct ones earlier?!? Another delay!! We then received a Change Order update on the app with a $9,240.00 invoice attached last week. There was no discussion with us that we would be charged an extremely large fee for an error on their part. Today, I open the app to a message stating and I quote, â Why is there still an outstanding change order that has not been signed or paid? Please get that taken care of today. Thank youâ . This is the worst display of business etiquette I have seen! Who talks to their customers like this after a nightmare process, after deceiving them and dragging out a project for months?!? A shitty business, thatâ s who!! I feel like a child being reprimanded by a parent; you do not get to talk to customers like this!!! I will tell anyone who asks, DO NOT use Evergreen Exterior for your projects!! The owner will claim I am a disgruntled ex-employee, or it was the permitting that made the process take this long; however, I assure you it is neither of those things! The individuals who manage this company are completely at fault, for either not being engaged and managing their staff properly or blatantly looking the other way. First review I've ever written but I really feel the need to warn people.

Evergreen home Exteriors took our ideas and brought them to life. We had bids from 3 other companies and are so grateful we chose Evergreen. Their attention to detail, professionalism and follow up exceeded our expectations. Our 1800 sf. Deck is absolutely gorgeous. They will begin our siding rehab this month and we cannot wait!

The salesman did not say we wouldnâ t be getting face boards on the stairs that the cut ends of the board would not have touch up stain and no facia boards. Details that would have made our customer experience much better. Get it down in writing before signing the contract.

We Hired Evergreen for a very Large project on a Home we were fixing up. We thoroughly enjoyed the experience through the whole process. When Sam came out and gave us the estimate he was super knowledgeable about the whole build and all of the products that we were using, and not to mention very funny, we enjoyed his company very much. They set us up with a online portal that gave us notifications on everything and daily updates on the whole project whenever anything was happening. We were never put on the backburner or left in the dark for anything for any reason. They did such a good job on the house we couldn't be happier! We will always recommend Evergreen whenever given the chance.

Paid these guys 13k for a deck frame. They delivered a frame that was neither flat nor level and was nailed to the house (maybe they have not kept up with changing code in the last three decades). I tried to get them to correct their work several times, but they made it pretty clear they were not interested in delivering a decent product. Honestly, I should have withheld my final payment but I was tired of dealing with them. I spent a significant amount of money and time fixing their work which included replacing and leveling joists, and rebuilding the stairs. Buyer beware.

I have waited a month to write this review as I did not want to seem like an angry woman - but I am. I liked Drew the one who gave an estimate. The installers were nice but I could not communicate or ask questions as we did not speak the same language. So I would send my questions to the project manager and he would respond. By that time they had done something I had not wanted. The project was to be James Hardy but then I was told no baked on color for soffits and fascia? so it needed painting. Nice guys but really poor job..my 70+ year old husband ended up on scaffolding and doing the painting!! We had put 60% down and then the owner demanded - on the phone - the balance...I still had a mess everywhere. When I said not until done - he got mean and bulling to the point I was in tears and handed the phone to my husband. We ended up paying before job done with landscaping destroyed, deck damaged screens on window damaged and no way to have them fix when they were paid. Love the look of the James Hardy siding, liked the online portal (the workers did not post ) but I could send concerns. We spent the last 4 weeks repairing and trying to fix the mess left. I would not recommend the company! The owner was unkind and abusive - would never work with him again! project manager travis - good to work with but his apology was not enough to fix the problem. Should have done with one of the other 5 estimates I got.

On April 28,2021 I contracted with Evergreen Home Exteriors to tear down and rebuild my deck I put down $ 24,034. As a fifty percent down payment in order to secure a scheduled work start in ten weeks (July 7,2021) Evergreen did not schedule me but told the salesman to tell me they wanted an additional $5ooo. He said it had to do with the price of materials. I said no, I want to cancel, send back my money. Another individual identifying himself as a project manager at the company told me it wasn t materials at all, just that the job was under bid. I said no, I want to cancel send back my money. There was no response to my requests. The job started Aug 4 th and was red tagged by the county on Aug 6th for lack of permit. (the salesman had given a yes answer when I asked about a permit). Damage to the house had occurred, cracks in walls, sliding door askew at an angle. Many more delays and painful mis communications. Including refusing to disclose to me complete justification of expenses on a $10,763. Change order. Still unresolved. The build resumed on Nov. 17 th and was completed Dec. 17 th . The carpenters, Richard, John, and Matt were excellent, precise and worked in cold and rainy conditions. A fine deck was built. Aside from the end product, I would NOT recommend Evergreen Home Exteriors It was a nerve wracking experience.
