Ben's Appliance Service

I called Ben and Elizabeth on Sunday late afternoon, and Ben was at the house the next morning. I was so thankful for their speediness. Ben came in and took apart the dryer -- an older Kenmore gas model -- and quickly identified the reason it wasn't drying. He switched out some parts, installed a new fuse and had it up and running within an hour. The whole thing was under $250, which included a service call charge, parts, and taxes. Now, the dryer is probably good for another ten years and saves me from having to buy a whole new washer dryer pair (which is was dreading!) Ben is incredibly professional and fast! I highly recommend the service.

I contacted several appliance contractors for quotes. None of the contractors I contacted responded thru my "request quote" on AngliesList.com. The other contractors I called gave quotes that were competitive with Bens' Appliance. I called Ben's Appliance office, discussed the oven symptoms, gave them the model number JGSP28SEK4SS & scheduled the repair. The office person was very pleasant & helpful discussing the problem & scheduling the repair. Ben came about 15 min early, was very pleasant & answered all my questions in detail. He came with the correct parts & performed the repair in approx 30 minutes. The oven ignitor part costs $123. Labor was $178. Total cost of repair was $301. I asked him to look at one of the stove-top burners that was not consistently lighting. He cleaned the corroded ignitor & it lights consistently now. Cleaning the corroded ignitor was no charge.

Awesome! It was easy to schedule the appointment and he showed up rIght on time. Turned out it was a simple 5minute fix and he didn’t even charge me for the service! Friendly professional and honest—he could’ve upsold me to replace to entire hose and I wouldn’t have known any better. I would definitely use him again.

Although the repsonse to the message I left was very prompt, they declined to do the service, "Ben doesn't like to work on those." No harm no foul" but discouraging that they could not provide the service/

On 4/18/2018 I called Ben's Appliance Service because my dishwasher would not drain. Ben's wife Elizabeth answered the phone and set up the appointment for the next day, 4/19, between 10:15 and 1:00 pm. Elizabeth is very nice on the phone. Ben and Elizabeth both arrived at my house on 4/19 at about 10:25 AM. Ben is a terrific appliance repair person. He removed the standing water in the dishwasher with a shopvac. He then checked various places to see what was wrong. He quickly discovered my little drain motor part was not running, so he replaced the part. He had this part in his truck, because when I called Elizabeth to make the appt., she asked for the model #/brand and Ben stocked his truck accordingly. No waiting for ordering a part. Ben is very helpful and friendly. He is also very clean, no mess left. The bill was very fair. I will call Ben from now on.

Ben was awesome...professional yet personalbe...I have already given out his contact info to others...Elizabeth was also very kind,helpful & informative...I told Ben he has a friend for life!!!

I called because my refrigerator was freezing food in the refrigeration compartment. I'd used Ben's before and was pleased by the work. When asked the age of the appliance I was told that it would probably cost more to fix it than it was worth for the service call. I was also offered thoughts on the brands to consider for a new refrigerator, with the offer to contact them if I had questions as I shopped. I did have a question and the answer I received was very helpful. I'll always call Ben's first for appliance issues.

This was my first time I have used Ben's Appliance Service. I had a 9-11 am window for service on my washing machine and Ben arrived about 9:15. After spending about 30-40 minutes opening up and checking out my machine, Ben told me the bearings were going and it was not worth fixing (it's a 17 year old machine) as it would be cheaper to buy a new one. He did not charge me for the diagnostics. Ethical and honest; you don't see that too often anymore.

They came on time, got the job done real quickly. very efficient and very professional.

Wish I could have had these wonderful 'honest' people do the repair.... but Elizabeth took the time to see if perhaps the fridge repair would be covered by recall - sadly it wasn't! But how many repair people would take the time to go the extra mile - even tho we live outside of their service area!!! So I'm still trying to get "OTHER" repair people to even call me back! I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND this company!

Ben was very informative and fixed our issue quickly.

On time and the work was done quickly. He also showed me how to fix the ice maker in the refrigerator.

I contacted Ben's to request a diagnosis of a washing machine that had started vibrating badly. He arrived, as scheduled, a couple days later to look at our machine. He couldn't find anything wrong with it other than that the drum somehow was out of round. He had never seen anything like that and said that the drum would need to be replaced. The office later contacted me with the estimate for the repair and it was as much as a new washer so we declined. Ben didn't charge us anything for his trip out or his diagnosis. Excellent customer service!

Repair was done in a professional manner

Perfect. Ben and his wife work well together. He didn't have the part he needed. Called his wife and she brought it very fast.

Very good experience. Ben was able to repair the washer rather than replacing the part, saving us about 50% on the bill. Showed up on time and was very professional. Will certainly use Ben's again.

My dryer wasn't heating. Ben discovered there had been a dryer fire in the past and cleaned that all up. I asked if I needed to buy a new dryer because of the fire and he said no...he could make it work great and safely! Once Ben was done replacing the Thermal Fuse and doing his QC the Belt Switch stopped working. He replaced that as well. Ben was personable, professional, and friendly. Bent's Appliance is my new appliance servicer!

Elizabeth called me as soon as they opened (from leaving a message the night before. He fixed the dryer that day. Thank you both for your great care!

Called on 12/18 hoping to get my oven working again for Christmas. The fuse blew inside the unit during the clean cycle and we couldn't find it looking in manual or on line. They scheduled time to come out the next working day but called us back within hours of reporting our problem to give us the fix over the phone. We tried it over the weekend and it worked! How nice is that to have a contractor tell you how to fix it yourself. Love these guys. Will definitely call with any future appliance issues.

Ben did an excellent job. We had called other installers who were not able to do the job promptly. Ben's office responded right away and the work was completed within two days. He arrived promptly and completed the work efficiently. In addition, he spent a significant amount of time explaining to us the unique features of our new dishwasher and suggested ways to use it most efficiently. We are very pleased with Ben's work and would highly recommend him.

We had them out for a dishwasher repair and they said they didn't have the schematics on it and had to talk to people to find out what they were supposed to do. I called them two weeks later and they claimed they were still talking to people. Another two weeks and I called back again and they said they were talking to GE because its a GE appliance so I called back two weeks after that and I told them that I thought it was the computer component on the top. They said they'd go ahead and order the 200 dollar part. Two weeks later, my husband called them but they never called us back. They just kind of washed their hands of us and never called us back. They were real good on responsiveness on coming out.

A couple of bearings or something was out and they just did it boom boom boom boom. They did a great job.

It went well. He knew exactly what was wrong and fixed it immediately. He also explained the process to me and showed me the part he put in, explaining how it worked. The price may have been a little high but I thought it was worth it considering how quickly and efficiently he worked.

I have always gotten great service from them. They are amazing, try to diagnose over the phone to save money. There have been times when they came out and couldn't fix it. They didn't charge us for the trip and recommended an electrician. I have been using them for a couple of years. I like his professionalism and he is very honest and is very helpful. If he can't help us, he doesn't charge me. I would recommend him to everybody. His prices have been extremely fair.
