Ben's Appliance Service

He came out to fix a dishwasher that I thought was not emptying when it turned out that it was the garbage disposal causing the problem. He diagnosed it but didn't charge me anything because he doesn't install garbage disposals. Writing this I feel guilty. He did come out and he did inspect and diagnose the problem.

The service call went great. Ben arrived on time and was fully equipped to do the job. The washing machine had mysteriously stopped the day before. I had gone through all the electrical possibilities on my own and found nothing. When Ben arrived he found that the lid switch was broken. It was a simple fix which he took care of immediately and even checked our fridge for leak at no extra charge. Very satisfied with the service and would call him again.

I called to make an appointment because our dishwasher motor is making a lot of noise when it is running. I answered some questions and giving some information I was told the motor is going out. I appreciated the information I received over the phone saving me the time and expense of a service call to find out the same thing.

Ben and his son-in-law were very professional and polite. They had to pull the dishwasher out and disconnect wires and drains etc performing tests to establish where the blockage was. The SIL was getting on the job training but it was not a hindrance to getting it done. Although I thought the cost was on the high side I would hire them again.

He was very thorough in looking it over but was unable to fix it. He did not charge me for the service and visit. He told me I was going to have to call a GE service man. I had 2 GE service men out in the next couple of months, I spent $550.00 and it still was not fixed. I finally called GE consumer line and they came out and put all new parts in it as they just were not sure what was wrong. I was not charged for this visit since I had already spent so much and it was not fixed. It finally is fixed. Ben was very honest about that he could not fix it, unlike the 2 GE men.

I spent a fair amount of time on the phone (multiple calls) with Elizabeth to ensure they ordered the proper parts. (I needed a new upper rack brace and small rack part) She had me visually confirm on a website that they looked like what was broken. When Ben and his helper arrived, the job was done quickly, and properly performed. The service call price seemed a bit steep, since I did all the part trouble-shooting over the phone - it would seem very reasonable if a trip was needed to order parts. (There was also an install fee.) BUT, they did a great job, and we will call again, if the need arises.

Ben arrived with the part needed to complete the repair. I was afraid he would not be able to get the broken piece out of the dishwasher. I was wrong. Ben knew exactly what to do and he did it fast. The experience was great. Ben was very professional and kind. I will absolutely use him in the future.

My washing machine was making a horrible loud, grinding noise. I called Ben who asked to listen to the noise on the phone. He gave me an estimate on the phone and told me what part he would need. He arrived exactly at the time he said he would, calling just before arrival. He had the part with him. He came in, did the repair, cleaned up and and machine worked great! That was 6 months ago and the washing machine is still washing away with no problems. I was impressed with the service of Ben's Appliance!

Ben had to remove the mcrowave oven and take it back to his shop for repairs. A few days later, returned with a perfectly working oven and installed it with no problems. He also repaired a minor problem we had with our dishwasher installation as a courtesy and did not charge us extra for that work. He and his wife are very pleasant, professional, and knowledgable regarding their business. He is the first company I will call when i have an appliance problem. Would not hesitate to recommend him.

Elizabeth (and I'm assuming Ben, although I've only spoken with Elizabeth) is very friendly, courteous, and professional. They provide an excellent and fair service.

Scheduled the time quickly due to our short window of availability. Arrived on time. Did the work, fixed the dishwasher. All is fine.

Extremely pleased! From initial contact to job completion, we could not ask for a better, more professional experience. Ben came fully prepared with needed parts from our description of the problem. Five minutes to diagnose the problem, 10 minutes to fix it; fully explaining the process and requirements as he progressed. The service cost was very reasonable--less than we expected. Ben's Appliance is an easy choice for all our future appliance repair needs!

From start to finish it was pleasure to do business with Ben. His prices are fair. he is prompt and professional. I will use Ben's Appliance in the future.

Told Ben over the phone, what the dryer's problem was. He agreed, and ordered the part. When the roller came in, he called and made an appointment to install the roller. It took around an hour, to an hour, and a half. Ben was very prompt, and professional. I would definitely recommend, and use his services again in the future :) Another happy customer!

Called on Monday. Scheduled for Wednesday. Arrived on schedule. Promptly diagnosed the problem and replaced the worn out part. He had the new part with him. Seemed to resolve the problem. Price was fair, I guess. Price was what he quoted. Thursday if became apparent the soap dispenser was not working. Called and scheduled for Monday. He arrived on schedule and replaced another part. Paid the cost of the part, only. Ben was pleasant and knowledgeable. Very satisfactory experience.

Ben arrived on time. He listened carefully to my description of the problem, and he patiently caused the refrigerator to produce the bothersome noise. After completing the repair, Ben explained and showed me exactly what he had done. Before leaving I told him that we had not been happy with our gas stove as the front burner did not spark enough to start. Even though this was not expected, he fixed that problem at no additional cost. It was a pleasure doing business with such a professional.

(Un)Fortunately this is about the fifth time we've used Ben's Appliance Service in the past two years. It seems all our major appliances are having issues at the 7-8 year mark since purchasing them. This time it was our Maytag dryer. For about a month an intermittent squeaking noise came from the dryer while operating. We called Ben's Appliance at the first squeak but Elizabeth suggested it could be a rubber band or other debris causing the noise and it could clear itself. In fact the noise seemed to go away for a week or so but then got louder and shriller as the weeks passed. We called again and Ben was available the same week. He arrived on time, diagnosed the issue quickly, had the necessary part with him and finished the repair in less than an hour. He showed me the worn part and we tested the repair. It has been a couple of weeks. We've done many loads of laundry and the squeak is gone. Kudos to Ben for another job well done. Ben's fee schedule has increased and I was a little surprised by the final price (close to $220 with tax) but that included all the services, the call out, the parts and labor. The price wouldn't stop me from calling again in the future or recommending Ben's Appliance Service to others.

He arrived on time. He diagnosed and fixed the machine within 45 minutes. We found a mangled sock we had been missing for 6 months as the culprit. I couldn't have fixed it myself based on my son's description of his work.
